HOLY FUCK that 2 day sickness that postponed me wanting to see this movie paid off dude... this PEAKS!!
This whole arc is the number one thing I wanted to see when the Chainsaw Man anime got announced and I have extremely high expectations on it but this movie blew away my expectations entirely on this one (just like Reze... woah!!).
EVERY SINGLE FRAME is so beautifully crafted to build up the greatness that is Mappa's animation in this movie!! The action scenes go absolutely crazy in typical Mappa animation fashion, with Denji riding Beam into their battle against Reze and Typhoon is pure badassery! Some of ... the shots even feels like the manga came to life!! The visuals are genuinely amazing and coming from an artist myself, I am genuinely amazed by the amount of colors that are in this. I could absolutely argue that this movie has the best lighting of any anime I've seen!
I would say the action is the highlight of the movie if it weren't for Denji's relationship with Reze. The pool scene was especially well composed and sequenced, delivering something genuinely beautiful! I like how it focuses on a moth trapped in a spider's web and having the spider eat the moth throughout this sequence. I may be looking WAY too deep into this but I like to think that the spider represents Reze and the moth being Denji, as he cluelessly falls into Reze's trap or web for which is what she really wanted him to do.
Speaking of music that I breifly mentioned, It was so fuckin' beautiful man (I hope you're taking a shot every time I say it). The part where Denji is at the featival with Reze almost put me into tears.
Genuinely BEAUTIFUL movie all around! Those Mappa animators definitely need a raise and see their families again! (thought I do doubt that cuz JJK season 3 is on the way lol)

Pretty awesome short film!
Huge props to the dude's short film to get approved by Toho. The overall concept of Gigan Rex is very freakin cool! I really hope Toho does more cool ass shit with Gigan.
Although the animation gets pretty janky at times, it's alright for what it is. Also it's awesome to hear Megumi Odaka return on a Godzilla project after 2 decades. If I were to ever make a Godzilla movie, I would 100% get her in the movie (that is if she's still alive on the time I start making movies).

Man that show is a wild ride

I've seen a lot of people say that this is revolutionary or peak but I just think this show is overhyped. I don't hate it or anything. I still think there are some good moments.

Okarun and Momo have a great chemistry.... that is in the first 6 episodes
The main thing that holds this show back from being great is the whole love triangle schtick. In the part where Momo catches Okarun and Aira is where the show kinda goes downhill for me because why would the author put romance drama in a story about high schoolers meeting Aliens ... and Ghosts?? I guess the only justifiable reason is that they're high schoolers I guess...

Episode 7 has no reason to be that sad and its too bad that the series will never do something like that again

Also as a Godzilla and Ultraman fan, its awesome seeing that the author is heavily inspired by that. For example, the aliens resembling a LOT like Ultraman aliens, the OP taking inspiration by the original Ultraman opening, and of course Nessie looking too much like Shin Godzilla!

The thing that carries the show is of course the animation and episode 4 is the best episode based on it!

Overall, this show is somewhat worth watching if you like weird shit but I can clarify that it is definitely not for everyone
I'll for sure pick up the manga!

Been a BEASTARS fan since 2020. This series alone has gotten me into anime (I know its crazy)
And I've been so HYPED when season 3 was announced!
Intro is an ABSOLUTE BANGER!!!! The first half of the intro gives off sitcom vibes.
In MY OPINION, season 3 handled everything wayy better than the manga did
The examples I can think of is the part where Gohin taking care of the Tibetan fox (forgor her name) is more necessary to the story cuz it teaches Legoshi something. Also Deshiko plays a more prominent role this time rather than just only appearing in ... one chapter.

Also I had the biggest smile on my face when Gosha showed up. The anime made me love him more! He's such a loving grandfather to Legoshi
And that's about everything I can think of I'm not really all that much of a critic. I just want to show my love and appreciation to one of my favorite manga series ever.
So is it worth the wait? YES it is
I think every BEASTARS fan can have a great time with this
REALLY looking forward to the rest of this!
