Gakuen Babysitters....
It feels good man, it feels good.
It is cute, and brings peace to my troubled soul.
The story is a simple one. A boy, Ryuichi, and his little brother, Kotaro, are orphaned and taken in by the older chairwoman of a school on the condition that Ryuichi helps take care of the school's daycare. Ryuichi and Kotaro make new friends and have good times. It's not complex by any means but it doesn't need to be, it's a Slice of Life anime. If you want something more complex, you're better off going somewhere else. If you come to watch this show, you come for the
...
good feelings.
As for the art, it's good for the show's purpose. It uses a lot of pastels and softer colors which is good considering it's just a heartwarming story about a teen trying to take of his baby brother and interacting with his classmates and small children. The art style also makes the kids he looks after EXTREMELY CUTE and I want to hug every single one of them. There aren't any amazing feats of animation by any means but to be honest, it doesn't really need it as I don't think it would really add much to the show's storytelling capabilities.
The sound in the anime is okay. The background music didn't really stand out to me much but I enjoyed the songs that went with the opening and ending. They were very cute and fit very well with the tone of the show.
I liked most of the characters. None of them were particularly offensive. I liked that the female teachers were still working in spite of having kids. It seems common in Japanese culture for a woman to become a housewife as soon as she was married so seeing otherwise was refreshing. I liked Ryuichi and Kotaro's relationship. It was very sweet and genuine but I'm also glad that the show didn't shy away from the fact that Ryuichi sort of "lost" the complete freedom of adolescence because he has to take care of his brother all the time. Kamitani is also a total bro and great bromantic foil for Ryuichi.
I really, really enjoyed this show. I feel like it's one of the few shows that I would buy on DVD just so I can watch it and feel good anytime. It was funny and it gave me diabetes....In a good way.
Overall, I say to anyone reading this: Watch it. Good times will ensue

Let me just say this: Net-juu no Susume left me WEAK. I clutching my chest as I watched it just because of how much I want Morioka and Sakurai to get together. And I was EXTREMELY happy with the ending.
Story
This is what I really like about Net-juu and this is where I feel its place in the Josei genre really works for it. The main couple gets together, and the series doesn't waste time with five episode long "misunderstandings" that only work to give the show a few more episodes. Want to know why this anime is only 10 episodes? BECAUSE YOU DON'T NEED 10
...
EPISODES OF BS MISUNDERSTANDINGS TO MAKE A GOOD LOVE STORY! I'm looking at you Kimi ni Todoke!
The plot moves at a reasonable place and isn't stalled by anything that would ruin the viewer's enjoyment. It's not complex or hard to understand but it is highly enjoyable. It's also not too serious, which I like, a lot. It has its conflicts and its moments where the characters have their pensive looks but knows when to break the tension or just let it out so that everything's out in the open.
Art
I like the art of the show. The designs of the characters in Fruits de Mer are nice and colorful. The colors for the show in general are vibrant but not too bright, which is good. I like the character design for Morioka in particular as it changes as she changes. We can still clearly tell that it's her but as her relationships in real life get better, her appearance gets better to match it, which is good.
I also like that halfway through the episode they put pictures to mark the commercial break that's supposed to be there. The art for them is really pretty and honestly, many of them I want to keep as backgrounds. They're very well drawn
Sound
I fricken love the OP and the ED. The OP in particular I find to be very unique due to the first 20 seconds or so of it. I'd listen to it all day. The OSTs aren't bad either and are rather good for setting the mood of each scene.
Character
As for characters.....I never found a 30 year old woman so cute. Move over moe high school girls: I want Morimori-chan.
I just love how she develops as a character and it's nice that her personality doesn't just boil down to "NEET". She is such a sweet woman and I want the best for her.
I also want her and Sakurai to Kiss, get married, make sweet, sweet love, and live a happy domestic life forever.
I like Sakurai. He treats Morioka-San so well, such a gentleman. He's also not stupid. He figured out who Morioka was a lot quicker than most romantic leads would and he also made a move a lot sooner than they would've too. Gold Star right there.
I also find him cute. There's just something about a grown man getting a crush and being a blushing mess that makes me completely melt.
Koiwai is a total bro. He's the best wingman ever! He knew Sakurai had caught feelings before Sakurai even fully realized it. He's also really funny and I would love to have a friend like him in real life.
As for everyone else, I like them too but those were the 3 that stood out the most.
Enjoyment
It is very rare that a show makes me ship characters so hard my chest hurts. This is one of them and I love it. I also finished it within 3 days which may not seem like much to others but I have a tendency to take forever to finish stuff. I also laughed a lot while watching. High-quality Comedy gives a show a thumbs up in my book.
Overall
Watch it. This is one of the few anime that focus on a realistic adult romance. It is also one of the few anime that focus on both the real world and a fantasy world. I'd hate to see this anime be forgotten.

