I am disappointed at this season. The first season is a 9.5 for me, because it has great world building and a fresh concept to get you watching, and after a few episode, they bring in the hype, the 'Aura KYS' moment is so goated. There is always some big arc interlaced with some slice of life moments. The 2nd season however, is just small slice of life story for 5 episode now, which completely ruins the show. The hype is totally gone. And all the story telling method is so overused by now, it has become a trope and boring.

I see some ani-tuber say this is like Overlord, they couldn't be more wrong!
Aniz is trying to be cool while not all that perfect --- relatable and funny Shadow is trying to be an side character while doing all the protagonist stuff and oh so perfect --- Kirito with a complex, cringe Why? The premise of this show is the MC is super capable but pretend to be useless side character. And at first this is quite refreshing, and even get me laughing a couple of time. But the show quickly drop all this pretense, and gone full Kirito mode. The only thing that is making this ...

OMG, this is straight up hentai with even worse plot!!! The writing is so bad, that I have to fast forward to not roll my eyes too hard.
I know this is suppose to creat drama, but all the rape scene after the first episode is purely unnecessary. Even goblin slayer, after showing how despicable goblins can be (rape scene), didn't repeatedly show new rape scene every 10 minutes. You have made your point, the MC is damaged, why do it over and over again? Also the intended audience is all over the place. If you are a M, I guess you would be aroused ...

As a isekai, the MC suffers from genericness syndrome.
1.Undeserved love from all around. Why are all woman so unrealisticly horny? It just make the story jarring and unbeliveable. 2.Overpowered in a uninteresting and random way. So he just happen to get the luck to get the most overpowered skill, how original. Power fantasy done well is really good (overlord, slime...), but this is just cringe as hell. The power system should be feathered in as the story progresses. You like the character and the world first, then you want to find out about the way the world works. This show just shows you all the stuff ... |
