I can't believe it has been 15 years since the original. The first season made quite an impact with its Cartoon Network influences combined with great animation, music, humor and action. And now that the second season is finally here and we are all old now I just have one question? Why?
This questions stems from the fact that this season rightdown disappoints on almost all fronts outside music. The angels, Panty and Stocking, now team up with the demons from the first season, Scanty and Kneesocks. This is a very good idea as the demons are great characters but the show just sidelines them right ...

I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say this was one of the most anticipated romance anime of the season. I personally liked the first season, where Marin—the popular gyaru otaku—and the shy Wakana, who keeps himself busy with his grandfather's traditional doll business, find common ground in cosplay and make a great combo breaking into that scene. By the end of the first season, it became clear to Marin that she had fallen in love with Wakana, and that's where we pick up in this season.
Unfortunately, this season starts to focus on a slew of new side characters, completely losing sight of its main ...

Lucky Star is iconic. It has been a part anime and meme culture for nearly 2 decades now. It pretty much defined Moe as a term and the slice of life genre. In the Cute girls doing cute things genre there is no going around Lucky Star. The question however how fun is it to actually watch? After two decades and several rewatches I came to the conclusion that it's quite mixed.
The whole thing starts absolutely terrible. Every rewatch I always skip the first three episodes as they are completely unfunny and nothing happens. 4 girls just talk about the most random of things. ...

The three girls consists out of a pure Gyaru with a heart of gold, an know it all otaku and a rich airhead that is just a sweetheart. They make an unusual trio but that makes it work as an anime. This is a short episode show, around 7 minutes each, and revolve mostly around the things that girls go through on school during puberty, in combination with the stereotypes that with being a gyaru, otaku and richgirl.