So, Arakawa Under the Bridge....X BRIDGE!
I'll be honest here, though I started watching this a long time after it aired, I'm surprised it got a second season. Shows like this, despite being rather entertaining usually don't get more than one season yet here we are. I was rather fond of the first season and I started this one soon after.
Story:
Listen, I know this supposed to be a gag series but please, please, do not dangle what could be very interesting plot threads in front of my face and NOT resolve it! I had so many questions left over from the first season. Why were these
...
people under the bridge? Who are they really? What is up with
mayor? Are the characters' "quirks and delusions" real or are they really just crazy?
None of these questions got answered in this season and they never will, unless I read the manga.
That's right, the way the show ends essentially tells the viewer to read the manga for answers.
However, in comments of where I was watching the show, a person, thankfully for once, spoiled the ending to the manga and OH MY GOD. SUCH AN INTERESTING PLOT, THAT WOULD HAVE GIVEN A SATISFACTORY ENDING TO THIS SERIES WAS REPLACED BY EPISODIC COMEDY IN THE FINAL SEASON.
I don't hate comedy, and this show is genuinely funny, but...I wanted by questions to answered.
Other than that, the episodic plots were good I guess. They were funny.
Art:
The art's okay. It's not 100% perfect all the time but then again, I don't think that would really fit for a series like this. I liked the bright and vibrant colors and the character designs were memorable. I liked how at the end of each episode, there'd be nice fan art. There were also moments when the art became really pretty at just the right moment.
Sound:
As for the music, I wasn't that into the opening song but I have to admit that it's very fitting for the series. I liked the ending song better, Background music was okay but the music that plays whenever Nino and Ric/Ko have a sweet moment together is what I like best.
Characters:
The characters all serve their purpose to get the most laughs out of the audience. While I can't say there was an incredible amount of character development or that everyone's characterization is deeper than the sea, all of them are pretty likeable.
Enjoyment:
The comedy is 10/10 no problem. This show got a lot of laughs out of me, however, as I said earlier in the Story section, they didn't use what would have been a very interesting plot. This lessened my enjoyment throughout the final four episodes as I realized that I wouldn't get the resolution I desired.
Conclusion: Watch it for the laughs, but if you're hoping for plot and character development, either look somewhere else or read the manga

Okay, Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou, let me just say, this was one of the few anime that I've completed within 2-3 days. It may not make my favorites but I did like it very much.
Let's start with the story. As this is a slice of life the story could be summed up as the daily lives of those who live in Kawai Complex. The stories usually only encompass one episode but are highly entertaining and funny.
As for the art.....Jesus Christ it's beautiful. This anime is a feast for the eyes. Some of the outfits that the characters wear are just gorgeous. At certain moments, what
...
it does with lighting and coloring is just so pretty! It also has its characters go into chibi forms to better help with comedic moments.
The Sound is....kinda good but not really impressive. For this aspect I primarily look at the openings and endings but it wasn't anything mind blowing. The song for the opening I kinda liked but how the visuals were set up didn't really impress me. The ending encapsulates the lives of the characters pretty well so that gives it more points in my book. All in all I preferred the ending theme to the opening one. As for background music, nothing really caught my attention.
The characters in this show were quirky and very funny. Many jokes were repeated but don't I feel annoyed about it. I found the characters quite likeable and though they didn't contain the depths of the ocean within them, they had enough personality not to be boring after awhile.
As I said earlier, I enjoyed this series a lot and would watch it again.

