As I said in my previous review of the movie, this series is a continuation of that movie. Be sure to watch that first before you get into this season.
Now onto the review.
Platform
Though Muse Asia got the license late, after episode 4, they released the series as scheduled. Good job, guys. I'm proud of the scheduling.
Other than Muse Asia, it is also available on Crunchyroll.
The review;
Plot/Story
...
Believe it or not, it has an overarching story.
No, seriously!
If you ever watch season one and two, there were not a lot of story plots, but here, they have it.
I'm not sure why they made this shift, but I don't have a major complaint about it. In fact, I am actually interested in how they develop the plot.
Character
We got Cid in the series now, Shadow from Eminence in Shadow. As usual, he didn't get that much screen time. Well, at least in this instance, it actually makes sense, unlike Naofumi. Felt like such a waste that he was even there in the first place. Thank goodness they at least have a dedicated episode for him and Motoyasu. Always such a joy seeing Motoyasu getting dunked on. Lol
OST/SFX
Two Thumbs Up.
Animation
They up their game!
I've checked out the production team, and it was the same as the movie!
No wonder it was beautifully animated, even though it has a chibi look.
VA
I must admit, I'm impressed with this crowd of VAs who really enjoy their time as the voices of these characters. They immerse themselves in the characters so much. I love it!
The conclusion;
The good
As always, very fun to watch. I don't have anything other to say.
The bad
I want more. They have the gall to make this season only have 11 episodes. 😩
Gratitude
Thanks, Muse Asia. I knew you would eventually buy the license to this series. You won't leave us hanging, just like that.
Overall 8.9/10
A great season. I want more.

I might be the party pooper here. Before I discuss the review, let me explain why I'm unable to recommend this series.
I have read many stories about the kingdom theme, especially on Webtoon, and boy, the stories felt like a carbon copy of each other, especially when it comes to action.
It always boiled down to the high-ranking people being evil, and the MC, who is at the bottom, tried to take them down. This is no different.
But hey, at least the last few episodes were great because of the hype they teased from the start.
Anyway.
How did I find this?
I actually found this because people were
...
talking about it a lot on the Internet, especially on the Anime Reactor space.
Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?)
I don't. I actually never wanted to invest my time in this series, but I watched episode one, so I have to finish it.
I'm one of those people who can't just drop a series in the middle just because it's bad. I will try to finish it to see if it is bearable to watch.
If you visit my dropped series on my page, you can clearly see that most of the series are hard to watch, and the others were too long.
You might think I hate the series on that dropped series, but no, I just don't have the desire to finish it.
Platform
Bahamut Anime Crazy for Taiwan, Bilibili Global, Catchplay, Crunchyroll, and iQiyi.
I swear I will watch a lot of anime legally, but for now, I don't have the money to invest in a lot of streaming services at once.
The review;
Plot/Story
A tomboy princess got a magic gift, and she used that gift to throw a hand at the people she dislikes.
That's the gist of it, nothing more. Now, you can fill in the rest of your typical royal story you have ever read or watched into the mix.
I don't know, to be honest, I'm struggling to justify the story to you. I can, however, say that if you endure the middle part of the anime, you'll be rewarded with a good ending.
Character
Gotta give it to the author, they actually know how to make them interesting to watch. I love Scarlet and Julius' interaction throughout the series. Heck, her interaction with her brother was also amazing. Hell, it was even better when the three were together. I give them that.
But because of the story, I feel empty. I don't like the story's plot. The direction felt uninteresting as the character in it just... I don't know how to say it, but it's just not my kind of story to put this kind of character. I would love it more if the story were SOL. I'm serious.
OST/SFX
Nothing special. Two Thumbs Up.
Animation
From the looks of it, they have this anime on the lowest priority. I mean it very fair stand.
What do I mean by that? Let me explain.
Remember! I don't have an interest in checking out this anime. I do, however, have an interest in anime production stuff.
