This review is not only about Deep Love: Host, but also about deep love Ayu story, Pao story and Reina, unfortunately I haven't read Real yet because I couldn't find the full english/russian version if anyone can please tell me:)

So I had really high expectations of this because I really like tragedies and drama stories, when I asked about this manga everyone said it is the saddest thing ever so I was really excited.

I will not get into spoilers at all, feel free to read.

The story consists of tragedies, something bad happens, then feel ready that something even worse will happen. Something good happens, now ... feel ready that that good will go to waste and something horrible happens. Of course I understand it is a drama it has to be that way, but we don't even have time to get attached to characters, the only thing happening is tragedy after tragedy and the reader gets used to it extremely quickly, this is where most drama stories fall flat. Something good like Higurashi, where you also expect something bad to happen, takes it's time to develop, the tragedies don't just happen but they are built throughout the story, so when the things fall apart, you can see exactly how to first cracks where formed, but in deep love things just happen, like I don't feel shocked or devastated when tragedy occures, I am more annoyed than sad. I know if feels like I just can't handle sad stuff but it really isn't it, it is just poor story telling. though I will say that it still has good elements, I really like it's style, it is nothing unique and you've probably seen it multiple times, but I really enjoyed it and it fit the story really well, the characters are not really deep or greatly written but some of them are enjoyable and you are really rooting for them. The sad parts don't hit like in the beginning, but sometimes they still are really heavy and you actually might get emotional. I would say that it is still a decent manga especially if you are into this kind of stories, but I feel like it is really flawed, eventhough it has it's strong parts. I will now make the order in which I've read it and give it my ratings:))))

Deep Love: Story of Ayu - probably the best one from the four I've read, also since you are not ready rightaway the sad parts hit even more, I won't write too much because I've already said most of the things I wanted, but Ayu's story is pretty good, so I would say about 7/10.

Deep Love: Story of Pao - I think I didn't really get attached to this part, it already gave a feeling of tragedy after tragedy after tragedy and also the second part is the retelling of Ayu's story, but there are cool details which I liked, because it is told from dog's perspective and not Ayu's so there are stuff that Pao and Ayu see differently, but the moment might be the exact same, so that was good. Overall I would say 5/10

Deep Love Story of Reina - I liked this one the most maybe? Not sure, it was still the same idea, but even worse, I read it late at night so maybe I don't remember it that well, or maybe I overrated it while I was sleepy, because it was the most tragedy filled, it is literally 1 volume but author somehow managed to put every tragic event inside. 6-7/10

Deep Love Story Host - I wasn't really a fan of it, I barely remember most parts, of the story, which is weird because I read it just now and it is literally 2 volumes, but I would say that this one is also nothing really special, the first half was boring the second part just trying to be sad but I couldn't care for the characters that much. 5/10

So yeah, overall I still enjoyed it, wouldn't say I recommend but it was a decent read.

Well, it is really short and artstyle is really really good, it looks like some old romance something like Fruits Basket, but everything else is pretty mid. So I feel like it was extremely rushed, the deathgame itself was questionable because it was not even a game, either you kill the culprit or die one by one and literally nothing happened. The main antagonist is revealed literally in the first chapter, his motivation is bad, characters literally didn't deserve to die and last plot twist about the culprit was extremely underwhelmiing I am not gonna spoil but I literally didn't care. But well it was ... an easy read, the two main guys were not something special but they didn't bother me they were aight, so yeah, if you really love death games maybe you can spend half an hour on this, but if you are not a fan of this genre, you won't enjoy or like it.

Interesting start, characters seemed likable and atmosphere was really well made, I am really into that kind of horror and I though I was in for an interesting read, but after a couple of chapters you realise, this story is not going anywhere, I don't understand how is it has horror in it's genre, only that fact made me worried like dang something is about to happen, but no it does not, every chapter is this:

First 10 pages: Useless info
Last 10 pages: Licking feet

Still well it was not bad, at least it was not a hard read, but yeah a bit dissapointed, it reminded me ... of the witche's house or Ao Oni at first, both of which I really like, but turns out it was far from that, but maybe you'll enjoy it more than I did so good luck with that I guess.

