Darling in the Franxx is the anime were you get depressed. It has a great story and the characters have good development.
The story is really well written and has some complexity because they give you in the beginning information that you will understand later on. The moment when you realized that it gives you a reaction like, "Ohhhhh this is sooooo interesting!" It's difficult to explain it in words. But if you watch it yourself it feels really crazy. But also can make people cry. So you should be prepared if you don't wanna cry.

watched that has the genre romantic, mecha and action. It has the mix but it has a good balance between the genres.
The anime had a A-1 Pictures art style. It's gives you kind of a smooth feeling or something. I personally think that the best part of the art was how they expressed the emotions. The look of their faces is really well drawn.
All the characters are special. They develop from one character to another. They change throughout the story when they explore how the real world actually is. It feels heartbreaking to think back how they have developed and how good it has actually become.
I would give this series a 10 if they made a couple more episodes. If they did, they could have a better and comprehensive story. So most of the questions that you develop throughout the story will be answered.
