"Haite Kudasai, Takamine-san" is one of the worst things I've ever watched in my life. While watching it, I kept asking myself, "What the hell am I watching - and why?"
The storyline is terrible and poorly written. There's no logic, no sense - just a delusional fantasy of some high school boy who dreams of becoming a playboy.
The characters are incredibly annoying. Shirota is your typical low-IQ schoolboy who only thinks about girls. He's foolish, easily manipulated, and incapable of saying "No" to anything.
Takamine? She's supposed to be a beautiful and intelligent class topper - but in reality, she's worse than the usual attention-seeking trope.
...
She's manipulative, egoistic, narcissistic, and has a superpower that belongs in the gutter.
Time travel by removing underwear? What the actual hell?!
And worse, she uses this ability for completely nonsensical reasons. The same ridiculous scenes are repeated over and over again - long, awkward, and just plain dumb.
That characterless girl blackmails the idiot boy into changing her underwear - yes, seriously. If a girl did this to a guy in real life, it would be called sexual harassment. There's nothing funny or comedic about it.
How does a boy even end up changing a girl's underwear during class?
And how can a guy be this mind-numbingly stupid?
As for the side characters? They don't even seem to exist. I watched two full episodes and didn't see a single face worth remembering. If you're going to say "They show up later" - I don't care. I'm not sitting through more of this mess.
I cannot bear 12 episodes of this garbage. I have no problem with mild nudity or sexual scenes in anime - if they're done properly. But this show can't even get that right.
Honestly, the manga creator seems like a low-IQ teenager who either doesn't get attention from anyone or was high while writing this.
This is not romantic comedy.
But if you're only looking for vulgar, erotic fanservice - then maybe, just maybe, you'll find something to enjoy here.
But if you're looking for a good storyline with well-developed characters, real romance, or even basic decency - then never, ever watch this show.

DORORO is a good underrated Anime that you should watch if you didn't. It contains 24 Episodes with nice pacing.
The plot is simple but unique. The storyline is good and most episodes have their own arcs.
What really stood out to me were the dark, gritty, greyish visuals-they give the show a unique and intense vibe.
The fight scenes and actions are well animated.
The first opening and ending songs are awesome while second ones are okay okay.
...
This show doesn't shy away from brutal, gory moments and heavy themes like war, survival, family, life, and philosophy, which add a lot of depth.
My favourite Episodes are 6, 9, 12, 18, 23 and 24.
The ending felt a little bit unsatisfying to me, but it was good.
One thing that felt odd was how Hyakkimaru, who's been deaf, mute, and blind since birth, can understand language.
The bond of Hyakkimaru and Dororo was very wholesome and feel good to watch. Overall, it's a good anime. GO FOR IT.

TAKOPI'S ORIGINAL SIN feels like a darker Doraemon with a touch of Re:Zero’s feeling. Its six-episode run suits its tight pacing.
This miniseries is solid but overhyped. Some call it most depressing, and Anime of the Year, but it doesn’t quite reach that level. It’s dark and traumatic, yet not as much as claimed.
However, the show’s logic is shaky— every parent is mentally ill, ineffective police, careless teachers and questionable plot points stretch believability. Yes I know that this show is about bullying, bad parenting and trauma. But it can presented logically also.
What the hell are people doing? Where are the teachers? Didn't they notice anything?
...
Why she can't complain to anyone? If the enemy is alone and attacking you, why not you defending yourself and counterattack? A girl is bitten by a dog, still she is fine. How? Is Marina is Lord Aizen? How does a kid girl manage and plan all this alone?
Viewers should overlook these flaws. If you plan to watch, don't expect High.