You see, LIDENFILMS released 3 anime this season. Tojima Wants To Be Kamen Rider, Cat's♥Eye, and this series. As a curious person, I wanted to see how they handle each anime.
This anime has good animation in some parts of the episode. Tojima has spectacular animation, and it keeps it till the end of the first cour, and Cat's♥Eye was on hiatus due to QC.
Both Tojima and Cat's♥Eye are big properties.
Tojima has a live-action backing this anime, basically, a love letter to the original Kamen Rider series. There is no fucking way they want that anime to mess up.
While Cat's♥Eye is a remake series. The OG series was kind of a success, according to the rumor I heard online, especially in Japan. That's why I can see why they go on hiatus to do QC for that series.
From here, you can see, right? Why does this anime have stiff animation? Like, when Scarlet was about to punch some asshole, they didn't even bother to animate her hair swaying. Multiple times! It was throwing me off completely because the animation before that still image was good, and then it stopped moving completely. I might be misremembering it, but I vaguely remember that there is another scene like that as well, where the character stops completely, and the only thing that moves is the mouth.
They might have done some inside joke there because Scarlet's gifted power was manipulating time. They might have animated it like that to emphasize her power. Idk, man, I can't tell, lol.
VA
Same as OST/SFX. Nothing special. Two Thumbs Up.
The conclusion;
The good
I enjoy my time watching this to a certain extent.
The bad
I won't recommend this to other people.
Overall 5.7/10
I wouldn't say it was bad, but if you ever want to watch it, just lower your expectations to the lowest. Trust me, you need it.

Aaaah, my comfort zone. It couldn't be greater than this.
Last time I saw an anime with a workplace setting was "I Have Crush At Work (Can You Keep It A Secret?)."
That was a blast! I have a blast with this as well. And not only that, but I also enjoy reading the manga. It's available on MangaUP! So, might as well read it, right?
How did I find this?
Actually, I have read it before and haven't continued it because of the length of the series. Could you believe it that this series actually has over 100 chapters today? Don't know if it's any good beyond the
...
anime, because I noticed that a lot has been added and removed from the manga that I even forgot which one was canon. Lol
Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?)
I haven't seen much of workplace romance anime, so this is definitely a great addition to the roster of those types of romance stories.
Hmm, I should watch more of these, shouldn't I?
Platform
Catchplay, and... Crunchyroll. Huff... I should definitely use Catchplay again. I hate being a pirate.
*After researching before uploading this, it's not even available on my country's server. Haiya...
The review;
Plot/Story
Your typical man and woman romance in a workplace. Actually, not just that! Female senpai and male kouhai romance!
The rest? Well, as you guessed from the title of this anime, it gets awkward. No! Not that kind of awkward. It's just that Kannawa, the female senpai, is really shy about everything. She is a shut-in otaku, you know? I can relate.
Now, after hearing that, imagine how awkward it would be when she has a male kouhai to mentor. Not just that, he is popular among women. YES! THAT type of awkward. Which is really cute in concept.
Character
Love it! Absolutely love it.
The delivery of both MCs is really great. The facial expression, the VA, and the animation delivered some banger to these characters. Props to the team for making it this good!
OST/SFX
The OP sounds so great. I saw a Japanese comment on the official OP video on YouTube, and they said that the song sounded like the early '90s. Now, I haven't seen many of those anime OST, but if they sound like this, I would love to consume more. The ED is also great, love to hear a great melody from the ED.
SFX? Well, I would love to talk about it in more detail because I do love some of those moments' SFX, it's just that I would like it to be more pop-ups. But as it is delivered, it might lose its power a bit, not gonna lie. Lol
But hey, still kudos to the team though.
Animation
Also love it! This has that simple style and a really easy-to-animate feeling in it. Seeing the studio that makes this, I realize this is the second studio, THIS SEASON, I found in the wild. I hope you have a great success, guys! I love, I mean LOOOOVEEEE the animation style.
VA
Great!
