If you told me there was a manga that combined nuns with guns killing off vampires all for the sake of the Christian church, while also maintaining a relationship with a half-bred. I would be a bit surprised by that weirdly odd specific statement but hey, this is that.
A true oddity, I only was curious to read this because I checked out the author's previous work which was "My Girlfriend is 8 Meters tall" (Which is Very Cliché but I like it). I had no real expectations going into this but honestly, it was a surprisingly pretty decent storyline but ends off just when it
...
felt like it was going to go somewhere unique.
I think I need to get this off the bat if it wasn't already kind of obvious from the cover, this goes over same-sex relationships (which isn't a bad thing at all mind you) but I know some people don't like it as much. But still...I felt like they handled the storylines pretty well from our main characters to even our side characters. The only problem is, due to the manga being incredibly short. A lot focuses on Dorothy and Maria (our main characters) but when you see a event happen to a side character, you barely felt invested. The problem is the side characters get BARELY any screen time. Shannon isn't even a protagonist until the second-half, so thank god she got some time in the spotlight. But for a vast majority of other side characters, you might see them be important and maybe 1 scene...per volume and honestly...you don't get NEARLY enough motivation to care. It's just my opinion in that matter.
Storywise, its fine. It's your typical action dynamic. Kill vampires, investigate a crime scene, come back to HQ, find out its part of a grander conspiracy. Look if your hoping for EARTH shattering development, it's 21 chapters. Your not going to get that but its a fine storyline through and through. It's gets the job done and I read this quite slowly in order to appreciate as much of it as I could. The book usually is more based on showing a LOT more fan-service than plot. Which is fine, these volumes isn't trying to break boundaries it knows its limitations and that's fine. I think it sits at a good 7 in my mind in that instance. Compared to Gahi-Chan (I read through a few months back), this has more plot than...a single storyline concluding in the very chapter it was introduced at. But it tends to usually only hint at a larger storyline which is interrupted by a lot of Unneeded exposition.
Overall, I think its good. I enjoyed my time reading it and I don't regret it. However, I don't know if many people would re-read through it, as it seems like something you would read through once and forget that you own. But hey, I give it a solid C+, if you want a short manga series to at least try. give it a shot!

Now this book is almost exactly what you would expect from the cover art alone. It's not perfect, not by a long shot. This is not going to be fondly remembered in years to come. Its on the level of Monster Musume to me, something I remembered watching when I was younger but forgot pretty much everything about it until I started reading this. It has the same level of humor to expect, aka: a lot of awkwardness and every situation evolving from a 2 to a 10. (Ex. Like eating a piece of paper with various high pitched squeals & trying to shove the
...
whole thing in your mouth instead of biting on it.)
It's your typical slice of life, every chapter has its own little story and is quickly wrapped up in the end. If you are looking with something with an overarching story or arcs, you will be disappointed. Different characters are slowly introduced over the course of the manga but overall its what you expect. It's not bad but also not great. Yet, when I ordered that I already knew what I was signing myself up for. If you want something to slowly work your way through, this isn't a bad option at all. I read like 1-2 chapters a day and I feel happy with myself for it. It at least helps me get into a habit of reading more. But if this already doesn't sound appealing, don't read any more of this review.
The artwork is nicely detailed, however I find that sometimes it has too much going along or evolves way too quickly in some panels leading to me getting a bit confused at what I am looking at. But for what it has, its a uniquely charming harem story. "Unique" with massive quotations as its like every other harem story. It's a desperate manga artists who lives with one of his drawings come to life. It does have some interesting ideas thrown in there to make some chapters feel special at least from the ones I read.
Overall, its average and stereotypical. It can be a bit boring or uncomfortable at times but its not the worst thing I read. It at least inspires me to write something better in the future. So I have to get it some props there. So, yeah those are my thoughts.

