Sakurazaka46, formerly Keyakizaka46, is a Japanese idol girl group produced by Yasushi Akimoto. The group was created on August 21, 2015, becoming Nogizaka46's first sister group under the Sakamichi Series. The group was rebranded as Sakurazaka46 after their last concert on October 13, 2020. The group's fans are known as Buddies.

As Keyakizaka46, the group had released nine singles with only one title track center, eight of which topped the Weekly Oricon Singles Chart and Billboard Japan Hot 100, with their debut single “Silent Majority” breaking the debut week sales record for female artists in Japan, until being later broken by Hinatazaka46. The group had also released three compilation albums, one of which was released by Hiragana Keyakizaka46, a subgroup who later became an independent group, Hinatazaka46.

As of 2025 as Sakurazaka46, the group has released thirteen more singles with 8 different title track center’s, twelve of which having also topped the Weekly Oricon Singles Chart and eleven of which having topped Billboard Japan Hot 100. Sakurazaka46 has released two compilation albums both featuring W-center’s, “As you know” (2022) and “Addiction” (2025), the latter of which featuring an experimental approach straying from traditional Japanese idol group practices via collaborating with several prominent DJ’s around the world, such as NAELECK, Ninajirachi, Raiden, NURKO, devin and TSAR.

The group is most known for their intense dance/choreography skills, artistic lyrics (most of the time), large group synchronisation and deeply expressive live performances while also singing live without the need for backing tracks/lip syncing. As Sakurazaka46 the group has expanded into a various range of emotions, while keeping the signature non-autotune, fast paced monologues/verses/chorus’ singing style which originated from their time Keyakizaka46.

In 2026 they are set to have their debut concert at the National Stadium, being the first female idol group to perform a solo live at the new renovated stadium, as part of their 5th anniversary live (10th anniversary including Keyakizaka46). Additionally, the group hosts multiple variety shows, radio programs, television dramas and a variety youtube channel, where content regularly receives English language subtitles.