I never thought that Kannawa would have that deep of a voice when I was reading the manga, but hey! It works, so kudos to Lynn for the great performance of Kannawa.
Other than her, Two Thumbs Up! You guys did a great job to guys. Amazing work!
The conclusion;
The good
I'm glad that workplace romance is getting a little bit bigger. I love to see that.
The bad
I have to catch up with the manga now. Haiya...
Overall, 8.7/10
Great watch, and now, let's catch up with the current chapter of the manga, shall we? I have some work to do. Lol

Gonna be honest with you here. Don't expect too much from this series.
Essentially, what you are about to witness in this series is just pure sweetness; even the action feels bland.
But that said, I love every bit of it!
How did I find this?
It's on Anione Asia's line-up for the Fall anime, and CawcawTV reacted to the first episode of the series.
Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?)
I wasn't actually interested in watching this, but I saw Caw's reaction to the first episode of it, and I was like, "NO WAY???!! Another anime with the MCs already together? Sign me up!"
...
Platform
Anione Asia, Bahamut Anime Carzy (Taiwan), Bilibili Global, Catchplay, and Crunchyroll.
The review;
Plot/Story
Essentially, two freak nobles get together because they have something in common. I said freaks, but the reality is actually not true. It's just that people claimed that the MCs are freaks.
You see, Melphie, the female MC, has a thing where she was the only person who loved to eat monster meat, whereas people look at that in disgust. No one likes that.
Then, there is the male MC, Aristide, who got called Blood-Man Duke because of how gruesomely he slashes a monster.
So, yeah, Melphie sees Aristide as a prince charming, being cool while slashing a monster. Meanwhile, Aristide looks at Melphie, cute for being different from others.
Here is the thing, though! Like I said, don't expect too much from this series, because they spend about SEVEN episodes on the back of a dragon to reach their destination. No, I'm not joking. This happened just because Aristide wanted Melphie to become his wife and celebrate it in his kingdom. Yes! They spend that many episodes migrating Melphie. 🤣
WAIT! Before you crash out, saying this shouldn't be an anime if that's the case. Remember! I'm an avid lover of SOL anime. These are my gems! I love this shit. It definitely reaches its target audience.
Character
Cute! Every single one of them.
And the glazing of Melphie's cooking of the monster food is just gems. I'm dying of laughter throughout those times. I love spending time watching this series just because of that.
Even the general interaction is just *Chef's kiss* magnificent, especially between the two Lead Characters.
OST/SFX
Nothing to praise here, all is good, Two Thumbs Up.
Animation
As much as I praise all of the above, I have to address this. Animation in this series is not that impressive. I thought the studio that did Gushing Magical Girl learn from that series and implied it here too, but I guess they just don't care too much about the animation, huh? What a shame.
I guess, at least, this series has more animation than OPM season 3, and it has more consistency in production. So, that's that.
VA
Nothing special, so Two Thumbs Up!
The conclusion;
The good
I'm glad I checked out this series. I'm finding a lot of hidden gems this year, huh. Nice!
The bad
They finish up with an open ending. HAIIIIYAAAA. Why would you do that, lah?
Gratitude
Thanks, Anione Asia, for providing this anime free to watch on YouTube.
Overall 7.5

My review of the prologue might be deleted, but my point still stands here. I had mixed feelings about the series.
I watched the series twice, once weekly, and the second time was without the one-week delay, and I carefully gathered my thoughts. Yeah, I'm still not really liking the story. The only thing I liked was the animation and the OST.
How did I find this?
I remember I was trying to catch up with some PA original works. I have finished Food For the Soul and tried to finish Na Nare Hana Nare, but this show showed up on my TL, and I thought to myself,
...
"You know what? I'll watch this first before that Cheerleader show."
Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?)
Well, I don't need to tell much, do I? The visual is stunning. Like, really great character and background design, of course, I'll take the bait.
Platform
Animation Digital Network, Catchplay, HIDIVE, and the platform I watch it, YouTube, on a channel called Tropics Anime Asia (for FREE).