Minor Spoilers ahead.
Personally, I am not a big fan of most Isekai's. Most just bore me with a lot of predictability but as I have been slowly crawling through the "giantess stack" I found a little while ago. I said, what the hell. I'll give it a shot, as there aren't too many mangas/animes that fit my niche anyway. So I gave it a shot and I think it's good.
Some people think its "fetish fuel" (due to it featuring a main character who is a Giantess) but I can assure you. It's not at all. Like nothing that I have seen, screamed that this
...
will make you uncomfortable (Some of the violence, is quite brutal though). Honestly it might be the easiest book I could recommend to people who are naturally curious about Giants.
The art is wonderful, actually way more visually detailed than I thought it would be. It doesn't feel pointless as a lot of time and effort is put into making the world seem quite believable. Sorry I don't have much to say of the art besides it really is amazing.
The story is mostly straight forward and easy to follow along however, it does have a problem of oversimplifying problems/issues. (Minor Spoiler: Our main characters debate on culling an entire population of a town but decide against it because they caught like 3 people being nice. I get it, like don't judge a book by how you see it but like you saw only 3 people who were decent and its like. OKAY, lets not kill everyone now. I am pretty sure there are a LOT more than 3 people like that, so it just kinda acts weird.) It sounds like a bit of a nitpick while I write it down but I might need to see how the other volumes develop. I currently just completed volume 3, so maybe my thoughts and opinions may change and evolve. But the storyline is quite engaging and I do like the interactions in-between the characters.
There isn't much for me to say besides I am curious to see how it continues. This will also probably be the only Isekai series I will follow to completion but hey only time will tell.

[Slight Spoilers, I would recommend jumping in COMPLETELY BLIND to enjoy this series. But hey, here was my take on it.]
What the hell is this, might be your first thought as it was mine. Don't let the title or premise pull you away from this quite charming little series. This is really good and I TRULY mean that.
I would say it is similar to the series Senran Kagura, its plot compared to most other series is a lot more loose. If you go in for a deep emotional story, this will disappoint you. However, if you want to read through something casually every now and
...
then with a bit of fanservice, well this provides and it is wonderful.
This series has so many charming and wonderful characters, its start can feel a bit slow and boring at first but give it some time and when you start meeting more of the other characters, the series just clicks. Characters start off very one dimensional at first but will slowly reveal more parts of themselves as the story progresses. The series is about 80% filler and 20% story but even then the filler actually is used to connect multiple parts of the story together, so reading everything doesn't feel like a waste.
I am not done with this series yet and it has been my little mission to try and read it all! (The only problem is at the time of me writing this, their is no official way to read this in English, you will have to go out of your way to find that through...other websites.) I don't mind owning a Japanese manga physically but I felt that it would feel better on my shelf if I could just read it and not go to another website to translate what I just read. Just saying, please just give me these books in English, I'll buy them! I AM A MINDLESS CONSUMER!
Its hard to put into words on why it works so well, it might just be due to its charm. It finds its moments to be most serious and comedic and it almost never gets old to read. I would recommend that you should read this SLOWLY because it is easy to get burnt out over reading through so many chapters of this. To each their own I suppose.

Okay so this review may be a BIT biased. But from the first issue I read, it feels like a series I would recommend to others. So it it isn't obvious I am a bit into the whole "Giantess" thing but the manga does a good way of explaining the justification. Pretty much humanity is in ruin from gigantic beasts who just want to kill anything and everything in their path. It's the whole perspective on the food chain, what's if human's weren't at the top? I like this perspective as it's not something we commonly see in most media, the idea of what if
...
we were truly helpless in a scenario. It's not like human's can't defend themselves but its more of a pitiful defense, the most a human could do is to simply annoy the creature.
But the "Deities" are the ONLY line of defense. They are OVERSIZED humans, like I think the comparison is 50x taller? (However I could be wrong, I was never that great at math.) The point is, Deities need weapons to battle against the monsters but humans provide them the weapons to fight. In return the deities protect the people, respect and cherish each one of them and fight their battles so that they can all live another day. It feels like a harmonious relationship, they both need each other to survive and both have the same common enemy.
Their is a LOT I could talk about but if this sounds interesting to you, I would recommend going in blind. As you might find something interesting from a perspective you haven't seen before. The artwork is beautifully detailed, quite a lot of action sequences and graphic depictions of violence. I would recommend at least checking out the first issue.

