This title offers very little of interest to any Code Geass fan. I'm a Code Geass fanatic myself and trust me, you can skip this one. There are no mechas and there is no Lelouch. CC appears here but she barely plays a role in the story. What does this story offer though?
PLOT 5/10:
The plot revolves around the conflict between main characters Renya and Dash. However anything interesting these two can offer is going to be dragged out by pointless battles against shallow villains. COMEDY 7/10
The author manages to create a unique and quirky world filled with fun characters. Most of the story happens in Penguin Village, starring a cast of people each with its own set of antics. Most notably is the protagonist Arale who shares a lot of traits with kid Goku from Dragon Ball. She is just an innocent robot child that defies expectations with her inhuman capabilities. Surround her with the eccectric people from Penguin Village and you have the formula for the comedy in this manga. The comedy is very childish but creative. STORY & CHARACTERS 8/10
This is a simple yet lovely story about three main characters and the troubled dynamic between them in what is esentially a love triangle. Although the story is focused on two characters only early on, with the third character being introduced later. To describe HSG as just a love triangle story would be understatement, however. The story takes its time to develop each of our three characters individually as well as each of the dynamics between two of them, making our love triangle a web of feelings of love, rivarly and friendship.