Okay, Kekkai Sensen. Let me just say that if you like your superpowered urban fantasy or Baccano and/or Durarara, you may like this series.
Story:7
The story revolves our main character, Leonard Watch who moves to Hellsalem's Lot a monster filled New York, in an effort to find out about the mysterious power he has been given. While this, at the start, is his main goal, I don't believe he finds out by the end of the season which makes sense as the anime is only a partial adaptation of a longer manga series. However, there is a larger, plot that goes on in the background of
...
each episode that doesn't receive complete focus until closer to the end. Otherwise it's a bit episodic in nature, but believe the short, episodic stories are quite interesting. One episode had me sad about a mushroom. Warning however, at times it can be a bit confusing.
Art:7
The art is pretty good in this show. It's not Your Lie In April beautiful ,but it doesn't need to be. It uses just the right style for both comedic and dramatic moments and the character design is fitting. The visuals for the opening and ending are nice as well.
Sound:10
Jesus Christ the music is great in this anime! They have some really good background music with a lot of variety that really helps with the scenes. As for the Opening and Ending themes..... THEY FIT THE SHOW SO PERFECTLY! The opening feels like it could be the main character singing about himself while the ending perfectly encapsulates the more lighthearted, comedic side of the series. Also, my God is the ending theme catchy.
Characters:7
I personally liked the characters. However, to my dismay there wasn't enough time in its run to give more characterization to all of the members of Libra. I'll admit, fleshing them all out wasn't really important to the most important plot and the characters that did receive focus proved to be rather interesting.
Enjoyment:9
I finished this series in a day. This is rare for me, even for shows that have less than twelve episodes. This was suggested to me by my sister and it proved to be rather good. I'm glad I took the time to watch it and I think others will enjoy it too.
Overall: Tally up the scores and you get a..... 8!

Okay, Show By Rock!!....What do I say about this anime....
I have to say, it's a bit of a disappointment. I picked up this show because one day out of the blue I had an extreme craving for an idol anime and lo and behold I found this. It also has people with animal traits so at the time, it was a bonus.
Let's start with the story. Girl who loves music ,but is too shy to join the school band gets sucked into another world which allows her for the chance to get into a band. Being sucked into another world has been done plenty of
...
times, but I wouldn't really call it cliche. It's like a writing prompt. Just by that description it might not be unique ,but it has a LOT of possibilities. However, the story is very predictable. A few episodes in you'd probably already know how it ends and it doesn't really have any twists and turns that would at least make the journey more entertaining. It also tries to be two things at once. It's an idol anime but it attempts to use the "big bad trying to take over the city plot." I'm not saying that those two aspects would never work together ,but I don't feel this anime did it well. The "Big bad trying to take over the city plot" usually requires a lot more action scenes and characters either learning or fighting in some way. There is only three scenes where "fighting" initiated and only one of them can I actually call a battle. I feel like this series should have just been an idol anime and left out the villain taking over the city part. It probably would have left more room for other, more important stuff, such as the characters. Drama came way too soon as when it starting showing up and threatened to break relationships, I did not care as It didn't really show strong bonds beforehand. Also, the ending. I say NO to unexplained Deux Ex Machina.
Let me tell you this: IT IS NOT GOOD IF IM MORE INTERESTED IN SIDE CHARACTERS THAN THE MAIN ONES. Honestly, the girls bored me. Honestly, EVERY OTHER BAND WAS MORE INTERESTING THAN THEM. I'd honestly enjoy a spin off staring Shingancrimsonz more than I enjoyed watching Plasmagica. The worse part is that none of the other bands really got much screen time besides Shingancrimsonz. The Plasmagica members barely have any personality traits.
Cyan's the naive newcomer who is very shy but a very good musician and singer. She ends up the main target of the villain even though the villain explicitly states that there are others he is after, he barely pays attention to the other two more interesting characters he mentions. Anyway she ends up making the band better but outside of that we don't really know much about her personality. Chuchu's only real standing trait is that she want to be the top star and used to be willing to manipulate others to get there. Retoree is a tsundere who had few friends, that's it. Moa has absolutely no personality traits. Look her up on Tvtropes, I'm a 100% right. The group doesn't even provide any good comedy.
Everyone else seemed like they could possibly be interesting characters, but their only reason for not being so is that they weren't the focus of the anime.
Now for the Art. I personally don't mind the two different art styles ,but I understand that the shift CAN be a bit jarring. I also liked the vibrant colors. However, when it comes to the animal aspects of the characters I wish it was more obvious what animal some of the characters were in both of their forms. There was a frog drummer that looked nothing like a frog. Also maple's assistant had rounded ears so she looked nothing like a wolf. When I first saw Shingancrimsonz I couldn't tell what animals most of them were until I looked it up.
As for Sound, it was pretty okay, but the songs most of the girl bands sung made me wonder if all female pop idols in Japan sang about the same exact kind of thing.
Finally Enjoyment. I'll say this, I didn't hate it, but it lost me at a lot of parts.
Overall, it's far from a masterpiece. If you were expecting one, go away

