Wonchu, what is Sexy Commando you might ask? it's an ancient martial art invented by some Japanese warlord and it's so good that only few can master it hence this manga, the story of the Sexy Commando club also known as the Mustache club.

Masaru is the main character of this comedy manga that centers around him doing stupid things at school alongside some pals and some enemies. One may think it's the usual slice of life manga from the 90s where acting idiotic and making funny reaction faces was peak comedy and you won't be wrong. The adventures of the group are pure nonsense, insane ... things happen for no reason, be them aliens, fights against yakuza, monsters, angry teachers, horrible puns, surreal Japanese folk stories, superheroes.

Now imagine all the potential this has, a fan of comedies has a clear picture in mind after the first paragraph but they will be wrong. To explain, Sexy Commando uses nonsense and lack of logic to the extreme and no context can save its ass, I say that chaos, clutter and confusion are the things that define this manga.
At the surface we have 4 boys with weird names (Masaru, Machahiko, Kyasharin, Fuumin), one girl Moe-Moe who is searching for the legendary blue mustache, a meso (yes, it's a thing that exists, his or her name is Meso), an old guy, let's call him Susan and the rest are background characters like the hot teacher or was she a nurse that barely appears, some other teachers and some enemies that attack the club for unknown reasons.

Readers will notice that the action is set in Japan yet we have a King David bus station, it's probably some joke related to something but I don't get it.
The infamous Chronicle of Elise is a sexy commando jutsu used by advanced practitioners, hopefully the members will use it when a fight happens. Will Masaru defend the honor of his club, can he defeat 3 fat guys alone, what are the charm points on his shoulders?
Asking questions that never get an answer is the true experience of Sexy Commando, well sometimes we do get an answer but that answer only poses even more questions.

The art style is simple and crude, I won't say it's bad because I can see the mangaka can draw better but he refuses to. Lots of times we will see stick figures, lack of backgrounds or closeups for no reason just to fill up a page. And he also refuses to draw cute girls which would have saved the readers' sanity. The manga looks like "Super Beginner's Guide to drawing manga" or "The lazy way of drawing manga to impress".

Moe-Moe is very cute, I recommend this manga to all people who like Moe-Moe, she is kind and very friendly, a beautiful girl who is friends with these ugly blockheads, she is a ray of sunshine in this catastrophic story and makes everything better just by existing.