This may be one of the only manga's I have ever read where I feel nothing but disappointment.
I mean if the cover and the description wasn't obvious already, this appears to the giantess fandom. But if you are already reading this or looking at this, you already know this by now. It's a short manga, you can blow through it in about 2 hours or less, its pretty short and concise. I personally am a fan for this niche. You can call me a sucker but hey, cheesiness has got me into a number of series I felt iffy about anyways.
While the manga has
...
great artwork, but it doesn't have a story. Like I get it, har har you bought a book that caters to your niche and your complaining about plot? But like, when you read anything, you get invested into a story because of a plot. The problem is pacing out its events. Since the author more than likely just wanted to make side stories focusing on a giant doing normal day jobs, rather than string them along. It will start and then sharply turn 90 degrees before you are thrown into the next job of that chapter. Seeing Sonico interacting with these jobs, is the most enjoyable parts of the manga. But most of the interactions are so short, that it just comes across as a bit of adissapointment.
But hey those are my thoughts, if you are still curious about its existence, check it out. But just know that their isn't much you would be missing out on.

This is a show very difficult to recommend as it has good elements as it has its bad elements. I would rate it on the same level as something like Rooster Teeth's: "Red Vs Blue: Zero" It had some amazingly done action sequences but the story feels underwhelming.
In 3 episodes it tries to explain why you need to care about these gods, demons and humans within the story and it does a passable job but I wouldn't say it is all believable. Like this whole show exists just to show off the action sequences, which are fantastic! I am a action fanatic and god damn
...
the animation team put all of their efforts into them, these are the most recognizable parts of the show. However just because a show has good action doesn't mean I can look over some of the problems.
In the first episode we get a cool action opening, the problem is I have no idea who any of these characters are and I am expected to care about their struggles. All I see and read from the titles just sounds like a overconfident brat who decided to challenge someone for no reason. I watched this same scene I would say about 5 times and all I can say is this fight did not need to take place, like at all. Am I missing some context, I am genuinely confused at what is going on. The fight is cool but they introduce you to 8 characters in 5 minutes and 3 of the characters have one line of dialogue and do nothing. 2 sit on the sidelines, 2 get involved and I am already confused.
The thing that makes a good fight scene is conflict and build up, since I didn't know what I was getting from purely watching this through a few times all I can say is: "Lazy writing." It felt like it focused on action first, story second and that isn't a good thing as it makes the show feel bland. I think the rest of the first episode works as it shows a series of actions building up to conflict but then Episode 2 comes around.
When you watch the episode you cut to a few new characters being introduced just to be killed later, 5 minutes of character building does not make me emotionally invested. Then after a fight scene we see these people just get killed, making me question what the point of all of this was. We've known these people in the village for maybe less than a minute each and they are trying to make us care about each one.
Why this makes me angry is there was no development, all we get for development is our main fire protagonist who I forgot the name of. It feels like a show with cool ideas and it doesn't know how to execute them, as if this series had a few more episodes maybe it could have meant something. The problem is build up is hard to pull off correctly, at least it isn't like Naruto, One Piece, Bleach or Dragon Ball which has their final fights span tens of episodes straight. However it is build up and it leads to understanding more about the characters in the world, you can't expect to care about people within only a few minutes of introducing them.
Creative fight scenes don't save this show from being plainly mid, I understand their is going to be a continuation and I am looking forward to seeing these cool fight scenes. But I want them to learn from the story telling as the first 2 episodes highlighted some serious concerns I have going forward.