Okay, let me tell you this right now. Technically speaking, this anime IS a romantic comedy, but if you were looking for an anime that focused more heavily on the romance aspect then you might want look other places.
How the show begins with its first scenes is rather typical of a romance series however, Sakura is attempting to confess to Nozaki-kun, however, what follows is nothing less than amusing. The story primarily follows Nozaki and Sakura as well as their circle of five friends. All of them either directly or indirectly assist Nozaki in creating his manga.
I'll admit, the characters are interesting to
...
watch and are quite memorable. They each have unique personalities that do well to add to the comedy of the series. However, none of them change by the end of all the episodes; they're all static characters. That doesn't mean it's impossible to want to root for them or think they're entertaining, but character development does not have a heavy influence here.
The opening theme is great. It's so fun to listen to and fits the tone of the series perfectly. I wasn't so impressed with the ending theme, but I think that may have had more to do with me not being taken by the visuals that went along with it. The music within the show proper is pretty good.
Art was fine. It was pretty good, nothing terrible ,but it wasn't really anything astounding either. I liked the vibrant colors though.
As for enjoyment, though it has its shortcomings I really like this series. It will definitely end up on my favorites. I laughed a lot, the theme song was fun, and it was appealing to my eyes.

Forgive me if I seem a bit naive in giving Baccano this score, but it's my first review so please, bear with it.
There are three parts to the Baccano story. When you first start this show, these three stories are shown to the viewer out of order and with no true protagonist. These stories may seem unconnected at first ,but as you progress through the series, the stories and what happens within them begin to make more and more sense.
Some friends of mine have dropped Baccano either because they thought the first episode was slow paced or because they didn't get the story, but when
...
you watch it to the end, it becomes am action filled wild ride with a great story.
Forgive me again. I didn't really find anything spectacular about the art style. The animation was good, but just the art didn't leave a big impression on my mind, but that's likely because I prefer more shows that do more with color. Within the context of the show, however, bright colors definitely wouldn't fit.
The opening theme is great! It gives us the names of most of the characters in our HUGE cast and is very fun to listen to. I wasn't really impressed with the ending theme however.
This show does a wonderful job with managing all its characters. In fact, it does a better job in 13 episodes (not counting the OVAs) and an out of order storyline than most series with the same amount. Nobody's really the main character and morality isn't black and white when it comes to them. The characters you might consider "good" are more of shades of grey and when it comes to the villains, though they are evil, evil is not their only characteristic.
I give my enjoyment a 10. In all honesty, it's rare for me to finish a whole series within a week, even if it's only 12 to 13 episodes. Baccano was one of the rare instances where I finished an anime in less than two days. I stayed up late at night watching this show, eager to see what happened next in the three intertwined stories, eager to have my questions answered. If you dropped this anime without getting far into it because none of your questions were being answered or you had no idea what was going on, watch it till the end. When I did and it all made sense, it felt so good.
