As time passes, nothing stays the same. Familiar places become unfamiliar, and even people you have known for many years will change along with the passage of time. Violet Evergarden Movie masterfully explores this theme by following the life of its protagonist, Violet Evergarden.
Story: The story is divided into three parts. The first part is about a girl, Daisy, trying to learn about Violet Evergarden. The second part is about a young boy, Yuris, asking Violet Evergarden to write letters for his family. The third part involves Violet Evergarden meeting Gilbert for the first time in years after their untimely departure. At first glance,
...
these parts seem unrelated. However, Violet Evergarden Movie seamlessly connects them to tell a story that is amazing beyond words can describe. It is the best storytelling I have ever seen.
Art: After watching Violet Evergarden TV series and Violet Evergarden Gaiden, I was not sure how anything could surpass them in terms of the art quality and design. However, Violet Evergarden Movie exceeded my already unimaginably high expectation. Whether it is outdoors or indoors, every scene is breathtaking and a joy to watch. Violet Evergarden Movie sets the new standard for art design, and I do not think anything will be able to come close to it in quite some time.
Sound: Violet Evergarden Movie’s sound design is nothing short of perfect. Evan Call did a phenomenal job again, and TRUE’s insert songs were amazing as always. Also, background music perfectly set the mood, and every sound effect was perfectly done. Simply put, it is the best sound design I have ever experienced.
Character and Voice Acting: Characters are masterfully depicted and multifaceted. Violet Evergarden’s emotional moments brought many tears to my eyes, and Gilbert’s cold words made my heart stop for a bit. Voice acting was also stellar. Every voice actor did a phenomenal job, but Ishikawa Yui’s performance stood above everyone else. Her performance will be remembered as one of the greatest female performances of all time.
Overall Enjoyment: I have watched the movie multiple times at the theater, and every time I am surprised at how good it is. I will probably watch it more at the theater and even more when the blu-ray is released.
Conclusion: Violet Evergarden Movie is a peerless masterpiece that provides the perfect conclusion to the masterful Violet Evergarden series. It is a must-watch for everyone, and it is without a doubt the best anime movie I have ever watched.

When I first watched Made in Abyss TV series, I was truly mesmerized by its storytelling and worldbuilding. It was a step above of any fantasy genre anime I have ever watched. Therefore, I was excited to watch Made in Abyss Fukaki Tamashii no Reimei in the theater. After I watched the movie, I can say for sure that it is a masterpiece.
Story: The story deals with the Ido Front Arc, which focuses on Bondrewd and his daughter Prushka. It is quite a gruesome story, even more so than that of the TV series. The atmosphere is generally quite heavy, although there are some
...
lighthearted moments here and there. Overall, it is a masterful story that further elaborates on the world of Made in Abyss.
Art: The art design is stunning. Every part of the scenery is meticulously designed to make the audience feel as if they were participating in the adventure themselves. Also, I appreciate the fact that the art design team does not shy away from depicting gore and violence in full detail. It helps me understand the cruelty of the Abyss and the twisted nature of Bondrewd. Also, the action sequence is done so well that it gave me a shiver when I was watching it.
Sound: Made in Abyss Fukaki Tamashii no Reimei has one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard. The soundtrack perfectly matches the atmosphere of the movie and makes every scene as beautiful as it can be. Sound effects are also spot on, which enhances the mood further. Overall, the sound design is flawless.
Character: Characters are well-developed, especially Bondrewd and Prushka. I was amazed by how well Bondrewd is developed, probably one of the best character designs I have seen in years. Prushka is also masterfully depicted, which augments the already amazing story even further.
Overall Enjoyment: I have enjoyed the movie greatly and will re-watch it several times when the Blu-ray is released.
In conclusion, Made in Abyss Fukaki Tamashii no Reimei is a masterpiece and one of the best anime movies I have ever watched. Its story and worldbuilding will satisfy anyone interested in taking a leap of faith into the cruel yet beautiful world of Made in Abyss.

Over the years of watching anime, none has touched me more deeply than Violet Evergarden TV series. For me, it was everything that a TV series could offer. Therefore, I was excited to hear that Violet Evergarden Gaiden will be coming to theaters in September. After I watched it on the release date in Tokyo, I can safely say that it is a masterpiece in every aspect.
Story: The story is divided into two chapters. In the first chapter, Violet Evergarden goes to the private girls’ school and works as a private tutor for a girl named Isabella York. In the second chapter, the younger sister
...
of Isabella named Taylor Bartlett comes to CH Postal Company and starts working as an apprentice mail deliverer. These two chapters are masterfully intertwined into one coherent story. As you watch, you will laugh; you will cry; you will be moved beyond words could express. See it for yourself. It is as perfect as a story can be.
Art: Violet Evergarden Gaiden is even better than the TV series in terms of quality and design. Whether it is an interior scene or an outdoor scene, the art design is impeccable. With vibrant colors and meticulously drawn scenery, every scene in the movie is breathtaking and a joy to watch. Simply put, KyoAni has delivered again.
Sound: Violet Evergarden Gaiden’s sound design is some of the best I have ever experienced. It sets the mood perfectly and makes the scenes more beautiful and vibrant. Kudos to the sound director Youta Tsuruoka and the composer Evan Call.
Character: Characters are well-developed and multifaceted. It is a masterful character design in every aspect.
Overall Enjoyment: It is very enjoyable and has a lot of re-watch value. I would re-watch it multiple times when the Blu-ray is released.
In conclusion, Violet Evergarden Gaiden is a masterpiece that is built upon a solid foundation. It complements the TV series and offers a fantastic experience. It is one of the best, if not the best anime movies I have ever watched.
