Shining Star

Shining Star is really similar to all of the Pretty Series in general, but I think it's fair to compare it to rainbow live. Both are idol shows around several idol groups. Both focus on character relationships more than an overarching plot. Compared to other idol shows these tend to be a bit darker, shining star is more focused on the tough idol industry whereas Rainbow Live tends to be mostly focused on family drama, but you'll definitely cry with both. Shining star is 3d animation even outside idol performances so if you're not used to it, it can be a bit jarring but it's still a great contender. Any Aikatsu and Pretty Series fan will probably like Shining Star and vice versa, since they have a lot of similarities if we desregard the animation style.

Majo wa Mioji kara

- Both mangas are about a cast of characters that don't belong to the normal human society (dragons in one, witches in another) and their daily lives, leading to really fun ''culture shock'' situations. - Both have a focus on comedy and romance. - Both have a character named Kobayashi. - Both seem to have dragons/witches in an office workplace. - Both main characters seem to be quite fond of alcohol. + Main difference is Majo wa Mioji Kara has way less fanservice (barely none) than Kobayashi. But if that's not a big deal to you, and you liked the rest, you'll probably like the other.

Waccha PriMagi!

Both Aikatsu and Pretty Rhythm (the main series of waccha primagi) often have a lot of similarities, so if you like one it's quite likely you'll like both. Both have wholesome idol dynamics, magic elements, cute girls and CGI performance with the music actually being sang by the voice actor of the character (something that doesn't happen in every idol anime where sometimes seiyuu and singer are two different people). This makes it feel more realistic and close to the actual jpop scene (some people are against this so ymmv). Both also have a focus on duo performances and the idea of a best friend/partner

ReLIFE

Both NHK and ReLIFE have a NEET main character whose life is a mess. The approach to this problem is completely different though. ReLIFE is more of a wholesome slice of life with romance sprinkled in, but with some really serious messed up scenes to remind you that this isn't completely wholesome. NHK on the other hand relies on being surprisingly realistic and brutal sometimes, with some absurd comedy in the middle. NHK is enjoyed more when you've watched the anime first in my opinion, whereas ReLIFE has a superior manga (because it's complete unlike the anime adaptation). Both are must watch if you've been a NEET at any point of your life, currently are, or know someone going through that. They're both different approaches to the same premise, with a focus on personal growth and knowing yourself (just one is more realistic than the other)
