If I'm being totally honest, I'd rate this show lower if it wasn't for me. If it was a style of show that I didn't personally enjoy and wasn't particularly drawn in to, it'd probably be closer to a five due to a couple of brutal issues (like the animation at certain times being very much sub-par).

However, this show DOES appeal to me. It's the specific type of show that would absolutely appeal to me, and probably to others. A spurned protagonist fighting against the odds with nihilistic scrutiny is right up my alley, and if that sounds like the show for you, then you ... should absolutely give this show a go. I'd almost call it a Tate no Yuusha lite, and since we already have Tate no Yuusha, we might as well watch another story with similar traits, because why not? There's nothing wrong with liking a specific type of show, and the more the merrier I say. All I know is I can safely say I really enjoyed this show, in spite of its flaws, and if you can accept those flaws going in, you're sure to get a kick out of it as well.