The review;
Plot/Story
AN IDEA OF A FUTURISTIC WORLD.
Yeah, those kinds of stories. AI, Android, Polygony Marragie (or the show called it Elsie), basically your typical future shit. This story centered on a guy who woke up after a disastrous event. His mission is to find his loved one, who might or might not be alive, with the help of an android and a human girl. And later on, in the series, we found out that he is an android himself. (Wow, what a plot twist.)
Anyway, again, I said it on that deleted review that I don't see anything particularly unique on this show, especially when it centered around love. It boiled down to the execution of animation and OST. They nailed it there, but the story didn't carry the same feeling. I just watched the show for the animation, to be fair. Especially when compared to OPM season 3, this is still better.😂
Character
Conflicted to say the least.
I... have lost for words after finding out the show lost footing on the last couple of episodes. Seriously, it felt like a rush to finish. Episodes 9 and 10 in particular.
I haven't said it yet, but the visual for the opening theme song really made me think, "Yeah, they will butcher the show like Chain Chronicle."
The amount of character in that opening felt like a cramp, and it was true. Felt like they really squished a lot of plot into one episode each week. To be fair, I'm not really bothered by that; it's just that... why? You know.
OST/SFX
They didn't miss. The song is actually really calming. Both OP and ED sounded really relaxing and really captured the tone of a distant future.
And for the SFX in the anime itself, Two Thumbs Up!
Animation
Gorgeous. Absolutely stunning.
I believe I don't need to explain much on this. P.A. Works still maintains its charming animation and is always shown in its anime.
VA
Great. I don't have many complaints or nitpicks either. So, Two Thumbs Up for the VA.
The conclusion;
The good
Well, I'm glad at least I witnessed this for free on YouTube. Thanks, Tropics, for uploading this to your channel.
The bad
I need to keep going! There are still some OG anime from PA that I really want to see.
Graditute
Once again, thanks to Tropics Anime Asia for providing this anime free to watch on your channel. Hope your channel gets more eyes on. You guys are doing great.
Bonus
Also, I never thought I would see a TG scene in this series. Amoru possessing Yoiyami is probably the highlight of this anime for me. Like, holy heck, I love that scene.
Overall 6.6/10
Not a bad watch, but also not great either.

When people said it has a similar story to Overlord, they were not kidding. I love this anime as much as I like Overlord.
And to add to the mix, it's not just the average isekai where the protagonist still has the same gender when they are transported or reincarnated. I like it even more.
How did I find this?
People talking about it online say it's the next Overlord. Of course, I'll take the bait. I love Overlord, especially the world-building aspect of the series.
Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?)
Well... You guys know that I love possession stories, yeah? Especially when evil is inside the
...
pure good or vice versa. Yeah, same situation here. I like it when the male MC turns into a female. I'm curious how the author handles the character interaction with their new body, you know?
Platform
Catchplay and Crunchyroll. *Sigh* Welp, I'm sailing the sea then.
The review;
Plot/Story
A boy offered to do a new challenge "level" after his character got defeated in a game he played. Turns out he got summoned to the world of the game inside his character in-game, which is an overpowered winged woman. Not only that, he got informed that he was summoned 200 years after his character died. The point of this series is to find another "player" in the world.
Hmmm...
I think I've heard that somewhere. Yup, it's exactly like Overlord, but the execution of the plot is way different. In this series, Lufus, the MC's character name, was actually exploring the world. Like, actually genuinely. In contrast, Overlord's plot was finding the "player" by conquering the world.
I like this plot more because we, the viewers, got exposed to the world and have a genuine connection with it. Plus, it's faster to find "player" this way than in Overlord.
Don't get me wrong, I do love Overlord, but the story plot was kind of slow, but here? AWLBA did an absolutely great job of making the story feel very fresh every single episode. And you know the best part is? At the end, not only to find other "players", but Lufus also has a new plan. Opening up for a new season. Don't know when that will come.