Bru, I understand some guys might view it as a metaphoric work which conveys deep meanings of emotions such as love, bru girl was tongue kissin a dawg. I got it's message I am not dumb, but calling it great because it has a message is just trying to sound smart. I don't hate this manga or anything, but it was not good at all, art work was really beautiful and at first author was able to convey emotions and at the end also, but it was not anything special, I would recommend it, but only because of how short it is, if you like ... manga, want to feel some emotions in a few minutes definitely read it like, but yeah don't try to overplay it saying it is genius or anything it is what it is, it is a simple read with a simple meaning.

yeah I read it out of curiosity, I don't really regret it, but it will be stuck in your head for some time. I like gore, not in a cringy way I don't enjoy looking at it, but like many others sometimes curiosity is too strong and you just wanna see what's happening. first of all I have one question why does Mai not run away? if someone knows please tell I really wanna know like she clearly does not enjoy it like the other guy. so there was a scene with a newborn....I didn't expect censore to be in this manga but I thought ... that in asia they were really strict about showing violence towards pregnant women and ESPECIALLY towards newborns themselves, it was really, unpleasant. I would give it a 2 instead of 1 if it had just some kind of story like the girl tries to escape or something but no, author is just....something else. I don't really know how to review it, it is not viewed as a story to me just gore for the sake of gore like I wouldn't say I do not recommend because at the end of the day people who read something like daily life of mai chan they know exactly what they are looking for, so I wouldn't say don't read a gore manga because it is a gore manga. But there is no way I would recommend it to anyone, it is just for curiosity and nothing more, my honest rating 1/10 one of the worst things I've read.

Well, it had potential, I remember a few years ago I saw the cover but couldn't find it anywhere, not on mal not on any manga reading website, nowhere about a month ago I saw it scrolling on mal I was really happy because the cover seemed really promising and I wouldn't say it really disappointed, but I wouldn't say it was good.

There are two main things I absolutely loved about this manga, artstyle and horror aesthetic, art is just great, I love horrors and this is really one of the best arts I've seen ever in horror manga. What I mean by aesthetic is ... not what you would think, I articulated poorly mb mb, I mean that author has understanding of what scares people, his horror is really something I felt, but at the same time it also felt like author didn't really care about this manga, because often times stories were so quick that you would forget it immediately, I am writing review literally after finishing the manga and from 12 stories I already forgot a few. Still maybe it sounds like I didn't really like the manga, but it's not really the case I don't regret reading it, of course it doesn't come close to being a good manga, but it was a comfortable read, with panels after looking at which you might just stop and look at them, but unfortunately nothing outsanding and not scary, as most if not all horror mangas, if someone is reading this please if you know a really scary horror manga suggest anything:))

wow. I am familiar with the author by a questionable work, in which main character did.... an act to a dog. even though that manga was really messed up I felt like the author was not just some weird perverted guy, even in that manga author managed to make me feel something so I knew that there was a chance that this story of his which is his highest rated would be good, but I didn't expect how good it would be.

Characters: I really feel like somehow while the story has only 4 characters all four are really really strong. I was very attached to ... them and was always thinking about their future because the premice of immortal children always makes you ask questions and what we got from that were tears:((((

Art: art was very fitting, it was not the greatest thing you will find, but I doubt that you can find art which fits this manga better than what we got.

Story: at first glance it might seem like a default story about immortal people, but author takes this simple plot and doesn't add anything crazy to it, but mangaes to squeeze everything you need out of every chapter, leaving no cold feelings or thoughts like something maybe could be done better.

Enjoyment: it was an extremely easy read, I just sat and finished all of it in like an hour, I am an extremely slow reader so to me it is an achievement, but I believe that someone who is better at reading than me can do it in half an hour even though it is 2 volumes.

Overall: really solid, I will not start overdoing things and saying it is a masterpiece or something, of course it is not. It is just a great read which will be in your thoughts for some time, it is an emotional ride which gives you everything it can in only 16 or so chapters. You really grow attached to characters and their tragic fates and I can't really say what I didn't like about the story, it was not some extremely intense story with top tier characters or anything, but it was everything it wanted to be and it didn't miss anything and for that I really feel like this story deserves to be read at least once and I am really glad that I have read such a warm and tragic story such as, For Immortal Children In The Galaxy.

