Story: The premise of this show seems like it would be promising a magician gaining access to real magic. That should make for an interesting story. Unfortunately, the story is what this show is severely lacking. The pacing is all over the place, breaking up serious plot points multiple times, just to throw in some random filler.

Animation: The mouth flaps were out of sync a lot of times (especially Mariah, for some reason) and I think I even noticed a moment or two when the wrong character's mouth was moving. The animation just overall has a weird jankyness to it.

For a romance, I would say ... this show fails hard. Heck, I would swear that Makoto spent more time with the little sister than he did with Hatena.

As for the characters, Makoto, Ema, Yumemei and Guagua were likable, though Makoto is a bit plain. Hatena is incredibly annoying, which is probably considering she's one of the main characters.

Now I like to believe that most shows have some redeemable qualities to them and, thankfully, this anime has some.

The good side: Makoto and Yumemei's friendship was nice, Guagua is cute, and I like the designs of the characters.

Score: 5/10: An average show with bad animation, that dragged a nothing plot for 12 episodes. Only redeemed by a few likable characters.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, SERIOUSLY.

Story: The story is nonexistent; the show's whole premise is two characters talking to each other—that's it. I know what you're thinking: well, that can work. There are plenty of slice-of-life animes that work with that premise (Lucky Star, for example). The difference is those conversations make sense and play on humor. This show fails both those requirements. It's like being forced to listen to someone talk about something you have no interest in.

Sound: I grew up watching a lot of sitcoms, so laugh tracks never bothered me, but I think I experienced the hatred for them whilst watching this since ... this show is basically just a laugh track for unfunny jokes, if you want to call them that. The voice acting in general is just bad—no other words for it.

Art; Sadly, I cannot say it's the worst. There is at least some effort put into it—not good effort; it still looks bad, but I've seen far worse.

1/10 If I could give this a zero, I would. There is literally no reason to watch this, and I don't say that lightly as someone who enjoys watching bad anime. Most boring show I've ever watched.

Let me start by saying I know nothing about the card game Rebirth and if this show was supposed to be an introduction to it, then it failed. I have no clue how this game is supposed to be played.

So what's left of the show if it fails as an ad/introduction? Well, it's basically just cute girls doing cute things watered down heavily by card game speak. There are some decent moments when it breaks away from its ad roots, the art style is cute, some of the characters are likable, and, well, the jokes aren't laugh out loud funny some might get a small ... snort.

In terms of anime ads there are differently worse, but don't go into this thinking it will be some hidden gem.

6/10 Cute with some likable moments.

Forest Fairy Five is a special kind of bad one that physically hurts to look at if you have light sensitive eyes (seriously, it will hurt.)

Story: 1/10 Yeah, there’s no real plot in this show. They do form a dance team, but that doesn’t really go anywhere. Sometimes two of the fairies just stand around playing a word game.

Sound: 1/10 Outside of the OP, which is actually not too bad, the rest of the show sounds awful most of the time, and the actresses just sound like they are having boring casual conversations.

Animation: 1/10 The show is so bright that it can be very difficult ... to even see what the characters are doing. When you can see the characters, you’ll most likely witness their arms going through their bodies.

I honestly wouldn’t recommend this anime even to people who like to watch bad anime, as it’s not even fun bad but more so boring bad.

I actually liked Trickster quite a bit but there are a lot of flaws to this show. Don't have high hopes when going into it, the show is good but that's as much credit as I'm willing to give it.

The Story: The show is about these boys who are in a detectives club pretty simple plot, except one of the boys is an immortal due to the strange powers he has. The immortal character is the saving grace for the show's story, as the cases they solve are occasionally boring with only a few I can think of that I really liked. There are ... some really good episodes that I personally loved but you're going to be sitting through some boring ones to get to them.

The Characters: One of the biggest flaws of the show is the characters. There is only one good character of the show and that's Kobayashi as he I find he's the most interesting. The rest of the characters are either boring or seem kind of like jerks especially Hanasaki. The cast of characters was a little too big which results in under development for most of them.

The Art: I'm not sure if it was just me or what but I felt that the art style seemed to get kind of sloppy in later episodes, especially if you looked at some of the characters in the background.

Enjoyment: Despite how negative my review may seem, I really did enjoy the show, and will probably rewatch it again sometime. All in all, it's merely a good show not great but not horrible.
