It's good. The okaasan (Saki) is smoking hot and the kid (Jun) isn't insufferable either. It's all too common for manga and anime of this type to have shotas that are either overly bold or just fucking stupid. Jun isn't like that, and his desire for unconditional love is something that most people can comprehend and appreciate. Besides Saki and Jun, the only other character with a relevant role in the story is Riko (Jun's childhood friend) and she's fine; Riko obviously likes Jun, but with Saki pandering the boy, she's relegated to being the pathetic side character that attempts to bring the MC back ... to her side but it's clear that will never work ("mommy issues" trumps rational).

The father dips pretty early on and doesn't have much of a role in the story as of Ch. 5; it's a little funny how that happens and leaves room for interesting interactions between Saki and Jun from Ch. 2 and onwards. Saki is the perfect motherly oneesan/okaasan archetype and is clearly still interested in Jun even after the time they were separated from each other. All in all, very good "oneeshota" content.