Picture this. A Dragon and a Human fall in love and have a child. Yep that is basically the premise of this story.
It is a very simple concept and I found it so enjoyable, I went into this BLIND. And what I took away from this was buying the manga along side it. This OVA was so wild and insane, it goes a mile a minute and if you get overwhelmed easily this can be a lot to take in. Basically a Dragon Girl is a teenager who attends pop concerts and wants to become a human again because is mocked by everyone she meets
...
along the way for being a Dragon Half.
It seems stupid but I understand the feeling of being unwanted by society, what I did not expect was the insane stuff that happened afterwards. It really feels like something you should watch with a group of friends, I still find it...odd as it relies on that one word: "Fan-service" especially with a teenager. That screams screwed up to me.
Just try it and hey you may personally like it.

This series was a very unexpected surprise. I don't watch a lot of these types of animes but the poster caught my eye. I had no idea this was originally based off of a manga strip and television property for so many years. So I went in completely blind. I had no expectation of if this show was good or bad and I got to tell you...I love this show.
It is your basic type of Saturday morning cartoon as most of the premises revolve around our main character who was designed to have: "Terrible Luck with Women." Which I find both hilarious & stupid. The
...
plots are very simple to understand and some people could get really bored by what makes this show work is the characters. They usually feature 2 character traits that blend really well together with enough unique visual variety makes each character stand out.
Now some episodes I have seen are bad, but I think we would all expect that from mostly a skit show. It features 2, 11 Minute episodes back to back with a slight overarching plot but mostly it is used to introduce the characters. Each character is over the top and equally crazy and I love it! I also cried at one of the episodes...which I didn't expect to. I won't spoil what happens but all I will say is it involves a memento.
Look if you need to watch something, this isn't bad to watch every now and then. However if you are looking for something more serious...your in the wrong place.

Before you watch this show understand this is NOT LIKE THE ORIGINAL SHOW! This is a reboot of Trigun, so whatever you see here is a interpretation by Studio Orange. But as I am watching it so far...it is really good. I understand some people don't like the 3D animation and prefer the old 2D style of the original anime. But this change isn't a bad thing, 3D animation compared to what some people may think isn't any cheaper than a 2D show, sometimes it is more expensive. Not all the time but in this case it has more effort put in compared towards others.
Style:
...
9. I am not going to lie the artstyle originally felt off to watch at first (reminded me of What If...?). However I think it pulls off it's visual style excellently. Each character pops out of the environment, this helps make each character stand out regardless if they are important to the plot or not. The backgrounds are dreary to reflect the nature of the deserted wasteland, while character's or even set pieces stand out with bright colors that draw your eyes to those details. Clothes, Glowing lights, weapons, the planets. Everything stands out so much and it really is amazing too see.
Animation: 10. I am a sucker for a good old animated fight scene and this show doesn't disappoint, the action is smooth and always raises up the stakes from the previous episode. (this is a good tip for making a good fight scene, Conflict)
Soundtrack: 6.5. It may be just me but the soundtrack is kinda forgettable, there may be occasionally a few neat tracks here and there but it really doesn't stand out. I would recommend the original soundtrack as it is ICONIC. Every track (maybe just me) stands out from one another. The soundtrack isn't terrible, it just isn't not notable. Well no that isn't true, the music kicks up during the action sequences which usually are near the beginning or towards the end of an episode. I love these soundtrack segments, I just wish there was a bit more for the background audio. Yet I understand it isn't fair for me to compare the original to a reboot.
Storyline: 7.5. It is hard to comment on if a story is going to fantastic as the show is still airing, however I like the changes made from the original. It is hard to talk about without going into spoilers, however understand that Vash has a strong desire to keep his promise no matter the situation. Understanding that is a critical part of TRIGUN. Just please watch this show, so much love and effort has been put into this to make this a must watch as of right now.