Character
Love it! Absolutely loving it!
Especially Dina. This girl has a lot of mysteries surrounding her that make me curious. I mean, I'm curious about Lufus as well because of that plot where she has memories of herself and the "player" inside of her head. But Dina, though! You know?
And other than those two, I feel like the other side characters are just there. No, really. I have absolutely no idea why the author didn't develop their characters in this season. No growth happens from them...
Well, unless we talk about the past heroes, then yeah, the main casts don't grow that much.
OST/SFX
Opening was great, but the ending though!
FLIRT FLIRT MIGI HIDARI NI FIT
FLIRT FLIRT MIGI HIDARI NI FIT
FLIRT FLIRT MIGI HIDARI NI FIT
Ugh, that's really catchy as heck, man. And also;
JAA DOCHI DOCHI DOCHI GA II
I couldn't stop singing it so much.
Other than that, the SFX in the anime itself was superb. I like it, so Two Thumbs Up.
Animation
I don't want to be rude, but OPM season three made this anime, and "Tojima Wants To Be a Kamen Rider" became God-like. I'm not joking! The animation here is so good compared to OPM.
Upon searching about the studio and the people who work behind it, I just have to give a round of applause.
You know why? This studio, WAO, has some anime that I've never heard of before. That said something. Usually, I have heard or even seen anime from different studios. Without counting Mecha-Ude (which is an indie studio), this is the first studio that I've discovered *ehem* in the wild, and I genuinely like it. LOL
Might want to check them out sometime.
VA
Great! I don't think I need to say much, so Two Tumbs Up!
The conclusion;
The good
I finally found another gendbend anime that wasn't an H, dude! I'm so happy.
The bad
I have to resist! I have to resist the urge to read the source material. I want to experience this series through the anime. Oh, god, please help me!
Overall, 8.4/10
Recommended for people who enjoy world-building anime that also have a gender bender theme.

Going straight to the point, I'm disappointed with the ending. Like straight up.
It doesn't feel like an ending at all; it felt like the end of an arc, but the author didn't know how to continue it, which made me believe it was the reason.
I see you ask, "Tim, you give this manga a recommended series. If you dislike the ending, shouldn't you choose mixed feelings or not recommended?"
To answer that, let's go to the review now.
Oh, wait, before that!
How did I find this?
After my venture reading Beat and Motion, I searched for another ongoing romance series on Manga Plus. This is one of many
...
listed reads that I really wanted to read.
Appealing (Why did I get into the manga?)
I really like the art style.
And I'm going in blind.
Never heard any praise or talk points beyond the MAL forum and the comment section of the series. Of course, this made me curious as to why it had fewer fans.
Platform
Manga Plus. Beyond that, I had no idea.
The Review
Story/plot
Simple love between an artist and another artist. The boy likes to draw, the girl likes to sculpt. They find love because they appreciate each other's art, and they are very passionate about their hobby.
You'd think this would lead to a story when they are adult, right? This is a perfect series to go beyond High School and university/college. The author definitely could go beyond the likes of ups and downs when they do their business together.
Nope! They ended abruptly. I thought there would be a wedding scene or, at least, a honeymoon scene. But nooooooo.
But here is the thing, folks. The journey to that bad ending was very nice. I love the series so much, and it made my artistic side fire up.
Illustration
As I said, I like the art. I don't really need to glaze it too much, tbh. You can see it for yourself when you have the time to read it.
Characters
THIS! Both male and female leads felt like the male and female leads from "Beat and Motion". Which is why I love this series so much; they are really soulmates. It felt like their bond would never be broken.
Their growth and development are fantastic. I'd praised it more, but felt like I would take up space in this review, so I won't.
Proportions of the manga
Not too bad, so Two Thumbs Up.