I feel bad for saying it, but I kinda enjoyed it. At some points it even felt like a decently written story, I mean that it is not just a shocking weird manga, eventhough it kinda is. To justify the awful dog scene I need to get in spoilers. Every woman in this manga is a bitch, the mc's girlfriend only used him, mc's brothers girlfriend had a husband so they kinda reflect that dog, which main character has done the deed with. Female dog also means a bitch so yeah. artstyle was just wonderful, and when main character said that he is just a ... retarded virgin younger brother I really felt that. so yeah decent I guess.....

When I started reading this manga, I couldn't get through first chapter, after I did I dropped it, but I felt like I had to read at least one more. Unfortunately I couldn't find English scans and the only online version I did find was very poorly translated, so reading the second chapter was so hard that I had to drop this manga. A time has passed and I thought about the characters because they felt kinda warm to me so when I was picking a new manga, I decided to finally give it one more chance.
This manga has a really interesting premise, as I ... have mentioned characters also feel real so that combined with great art and interesting twists, gives us a pretty solid manga.

Art (7/10)
I wouldn't say the art work is great, but it is good and it really fits the manga. I don't really have much to say, art is not something that really stands out but still it was good.

Story (8/10)
I found story really interesting, not only the main storyline but the romance one also, as it really reminded me of myself, not the main guy he gets all the girls:(. only thing that I hated was translation, I don't wanna sound mean, but usually the panels would be out of order, I would always get lost and don't get what was happening, and sometimes whole chapters were rearanged. (I don't mean official English scans)

Characters (9/10)
Characters by far are the greatest feat of this manga, they feel extremely real and reletable, one of the things that I really liked, well not really enjoyed, but I was happy that simillar thing that happened to me was in this manga. I as well as Ryu had a crush on two close friend girls, but both of them liked my weird short best friend, (it is a joke he is good looking but short af:)). The only thing that I don't really like about characters are the females.... as not right as it sounds, hear me out, they are not enjoyable, I don't really like how they act and it's not because of my personal feelings, you will get it after reading. Main guy is cool, Akira is great, Ryu was always my favorite, but the author doesn't really care about him and he is seemingly an outcast of the main group in manga so yeah, still great tho.

Enjoyment (8.5/10)
It was pretty easy to read, unfortunately as I've already mentioned, my translation sucked, so it was harder for me to understand the story, but still short and sweet chapters, filled with enjoyable characters made up for everything

Don't mind the math, it is just how I feel. There were some things I didn't like, but after reading I wanted more. I know I've talked too much about the characters, but I really liked them, the story was dark and sweet and I really enjoyed every bit of it, the ending was questionable, I wouldn't say bad, but there were some things I didn't like and maybe wanted something different, but it concludes the story well. In conclusion, I would really recommend this manga and I would like to read more from this author.

When I first read it's synopsis, I was extremely hyped, 7 student's trapped in a school, they commited crimes, now have to participate in a death game, their body parts are missing and one of them is a doll made out of those body parts. Like even thinking about it now, it sounds really great, but what did we get, it was not a death game.. challenes in this manga were, go find a key, go find a doll but it's okay if you don't find it, the mystery about one of them being a secret doll was forgotten up until the last chapter which ... was not bad, but still. I gotta say that characters had potential, like their backstories were interesting but it was definitely not a horror manga survival.

Chracters (6/10)
As I said characters were not bad, they had interesting backstories and all of them had personalities, except of course the main guy who was still enjoyable and..Kanda.. man.. I hate that dude I rarely like that kind of characters, there are some expections but most of the times they are annoying and they always get in the way, so yeah still decent.

Story (3/10)
If the story was what I thought it would be, I would score it muuuch higher, but it was not so yeah, pretty bad.

Art (8/10)
The art was good, the style itself was not special but mastery of an artist is visible and some panels are great.

Enjoyment (4/10)
At start when I had some expectations, I was reading it pretty qucik, but then after realising what the story actually is, my interest dissapeared.

Eventhough 4 is really not a good rating, I wouldn't say that this manga is bad, I guess I just anticipated something more, there were also some details that I didn't really get like the shape game, I think it was simple but I didn't really care about it, and also what did Yuuki do.. we don't get an answer

So if Kanda was a puppet why did Yuuki have the twin's arms, is it something I didn't catch?