DEATH NOTE was my very first anime series, which I watched at age 17 in 2022. I instantly fell in love with this show—and with the anime world as a whole.
The plot is unique, and the storyline is engaging, intriguing, and brilliantly written. The characters are complex and highly intellectual, especially Light and L. Their rivalry remains one of the greatest in anime.
The animation quality is solid for its time, and the pacing is tight. After Episode 25, the series slows down a bit, but only to build toward its intense climax.
When I started watching, I was completely new to anime. Some characters looked similar
...
to me, the Japanese names were hard to remember, and reading English subtitles while following the story was challenging. On top of that, I was streaming it on Netflix using my mother’s phone, which consumed a lot of data and wasn’t very convenient. Yet despite all of this, the show had me hooked so strongly that I couldn’t stop watching. It took me about 15–20 days to finish all 37 episodes.
Light Yagami is easily one of my favorite anime characters. Intelligent, calm, and morally complex, his transformation is nothing short of mind-blowing—a true masterpiece of character writing.

Naruto (2002) is a classic anime with 220 episodes. It’s a good series and absolutely worth at least one full watch.
At first, I only planned to watch 5 episodes. Then I told myself I should finish the first arc atleast (up to episode 19). But after that point, I simply couldn’t stop. I skipped the fillers (90 filler episodes) and ended up completing the show in just 8 days.
The storyline is engaging, and the characters are diverse and memorable. The animation is solid for its time, and the pacing holds up well.
Once you finish this, don’t miss Naruto: Shippuden — it’s darker, more mature, and
...
overall even better.

"ATTACK ON TITAN: The Last Attack" is a final tribute to one of the greatest works of fiction of all time. It's a powerful conclusion, combining the last two special episodes — and it's absolutely excellent.
The animation has reached new heights — beautiful, fluid, and captivating. The sound effects and music are astonishing and deeply moving. Nearly every track in Attack on Titan is pure gold.
Characters like Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, Historia Reiss, Reiner Braun, Zeke, Grisha Yeager, Connie Springer, Sasha Braus, Jean Kirstein, Captain Levi, Hange, Commander Erwin — nearly every character is well-written and perfect in their own way.
Some fans dislike
...
Gabi and Annie, but I don’t. They perfect in their role and situation.
And while I’m firmly against genocide and don’t support Eren’s actions — in fact, I hate him for it — he still remains my No. 1 favorite anime character, tied with Itachi Uchiha. Complex, tragic, and unforgettable.
If I ever got the chance, I would hug every character and talk to them for hours.
The action scenes are breathtaking. The visuals and landscapes are exotic, gorgeous — pure wallpaper material!
The ending of Attack on Titan is perfect. Personally, I liked it more than Code Geass’ ending.
In Code Geass, people got their typical fictional happy ending — peace and smiles.
But AOT? It dares to go darker. Even after a genocide, humanity continues to fight. Conflict may pause, but it’s impossible to erase forever. That realism hits hard.
In just 89 episodes, Attack on Titan reached a level of storytelling and impact that most anime fail to achieve even after hundreds of episodes.
This isn’t just a show to me. It’s my love, my heart, and my mind. It’s part of my memories. The series, the movie, every episode — all are amazing and unforgettable.
The storyline, the plot twists, the peak moments, the philosophies, the character development, the pacing, the beginning, the conclusion — everything is perfect.
Peak fiction.
Those 2 hours and 24 minutes felt like just 24 minutes to me.
The end-credits scene was wholesome and heartwarming at the same time.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this piece of cinema.
This is ABSOLUTE CINEMA.
Thank you, Wit Studio.
Thank you, MAPPA Studio.
Thank you, Hajime Isayama — for this MASTERPIECE.

TOKYO GHOUL Season 1 is an exceptional dark fantasy anime that captivates across its 12 episodes.
The animation is impressive, complemented by outstanding sound effects and a gripping storyline that keeps you hooked.
Characters like Touka Kirishima, Kōtarō Amon, Nishiki Nishio, and Yoshimura are compelling, while Ken Kaneki’s character development is brilliantly crafted and deeply engaging.
The opening song (Unravel) is an absolute masterpiece, and the ending song is also fine, enhancing the show’s emotional weight.
The season finale (Episode 12) is a standout, delivering an intense and satisfying climax. The fight between Kaneki and Jason is packed with rage, action, and raw emotion, elevated to another
...
level by the iconic “Unravel” song.
Overall, Tokyo Ghoul Season 1 is a must-watch for fans of dark, action-packed anime with bloodshed and depth. It’s a thrilling ride that leaves a lasting impression.