The conclusion;
The good
I'm glad I got to read another of this type of romance. It really heals my heart seeing more stories doesn't make an excuse to extend it like Rent-a-Girlfriend, or Mistake (Indonesian Webtoon)
The bad
Again, stop with the abrupt ending! You, publishers, should give a series a chance to have a proper ending as Webtoon does for their Indonesian series.
Gratitude
Thanks, Manga Plus, for providing this manga to read. I appreciate it.
Overall 7.7/10
Just because of that ending, I won't put it above 8.

I forgot to review this movie before season 3 of the show aired. I didn't even realize that this was on Muse Asia at the time. I was just hyped about the 3rd season and forgot that this exists.
Thanks for the reminder, Muse Asia. I appreciate it!
I never once reviewed the two seasons before, so I'm going to combine all of my reviews in this movie review.
How did I find this?
I recall hearing about a collaboration series that was going to be aired soon, and I was curious. Turns out it was four of my favorite isekai series combined into one.
Appealing (Why did I get
...
into the anime?)
For the first season, I was captured by the concept of this collab series.
.
Then the second, I was so hype that Shield Hero joined the show. I mean, let's be honest here, Shield Hero is literally Isekai Quartet in a nutshell. All four heroes were summoned from different Japan. That's literally Isekai Quartet! But I got disappointed because Motoyasu, Ren, and Itsuki aren't here. I reaaallly wanted to see them pee their pants, especially Motoyasu. 😂
.
After that, the movie!
I was going in blind. I didn't expect much of it. I was already deep into the series anyway, might as well watch it, right? Thankfully, Muse Asia provides the movie, FOR FREE! Thanks, guys, I love you guys sooo much. 😭
Platform
I remember seeing season one on Muse Asia, but it's not there anymore. Huh? Their license must have expired. Season 2 and the movie are still there, though.
Other than Muse, it is also on Aniplus Asia, Crunchyroll, Animate Gamer Taiwan, and Netflix Japan. I just gathered information from the news on the MAL page for each season. I don't know if these are all accurate, so I'm sorry if I sounded like spreading misinformation.
The review;
Plot/Story
As the title suggests, YES! Four worlds collided into one. That's literally it. If you're a fan of all of the IP, then you'll have a great time watching it. That's for sure!
But in this movie? Oh boy, you'll be surprised. They actually went hard with the story. They literally expanded the dimension. The lore basically is as follows. There are lots of dimensions in this universe, and some are stuck in the ordinary world, like in seasons one and two, while others are stuck in this lone world. The story in the movie basically suggested that there is one character from Konosuba, one from Re: Zero, and one from Tanya the Evil, while from the Overlord world were the golems, stuck in this lone world.
The main cast of the show accidentally got suck into the lone world and figured out what's going on with this weird world system.
I was actually impressed that they took the time to add lore to this show. I never thought that it could work, and the story would just be fine with these characters from their series interacting with one another. But they said, hold my beer and actually make an actual good lore from this movie while still poke fun at the characters' interaction.
Great job, Studio PuYUKAI. Never thought you guys would do it.
(Not a spoiler, but just a warning. This movie is actually important for season 3, believe it or not. YES! It picked up where they are when the movie ended.)
Character
If you have watched these series, you know them already. They are one-to-one with the character from their perspective series.
Besides that, the new characters added to the movie are also awesome. I love how the character from Tanya the Evil is the main focus of this movie. It was so funny considering that in her... his... I forgot that Tanya is a man stuck in a girl's body. What should I call Tanya? You know what, let's just call Tanya, she/her.
Yeah, her series was the only series from this Quartet that hasn't gotten a season two. They expanded her world in this movie more than in her own series. 😂
OST/SFX
Divine!
Holy sh*t, they're cooking hard. I swear, man, this is just a silly little series, right? Why go so hard?
You guys didn't need to, but you did it anyway.
Animation
Some probably think that, when looking at the chibi art style, it won't look good.
Guess what? They went hard, especially on the movie.
If you are a fan of any of these series, you are missing out.
