From the start and ending it's visually stunning, MAPPA did a great job in animating this arc. It really a big jump from the previous Chainsaw man adaptaion in terms of animation. While I still enjoyed the movie, I couldn’t help but notice a change. It feels very different compared to the previous title. The movie trades the darker and eerie atmosphere for a bright colors, faster pacing, and a more typical anime look. It’s not bad at all, just different that is more mainstream and flashy.
I personally liked the darker tone of Season 1 more because it gave the series a unique identity. The
...
gloomy lighting, slower pacing, and subtle character movements made everything feel grounded and unsettling, which perfectly matched Chainsaw Man’s twisted world. The movie, while beautiful and energetic, loses a bit of that mysterious charm. It feels more like a high-budget action anime than the haunting, cinematic experience that made the first season stand out. Still, it’s an amazing adaptation in its own way and can't wait for what will come next.

Pretty good season overall. The plot progression and storyline felt a bit weak and rushed at some points, almost random even. I loved the lofi-type scenes though, they made this anime so much more enjoyable. Those quiet, atmospheric moments really balanced out the gore and chaos, creating a nice contrast between peace and brutality. You get a bit of both worlds, which I really appreciated.
That said, I feel like some plot points weren’t explained enough. For example, the Tokyo ambush scene felt so random. We never really got to see the other side’s perspective their thought process, planning, or even their motivation for revenge. It
...
just happened out of nowhere, and the focus stayed mostly on Division 4’s POV. A little more context or emotional depth for the antagonists would’ve made the whole arc more impactful.
Another issue for me is how Denji’s plot armor kind of kills the tension. The fights start to feel repetitive, Denji gets beaten down, regenerates, then wins because he’s basically immortal. Also, some of the CGI felt unnecessary or off. Like that scene when Denji was on Himeno’s bed it feels oddly unnecessary. The fight choreography was top-tier it was fluid, dynamic, and visually stunning. The camera angles made every battle feel alive and intense, so even with the uneven storytelling, the action easily carried the show.
None of the side characters really got much depth either, no proper backstories or emotional build-up. It sometimes felt like the show was trying to cram too much into 12 episodes. Still, the aesthetics and music choice were spot on. MAPPA did a fantastic job bringing Chainsaw Man to life with its gritty tone and haunting atmosphere.
I could do without the excessive ecchi scenes though. I understand they’re part of Denji’s personality, but they honestly felt unnecessary and awkward, especially when trying to recommend the anime to others. It kind of takes away from the emotional and psychological impact of the story.
Overall, Chainsaw Man anime adaptation was still a great to watch the stylish, violent, emotional in moments, and visually stunning. MAPPA did an amazing job for a first season, and I’m really looking forward to Season 2 being more balanced and faithful to the manga.

Actually is a waste of time, but the animation and art is really good i can't skipped because of that. The visuals were clean and vibrant, and the fight scenes, even with CGI, looked surprisingly solid. Unlike other anime these days that rely too heavily on CGI, this one used it in a way that felt smoother and more natural. It gave the action a unique flair that stood out. But i don't like the repeating parts like in the last scene is so many of it if you notice that.
However, some parts felt repetitive, especially near the end. The last scene had so many
...
repeated frames and moments that it started to drag, which kind of killed the emotion it was building up to. The pacing overall was uneven, some moments rushed and others stretched too long. Making it a bit hard to stay emotionally invested in the story.
On the positive side, the sound design was great. The music and effects were neat and powerful, and there were times when it genuinely gave me goosebumps. The soundtrack did a lot of heavy lifting, making even the slower scenes feel more dramatic and intense.
It's definitely, not my type story. It had potential but lacked a clear emotional pull or deeper connection to the characters. Still, it’s not a bad effort the world-building and visuals show that a lot of care went into the production.
Overall, Even if Ta ga Tame no Alchemist isn’t the most engaging or memorable anime, but it’s visually beautiful and worth checking out for the animation alone. But still great work to the creators and hope of improvements in the future.

Is kinda wierd and unique anime. It is different from any other anime I have watched, but very deep and symbolic. Almost everything has a deeper meaning, and has some meaning. It may be confusing for some, and that is reasonable. However, watching it a second time might make this series less confusing, as some of the questions this anime brings up are answered, just not directly. Once you re-watch this series, you will probably notice some things you didn't before. The animation and art is amazing, especially for being from the late 90s. The characters are well-developed, and have substance. It might be a
...
masterpiece if this anime has more plot twist and add more storylines. I hope that there was a season 2 or a remastered animation of this... Is totally a Weird and Creepy one.
