Frieren is a masterclass when it comes to worldbuilding, story-telling, and highlighting the importance of time. Each flashback shown adds another human layer to the characters and provide insight into how a character thinks. Every adventure feels fresh, exciting, and while the pacing does slow down a lot at times, the payoff is usually worth it. The characters involved continue to grow and expand upon themselves, therefore they never truly grow stale.

While the action scenes are often brief and flashy, they still maintain a certain degree of stakes and urgency.

The first thing that drew me into this anime was that the art style was really clean. Everything from the character designs and their surroundings was visually pleasing. The soundtrack they used really hits the ears in a satisfying way and really had a way of capturing whatever was happening on screen. The plot is definitely interesting and had an unique twist on superpowers that I haven't seen used. Like who would expect someone in a dog costume to save the day?
