I loved Tokyo Ghoul so I had high expectations for this sequel, and fortunately, for the most part, it lived up to them, though with some nuances.
The story introduces many new characters, and at first, the previous ones don't appear much, though they later return to play significant roles and are even explored in greater depth. For the most part, I found the new characters very interesting.
As for the plot, it remained very interesting and intriguing, with many exciting moments, great fights, and deeper exploration of various aspects of the first part of the story, as well as its dramatic and emotional weight.
Unfortunately, I feel
...
the final part of the story didn't quite live up to the rest. While the philosophical aspect of nihilism vs. existentialism was interesting, its execution left something to be desired. There are many things that were left unexplained or not explored in depth, and I believe it had the potential to be better. That said, At least the most important thing, the conclusion of Kaneki's was developed in a satisfying way, so I was content with the ending.
The art is incredible in this second part, there was a lot of improvement. The horror scenes were portrayed amazingly.
In conclusion: Tokyo Ghoul was an incredible story. While I feel the final part didn't quite measure up, that doesn't take away from the fact that much of the story was simply exceptional and that I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Tokyo Ghoul is a manga that presents us with a world where humans and ghouls coexist in a conflicted manner.
It's a story that shows the perspective of both sides in this conflict, allowing for an in-depth exploration of how ghouls and humans affect each other as living beings. The protagonist, Ken Kaneki, serves to some extent as a conduit for all of this; he is a tragic, very interesting and well-developed character. But in general, it has a cast of very interesting characters, both ghouls and humans, which greatly enriches the plot. Because through their backgrounds, we see the causes and consequences of the conflict.
...
It also helps us understand their way of thinking and their objectives.
The action is very well done, and the psychological horror scenes are very well achieved. They are a great complement to the story.
The art is very good. Where I liked it the most is in the horror or dramatic scenes.
In conclusion: Tokyo Ghoul is an excellent manga, ideal for those who like stories that aren't just black and white, but go a step further to present a more complex plot with characters that feel real.

This manga really surprised me in a good way. There is a lot of detail and knowledge regarding mental illnesses, investigation methods, the police, and in general everything that appears throughout the story, which gives it a realistic touch—a very good mix of realism and fiction.
The plot is complex, has a very good pace, and every chapter leaves you wanting more. There are very good plot twists, although the main mystery was a bit predictable for me (I don't want to get into spoilers). That doesn't take away from how interesting it was to see how it all unfolded. What I like the most is
...
that it shows in depth all the events that happen in the plot, which is quite ambitious and, for the most part, very well achieved. However, this depth can also lead to potential "errors" or things that might feel convenient. But that's natural, and they by no means overshadow all the good things this manga has. I feel it's a great story that can be enjoyed even more upon rereading.
Mental illnesses and traumas are a major focus throughout the story, and the way they were handled was simply exceptional. Similarly, all the criminal aspects felt within realistic limits.
The ending was very satisfying and, for me, very important in elevating the work a step higher.
The art is incredible—the character designs, expressions, atmosphere, etc. Everything is excellent and blends very well with the tone of the story.
In conclusion: An excellent thriller that exceptionally blends realism and fiction. A complex plot that doesn't just skim the surface but shows everything in depth.

Fruits Basket is a unique story. At first, it might give the impression of being a "generic" romantic story with a love triangle, but nothing could be further from the truth.
It has a very profound plot that explores themes like family bonds, romantic relationships, trauma, personal growth, and the search for purpose in an exceptional way. It has many moments of humor, joy, and hope, as well as many moments with heavy dramatic, sad, and reflective weight, much like life itself. It often achieves a unique blend of all these elements in a very natural and moving way that I have rarely seen.
It has many
...
characters, but most of them are very interesting. The main characters have significant development throughout the story, and the secondary characters all fulfill an important narrative role to some extent. Furthermore, the romantic relationships are also very well developed.
Compared to the anime, where the third season feels a bit rushed, in the manga the final part of the story unfolds in a more natural and complete way. Although the conclusion is satisfying in both, here it is better developed and with a more appropriate pace, which for me makes it the definitive way to experience the story in all its splendor.
The art might be a bit rough at first, but it improves as the story progresses. Personally, I liked it; it has a certain warmth and also manages to convey the emotion of the scene well in key moments, moving the reader in conjunction with the narrative.
In conclusion: Fruits Basket is one of the best manga in its genre. It is a unique and emotional story that exceptionally achieves what it sets out to do, leaving a mark on the reader.

Shingeki no Kyojin has all the ingredients of a masterpiece. The plot is complex and profound, with an excellent pace that keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The handling of suspense is incredible, showcasing the author's skillful ability to reveal just what is necessary at the right moment. He surprises you with revelations that advance the plot in an unpredictable and fascinating way, or simply with moments of high emotion and tension.
The dramatic weight is also present and excellent; it's a story that doesn't remain in simple black and white. Instead, it explores all the nuances between ideals, war,
...
politics, and above all, the human being itself. All the themes addressed are executed perfectly, with a clear message that is developed subtly. And for all this, it's clearly very important to highlight that the characters are EXCELLENT. Without a doubt, this is one of the strongest points of Shingeki no Kyojin. The vast majority of characters are very interesting, with well-established personalities and developed in depth, allowing us to empathize with them, understand them, and making them feel very real. This is a fundamental pillar of any story, and Shingeki no Kyojin fulfills it with flying colors; very few stories can have such a large and well-executed cast.
Furthermore, the action scenes are very well done; they are exciting and help complement all the good things this story has. There are also moments of horror that, like the action, are necessary to complement the narrative. Nothing is there just "because." Everything serves a narrative purpose.
Regarding the Art, it might be a bit rough at the beginning, but it improves a lot as the story progresses. I find it to be a very expressive art style; the characters' expressions are very well achieved, and the design of the Titans is excellent. The artistic decisions the author makes to depict important scenes seemed very fitting to me, and the work in this sense has a lot of style and personality that fit perfectly with the tone of the story.
Conclusion: In my opinion, Shingeki no Kyojin is simply a masterpiece. It was an incredible experience that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish.

