I was intrigued right from the beginning—seeing Ganesha in the opening instantly pulled me in. The Hindi text sprinkled across the walls caught my eye too. Visually, this film is insane. The world-building is incredible, and the way it blends 3D with 2D animation is done beautifully. The camera movement is especially impressive—they absolutely nailed it.

The characters take their time to grow and develop, which really works in the film’s favor. You can feel a slow, creeping sense of dread building up as it goes on. The atmosphere throughout is unreal. I loved it from start to finish. No cringe moments at all, and the ... dialogue is solid.

“This town’s got a certain je ne sais quoi.” — perfect line, honestly.

White and Black were fascinating characters, and their bond was one of my favorite parts of the film. The animation overall is stunning and elevates everything even further.

Right from the start, the series shows off some of the cleanest and most expressive animation in recent years. Movements are smooth, comedic moments hit perfectly, and emotional scenes feel even stronger thanks to how well everything is drawn and animated. Kyoto Animation’s touch is obvious in every frame, with a level of polish that makes each episode fun to watch and easy to appreciate.