VA
They are all fantastic. The fact that the studio stays true to the OG VA is great. The VAs are all enjoying their time talking and dissing each other. I mean, just listen to the KonoSuba crew's VA. They are having a blast with their voice. Listen to Ainz and Albedo; they are also fantastic. Like, OMG, I can't stop praising this series to the core.
The conclusion;
The good
Go watch it if you haven't, you are missing out, because just look at me! I'm having a blast.
The bad
I still wish they did the series justice. I swear, like I mean: airing an episode only for 12 minutes? That's a crime! And just 12 episodes each season? Why not do more? 😭
Gratitude
Well, I wish they had bought back the licence for seasons one and bought season three, but other than that, thanks for providing the movie for free to watch on YouTube, Muse Asia. I appreciate the kindness.
Overall, 8.5/10...
Actually, let me recalibrate.
Season 1: 8.7/10
Season 2: 8.5/10
Movie: 8.9/10
Great for the quartet fans. I recommend the movie a lot.

Finally caught up with the last episode, thanks to Muse Asia's scheduling problem.
Thanks, guys. Very cool. 😒
Anyway, without further ado, let's just get on with this review.
How did I find this?
Like I said in the "Shy Hero and The Assassin Princesses" review, I wanted to watch more anime; therefore, I watched this because it aired on Muse Asia.
Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?)
I read the synopsis and was immediately interested in how the author would make this story interesting. In my mind, after reading the synopsis, "That was boring, but felt like SOL, so I'll give it a try."
Oh boy, now I can
...
safely say, yes, this is my type of anime. I like a SOL, action, comedy anime, and this captures all three into one. Basically, my comfort anime.
Platform
Muse Asia with the 3-week delay (Thanks, guys), Animax Korea, Bahamut Taiwan, Bilibili Asia, Catchplay (I really need to try this website for real, how the freak I missed this again), Crunchyroll, iQiyi, and MeWatch Singapore.
The review;
Plot/Story
A semi-powerful mage was sent to another royal place to teach that royal daughter to make her better at doing magic.
That was the gist of it, but it turned into just the MC, Allen, who involved himself with all of the royalty in that castle. Not just that royal, but also other royals in his journey.
I know people probably going to assume I'm a P-word or something along those lines because I like this anime, but I never saw it that way! You see, this is ENTERTAINMENT, and not reality. I watch it just for fun, nothing more than that. I also weirded out when Tina kissed Allen, but the thing is, I can brush that thought out of my mind immediately and think, "Yeah, whatever." Unlike many others, I just want to enjoy my slice of life story.
Character
They were interesting.
I'm just going to say I do have a complaint about some of the characters in this show, but overall really just enjoy their interaction with each other. Nothing more, nothing less.
OST/SFX
Love the OP and ED. It's not the best of the season, but I still enjoy listening to it.
OST and SFX on the anime itself really... ehm... IDK how to say it, but it's not too decent. It is good, but leaning toward bad, since the music really was not balanced with the great SFX. I think they need more practice in this department.
That's my opinion at least, it might be just me, but like, I don't get to enjoy the OST much more than the SFX. No offence here, just stating opinion.
Animation
Watchable.
Or what people called it MID! lol
I don't want to judge it too harshly because I'll just be honest here, their 3D animations are actually gorgeous. It's just that, with the mix of 2D, it was weird.
Look, I have never even seen any anime from Studio Blanc, but I can see their potential in their 3D animation department.
VA
Just gonna give my Two Thumbs up!
The conclusion;
The good
Glad I watched it. Hope I can watch another anime from this studio.
The bad
I need to know. Is Allen going to be with Lydia? I don't want to add more to my Manga/LN readlist, I just need to know this!
Graditude
The messed-up scheduling aside, thanks for providing this anime for free to watch on YouTube, Muse Asia. Appreciated the effort you put in here.
Overall 6.8/10
Not the best SOL, Action anime I've ever seen, but a great time well spent indeed.