MY NEIGHBOUR TOTORO (1988), directed by Hayao Miyazaki, is a beautiful, cute, and utterly lovable film. With a concise runtime of 1 hour and 26 minutes, its pacing feels just right, making every moment engaging.
Unlike some of Miyazaki’s more complex works, the storyline is simple and easy to follow, yet it remains captivating without the need for an antagonist.
The direction and animation are stunning, showcasing Miyazaki’s signature artistry, and the soundtrack perfectly complements the film’s whimsical tone.
For nearly the most part, I couldn’t stop smiling. The sisterly bond between Satsuki and Mei is heartwarming and authentic, with their laughter, shouts, and tears feeling genuinely
...
endearing. As an elder brother, watching them brought back fond memories of my childhood with my younger sister.
In the final 20 minutes, the tone shifts to a more serious note, but the conclusion delivers a satisfying and uplifting resolution.
Overall, My Neighbor Totoro is a must-watch for audiences of all ages. This heartwarming, charming, and relaxing film is perfect for enjoying with family, leaving you with a warm glow and a smile.

HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE (2004) , adapted from Diana Wynne Jones’ novel of the same name, isn’t a masterpiece but remains an intriguing and enjoyable film.
Directed by Hayao Miyazaki, a visionary in animation, the movie dazzles with its breathtakingly beautiful visuals and impressive sound effects.
The storyline can be somewhat confusing, though I was prepared for this. Personally, I found it less disorienting than Spirited Away, perhaps because I watched that film years ago.
The characters are so good and lovable. The beautiful love story of Sophie and Howlnis also heart warming.
Little Spoilers -
...
However, several questions remain unanswered:
Why did the Witch of the Waste curse Sophie? Why did Suliman wait so long to strip the Witch of her powers? How did the Witch transform into a positive character? Where was Sophie’s mother, and how did she recognize Sophie? If a human can’t break the curse, how did Sophie revert to her younger self, and why did her hair remain silver-white? Additionally, Sophie’s intermittent transformations between young and old seem tied to her emotions, but if she’s human, shouldn’t the curse prevent her from breaking it?
Despite these plot holes and ambiguities, "Howl’s Moving Castle" is still a delightful experience, thanks to its exotic and captivating animation. It’s definitely worth a watch for anime fans, even if just once.

"Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso" is a beautifully crafted anime that masterfully blends comedy, school romance, drama, complex love dynamics, and musical themes into a captivating story.
You don't need to be an expert in piano or violin to enjoy this show. Despite my limited knowledge of these instruments, I found the series accessible and deeply engaging, proving that musical expertise isn't a prerequisite for appreciating its depth.
The characters are incredibly wholesome and well-developed. The core group of friends - Kaori Miyazono, Kosei Arima, Tsubaki Sawabe, and Ryota Watari-brings warmth and authenticity to the story through their heartfelt relationships and friendships. I was pleasantly surprised by
...
the significant roles played by Arima's competitors, Emi Igawa and Takeshi Aiza, whose contributions added unexpected depth. The backstories are brilliantly written, with Tsubaki Sawabe standing out as my personal favorite.
The show strikes a perfect balance between emotional weight and lighthearted moments. While it's known for its tear-jerking scenes, the comedic moments, evident from the very first episode, caught me off guard in the best way.
The opening and ending songs are breathtaking, with the first opening and final ending being my absolute favorites. Their melodies perfectly complement the show's emotional tone.
Though I had heard Your Lie in April was profoundly emotional, it didn't hit me as hard as I expected, likely because my expectations were sky-high. Even so, the final episode brought few tears to my eyes. The last three episodes-20, 21, and 22-are particularly stunning and heartwarming. The revelation of the "lie" in the title during the finale was a heartbreaking yet beautiful moment that left a lasting impact.
Overall, Your Lie in April is a must-watch, especially in April. Watching it in April 2025 made my month truly unforgettable.
