These two animes aren't particularly similar at face value. One's about an alien girl and the other is about a band, the only throughline being music as a thematic device. The similarities stem more from their early 2000s anarchistic atmosphere and attitude. Whilst this anime isn't "like" FLCL, it certainly feels like it appeals to FLCL fans.

If you liked FLCL add

...then you might like Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na! add

Both have a similar feel with characters and animation. However, FLCL feels more adult and melancholy whereas Eizouken is fairly upbeat throughout its run.

Spiritual sequel to Tatami Galaxy. Both by same studio and director. Both share similar themes. Both have same art style.

Very similar style of comedy and animation. Kill la Kill is a bit more light-hearted.