Finally! After years of delaying, I finally finished this anime... Well, the season 1 at least. I've been interested in this anime for a while and really want to watch it. Just want to say thank you to Muse Asia for the re-upload of this anime. I'm so happy you guys bought the license back, so that people like me can watch it easily on YouTube. You guys are doing god-works.
How did I find this?
I saw a lot of clips roaming around YouTube when this was aired. There are a lot of complaints, but also Karin's clip. Yup! That's the ticket for me to get
...
curious about this anime.
Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?)
At first glance, it was Karin's design.
But when I watch some of the episodes, my interest quickly changes to the communication between characters. I love this kind of storytelling where we, the viewers, are also involved in the conversation. I know! The girl, Iwanaga, is so talkative; people have mixed feelings about her, but her talking is so important, unlike a certain red-haired b*tch that got a remake anime this year.
Platform
I watched it on Muse Asia. It is also available on Crunchyroll and Animax Asia.
The review;
Plot/Story
A girl was sacrificed, but was reborn to become the "goddess" of the spirit. There is also a boy who is not really human because he ate the flesh of 2 yokais and became immortal. Together, they try to fight an evil being with their power.
That's basically it. I don't really want to spoil too much, so I let you watch it yourself. Bear in mind! This has a lot of mixed reviews because of how annoying the main girl, Iwanaga, is. I mean, I talked about it just before. The main reason it got mixed reviews was also that there will be a couple of episodes where the main characters just... sit and talk... Like a lot...
Yeah, it's hard to promote this, but trust me! It's not like Anne Shirley, where she just blabbers nonsense that no one cares about. Iwanaga's talking points are all important for you to understand her point of view.
Character
It's decent.
Well, I said that, but here is the thing. Throughout the series, at least in the first season, both Kuro (the male MC) and Iwanaga only have character development at the beginning of the series. After that, they mostly just fight Karin. No, I'm not joking.
When I thought about it, I get why some people dislike the structure and the pacing of this anime, but I found it intriguing and engaging. We literally get to see how these people's minds work. We get to see how they are making decisions, take those decisions, and execute them. It is so much fun to watch.
Though I have to say there is a little problem with that. I'll talk about it in more detail later in the animation section.
OST/SFX
The OP and ED are soooo good! I love how jazzy the ED. I love the OP more than I thought now, since I watched season one of the anime in full.
The OST and SFX in the anime itself are also great! There isn't any complaint, so I'm just going to give it Two Thumbs up.
Animation
Ahhh....
How do I say this...
Mid? Lol.
See, here is the thing. This anime would be insanely great... if it weren't an anime. There are a lot of reused scenes, still images, and panning with no reason. You know why? They spend mostly on a fully stopped car to battle one foe. I kid you not. It would be more pleasing if this were an audiobook.
And this is where that little problem comes into play. I hate how half of the season, there aren't many animations other than the Kuro fight scene with Karin. It felt quite cheap if you asked me. I would much rather watch this if it were animated in Anne Shirley's style of animation. It is more pleasing to watch. Not gonna lie... Could these two anime trade? I want Anne Shirley to get out of her own anime and replace it with Iwanaga, but also change the animation on In/Spectre with Anne Shirley's animation. 😂
Who am I kidding? These two anime didn't even have the same genre; there is no way that it could happen. 🤣
VA
Such a waste of talent.
Like I said, Iwanaga was the only one who talked a lot; even the enemy didn't talk that much.
No, wait! Let me fix that!
Even Kuro, THE MC, didn't talk a lot. Yes! The MC, ladies and gentlemen. The star of the show didn't talk much. What he did was just fight and groan in pain. 😂
The conclusion;
The good
I enjoyed it a lot.
The bad
What should I say here? I already talked about my point in my review. Hopefully, the 2nd season gets better.
Gratitude
Thanks, Muse Asia, for providing this anime for free to watch on YouTube. Always love seeing anime like this on YouTube.
Overall 7.9/10
Great, wish there were a lot more in season 1. But oh well! Let's move on to season 2!
