This is one of the greatest anime novels to have been written by a non Japanese author. It surprisingly equips itself with all the necessary feats that is required of a masterpiece. The plot and the main character, Alex, constantly keeps you on edge because they continue to surprise you, the readers. Though some aspects of the novel are like a typical shounen manga, sometimes the feeling of parody arises. All the characters, whether good or evil, or in between, are genuinely unique and likable. So many aspects of life are associated in the series and the corruption of humanity is really revealed before ... our eyes. Discrimination may be the core theme revolving around the series, but many other themes and moral are also brought up, which leave you thinking about the world we live in. An excellent work. I am glad to have come across it.