Erased, beyond its supernatural element, is a highly realistic and intriguing story about a series of kidnappings and murders, where the protagonist tries to prevent these events from happening. The plot keeps you hooked at all times, and the characters are very interesting—especially the protagonist, who shows tremendous growth from beginning to end. The story’s message is also very positive and heartwarming.
The only major downside for me is the ending (though it's better and more complete than the anime’s), which still doesn’t fully convince me. I feel like it loses some of the realism that was present throughout the story. It’s not entirely bad, but
...
without going into spoilers, it feels different from everything that came before—in short, it comes across as more fictional and less realistic. That said, this is just my opinion, and it doesn’t overshadow all the great aspects of this story, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
The artwork isn’t the manga’s strongest point, but it’s decent—it has its own style and effectively conveys the emotion of key scenes.
In conclusion: Even though the ending didn’t completely win me over, I still think this is an incredible and largely realistic story. If you enjoy serial killer mysteries, this is a manga I highly recommend.

Parasyte is a manga with a concept that deeply explores humanity, living beings, and nature in a highly original and, in my opinion, well-executed way. The story is incredibly engaging, and the main characters—Shinichi and Migi—were excellent. The way they learn to coexist despite being different life forms, along with their development throughout the story, was incredible and very well done. The entire concept of the parasites and how they adapt to their environment was also handled brilliantly.
I also want to highlight the great dose of action, featuring strategic and highly entertaining fights. The ending was very satisfying and unexpected. I’d even say this is
...
one of the few stories that truly understands the concept of a serial killer (even though it’s not the main focus), and the ideas presented at the end of the manga were fascinating.
The art style is typical of late '80s and early '90s manga—nothing to criticize—and the designs are very well done.
In conclusion: Parasyte is an incredible manga with an interesting and well-executed concept. If you enjoy horror and action but also appreciate well-written stories with compelling characters, this manga is for you—highly recommended!

Well, what can I say about this manga? It deals with a harsh childhood caused by a mentally ill mother and how trauma changes and affects your entire life... Apparently, it’s somewhat based on the author’s own experiences.
This is quite noticeable because the story is and feels realistic at all times—but precisely for that reason, it can also be sickening at moments. That is, sometimes it feels as if the author were writing and drawing more for themselves than for the readers, which can make certain parts of the story feel a bit strange or out of place. Still, that doesn’t take away
...
from all the good things this manga has.
The story feels real and conveys sensations of helplessness, sadness, frustration, etc., very effectively. The characters feel incredibly real, and it’s easy to empathize with them (I genuinely felt a lot of pity for the protagonist, his father, and even his mother in a way).
The art prioritizes human expressions and some abstract tones—some scenes work really well with this style, while others don’t as much. But for the most part, it was very well done.
I wouldn’t recommend this manga to everyone, only to those looking for something extremely realistic and who don’t mind seeing something deeply disturbing and unsettling at times. Additionally, the ending might feel a bit abrupt and not very comforting. But if you like realistic stories regardless of how emotionally heavy or dark they get, this manga is almost perfect and incredible in that regard. A disturbing yet unique and deeply emotional experience.

A very beautiful story with a meaningful message.
The characters are very interesting, and the way they faced their problems/traumas and emotions was portrayed realistically. The mystery of the tunnel and how they dealt with its existence and discovered how it worked was also very interesting and realistic.
I really enjoyed reading this manga, and the ending was satisfying.
The art is very good, with nothing to complain about.
I saw the movie first, this manga is superior to the movie and the story is more developed (although the light novel is the original source anyway, unfortunately it is not available in my language). I loved this manga and,
...
of course, I highly recommend it.

Oshi No Ko is a manga with a very unique and original concept.
The plot revolves around the entertainment industry, detailing and realistically portraying the world of show business in its various forms (television, music, theater, etc.), as well as the influence of social media.
On top of that, it has incredible characters. They all have well-developed personalities, and their stories, ambitions, and insecurities are presented in a very interesting way that makes you empathize with them. This creates very emotional and well-executed dramatic moments.
For me, the strongest points of Oshi no Ko are the drama and its characters. It also has a bit of romance that
...
helps us explore the characters further, and some very good comedic moments (to be expected from the author of Kaguya-sama).
In addition to all this, there is a revenge subplot that becomes more relevant towards the end of the story. Conceptually, it's very good, although the development felt a bit rushed in the final parts compared to the previous arcs. However, the ending left me satisfied as it is consistent with what was shown throughout the story and was something I expected, although some people were surprised and not everyone liked it, so it can be considered a controversial ending.
The art is one of the strong points of this manga; it is simply excellent.
In conclusion: Oshi no Ko is an excellent manga, where its strongest points are the drama, the characters, and the art. It is without a doubt one of my favorite manga/anime. So I highly recommend it.
PS: I adjusted the review a bit after being able to read the final parts of the manga more calmly and having been able to organize my thoughts better. My first review was a bit off.
