I usually enjoy the slow burning animes which want to take their time to settle in, but to my disappointment this was just boring.

If you do not enjoy slice of life animes in general, then this is very much not to you. If you enjoy them to some extent, then this also might not be for you. But if you really really enjoy slice of life animes, this might be for you. But I warn you, this is uneventful.

I seriously like the characters. But to my disappointment the show doesn't do anything with them. At least nothing satisfying. This show is like a pit ... stop in the world of interesting world building and backstories. Here these interesting stories just take a break and the characters live a normal life. Which, is not really a horrible premise for a show but this takes it a bit too far in my opinion. It got boring and very hard to stay invested in.

Voice acting was nice and brought relatable energy in to the characters. The atmosphere was chill and relaxed. The music was quite fun. The characters themselves were a bit rough around the edges but okay.

I don't know, not really sure who this is for. And I was a bit confused on where the story was going in general. I was quite episodic writing.

I would recommend it to everyone but I have to acknowledge the criticism I've seen here since I don't completely disagree.

Initially I was drawn in by the 80's art style and the notion this wouldn't be stupid teenagers being corny and annoying for 12 episodes, rather than adults being corny and complicated as adults can be for 13 episodes. Totally different vibe and more to my liking. The art style pulled through and the story kept me invested in the whole mystery surrounding the city they lived in.

This felt like a solid, complete piece of work with attention to detail where it was ... needed. Sure, in the animation I noticed a few poorly done frames and while I really really like the soundtrack, I noticed they were using the same music over and over again which made it noticeable (not ideal) but otherwise everything it had was of quite high quality.

The critique I've read about this here is that the story just happens too fast and there's no time to get emotionally invested in the characters. I half agree with this, since I recognise the fast pace the show keeps up, but honestly it didn't bother me that much. Everything was, in my opinion, timed well and the things that were important had their time and the things that could be looked over a bit didn't have that much time. I feel the length and the pacing was probably a compromise, but they did their best with what they had. The scenes themselves were nicely calm and not rushed, even if the changes happened a bit quickly. I imagine they didn't have resources to do 26 episode series. I'm very sympathetic for this show.

It was very good. And no, I have not read the manga.

Dragon Crisis! has every piece of a puzzle to be great, but somehow it blows it changes. It's not good.

It is animated well enough, but the writing and voice acting are awful. The main girl, the blonde little dragon girl Rose, is absolutely insufferable. I just cannot stand her. She keeps being a little piece of shit and everyone still adores her. Why? I have no idea. And the other characters aren't any better. The MC is essentially a wet sock: undesirable, you want to get rid of it, but quite effective when hitting something. Most of the characters are one note one trick ponies, ... but I guess you have to have a bit of cliches so you know what you're watching? Don't know.

The sound designing has aged poorly, the voice-acting is irritating, the plot goes where-ever, but the animation in itself is actually quite good.

Straight to the point: I have never seen anything animated this badly. I just finished episode 9 and decided to drop this.

The story is not good. The character writing is bad. The animation is horrible. I don't care for the sound design.
So why I watched this so far? I think the only potential it has is the easy going feel-good aspect of it all. Nothing bad happens in it. Which also means no real development happens in any meaningful way.

To put it in other words: this story and this show is meaningless. It's useless, it doesn't have anything to say or convey. ... If you like that, great. I know I just needed some any old brainless shit to relax but this show was on a whole another level.
Not recommended.

Finally this show sees some actual progress! The latest season before this was quite good but this could the season that turns the show back to the bright side after the unimaginably boring 2nd and 3rd seasons.
4 episodes in and this has been the most entertaining this show has been since the first season. The latest season was also okey but the emo Yukio wasn't for me. The build up wasn't very good. But this gives it context (hopefully) so ... maybe I'll be able to forgive it.

Like I said, no idea what's gonna happen, happy to find out.

This anime is the peak of 'Mixed feelings' recommendation.

I think it can be said that it is quite good quality production, the animation is good, the voice acting is good, the sound design is good... And yet the writing gives me a headache.

The pacing. Oh my god what the hell?! What is the pacing of this show? I can't put it in a box. It sort of rushes the plot around the characters here and there, constantly. But then again it kinda gives time for the little moments for the romance to take root. But then again all the decisions made by ... the characters feel so sudden and easily made that I think all of the characters are somehow dead inside, their actions and supposed feelings don't match up. It's hard to explain!

I think the romance in itself is quite good. I enjoyed it. But, the ending took me out. It could've ended differently but fuck that am I right?
I don't know, it was a good watch but then the second 'arc' began and I'm not interested anymore.

This is, no doubt, THE powerfantasy the anime.

The good things first. The animation, the battle choreography. Goddddamn they are good and nice to watch. Almost every fight scene is amazing, even when a bit monotonous. And I kinda like the soundtrack. Those things are no doubt, great.

The bad things. The writing is not amazing, it's decent, but not amazing.
I absolutely hate it, when the MC is somehow oblivious to being suddenly the hottest character in the entire town. No way could he be that stupid for someone who suddenly got super smart or whatever. All the characters are so amazingly in awe ... of the MC, that I can't stand it. MC is no doubt the most unsympathetic character to exist, since he is suddenly, without any real building, become this god-like being.
All of this was of course not any news, since I read the caption before starting the first season. And obviously since I watched the first season. I know what I'm watching and still I'm perplexed by the sheer absurdity of the character building.

Also, I don't care about the world building. The mechanics of everything isn't that clear, which makes it feel a bit half-assed.

Finally something's happening in this series again!

The last seasons after the first one were kind of a let down, but in this season stuff started to happen. Of course it wasn't perfect and there were a couple of things that annoyed me like some of the sidestories took unnecessary detours like they have a habit of taking.
What I didn't realize missing was the good heartfelt drama! Now there finally is progression with character arcs and A CHANGE that I'm interested in is finally happening.

Mixed feelings since I wouldn't recommend the last two seasons but they are needed to understand this one. They ... were like unnecessary long building arcs for this moment.

Hopefully the next season doesn't screw it up.

No idea what I just watched but I think I liked it!

Once in a blue moon the Crunchyroll site recommends something I haven't already seen.
The episodes were short, something like 3 minutes but they managed to fit in just enough things in one episode to feel like I was watching something that was progressing. Even tho the point of this show is definitely not to present a linear (or even coherent) storyline.

I like how the characters are written, but I didn't like how they were designed. The art style is shit. And the whole production quality is quite low so visually nothing ... to get excited about.

I have no idea who this show is aimed at?! It has ecchi qualities so I was thinking this was aimed at young adults maybe? But then again the whole scheme looks and feels like a bit too childish at the same time. Don't know, it was confusing.

Halfway in, and so far it's easily one of the best series of the season.
It's like the writer found everything that's trending and mushed it all together, AND SUCCEEDED!

The writing is brilliant, I don't find myself missing anything from the story or the character development. The story progresses nicely, while giving the best of cooking sequences in the middle of it all. And most refreshing thing of them all: Everything makes sense! Every motive for every character is explained and it all makes sense. The world also! I saw some reviews complaining that Marcille is annoying but imo if every other character is weird ... and eccentric, you need the ''straight-guy'' in the midst of them all. Her being there is imo justified through the storytelling. It makes the whole thing more relatable.
And speaking of relatable, I love every single character in this. They're easy enough to understand but they're complex enough to find them interesting as characters.

The art-style is amazing and feels like a mixture between Frieren and Ranking of kings. Light but impactful.

And the voice acting feels natural and is pleasant. Good stuff.
