Both animes are similar in that the main girl protagonist falls in love with a boy through her love of his works. In Bungaku Shoujo Touko enjoys the depths and feelings of Konoha's writings, while in Otome Nadeshiko Koi Techou Chizuru falls in love with Sougetsu's drawings. She can see past his gloomy drawings and understands the true beauty of his paintings. In addition, the atmosphere in both are very similar with how they're both calm and relaxing with moments of excitement and beauty when it comes to describing each guy's works.
