WOW this was better than I expected after having read the synopsis. A big aspect to romcoms that a lot of people dislike is when the mc takes too long, hesitates or just pussies out of situations that would usually progress the romance. I felt like in this manga the mc is NOT a pussy at all but when he messes up you can really understand him and the justification is usually satisfying.

The "side" characters where not annoying and actually helpful to the development of the main plot while being unique on their own. Some of their actions are still kinda cliché and expected ...

I love this manga definitely one of the best ones I've read.

The story is good, I've read great mangas maybe on par with this but I think the charm on this is not on the storyline and I'm not saying that the story sucks I'm saying that the story is really great and there's something greater. The characters' development, their facial expressions especially when fmc has a chibi-like appearance which is kinda cute and kinda funny at the same time. Although I'd argue the series doesn't excel in most aspects, it remains a perfectly average high school romcom that does some interesting things. For one, the flipping of "dense male MC" to the female MC is pretty interesting. However the constant miscommunication caused by the fact that one of the two MC's is denser than a neutron star is just as annoying even if the gender is swapped. The obligatory love triangle actually takes an interesting turn, as we're led to believe Kurokawa's friend is in love with Shiraishi, when in reality she was in love with Kurokawa herself.
