I binged this anime a day before it's final episode aired because of it's ending. I had seen this anime quite a fair bit around social media and how people are in suspense over it's ending that it really made me interested in watching it.
Initially, the art style seemed kind of weird to me because of the shape of the characters and how it included some real life elements in it' such as in the background scenery. However, it has grown on me because of how simple it is. The shapes and lines that makes up the people and objects in this anime does
...
a great job in accentuating the colours, making everything look bright and vibrant despite having a relatively simple art style. The art style is actually a blend of Koji Kumeta's drawing and Shaft's animation. Think of a mix between Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei (one of his other works) and the Monogatari series. I liked the sound, the opening and ending felt really retro and I just loved the nostalgic vibe it gave.
Characters wise, I would kind of say Hime and Kakushi are a great father daughter duo. Their relationship just screams wholesome vibes everywhere and I felt a sense of admiration towards Kakushi for the sacrifices he makes for Hime and the things he does to protect and love his daughter.
For the story, most of it is actually a comedic slice of life kind of thing. Each episode follows some gag in Kakushi's job (usually involving his attempt to hide his job) with a sad/worrying foreshadowing of the ending. The problem I had with this anime was that the foreshadowing was too "overdone". By that I mean it just makes me worry so much that it's always at the back of my mind and it kind of gets in the way of the ability to truly enjoy a happy or wholesome scene because you know something messed up is going to happen. The final episode is where everything goes down and I got to say, I was a little bit disappointed at it because it was not what I thought it was. But, I think for the good of the show, it was best that it was not. Regardless, it was still emotional and the last few scenes gave me a huge sense of relief and satisfaction.
Overall, I would rate this anime a solid 8/10. It was denied a 10 because of the over emphasis of the foreshadowing that kind of interfered with my ability to enjoy it. Everything else was decent though but neither was it anything remarkable. The art style is a first for me and I think not being creeped out by it is already good enough. I would definitely recommend this to people who are looking for their next slice of life anime or a starting anime if you want to binge Shaft's other works. If your're looking for something heartwarming or want to reminisce about the days your dad carried you from the car to the sofa when you fell asleep in the car, this is the anime to watch.

I had recently rewatched this season after watching it back in 2016. This first season of My Hero Academia is short but it introduces the main characters and villains of the series. To me, it felt that the story was kind of dragged out but this season just serves to introduce us to the world, with little emphasis on any long term arc or plot. Hence, the characters and world was not really well developed or explained. Despite this, it was good enough to get me hooked on the series. Since then, I did not watch any episodes of the anime but instead read the

manga weekly. The "final" but technically first major fight of the series was awesome and I loved the final punch that All Might delivered was the best. All in all, this season did a great job in piquing my interest for this series. The first time I watched this, I started to read the manga. The second time I watched this, well hopefully I can get started on the seasons soon. :D

I'm not speechless or anything, but I really have no words to describe this film. I have very little opinion over this anime film. As expected from Makoto Shinkai, the animation quality is superb despite it being kind of old. The music was great and I liked some of the songs used during certain parts of the film. Story wise, the film was simple and easy to understand, however there was nothing really remarkable about it to me. At times, it felt dull but I think this was one of the film's best features. it's simplicity and calmness is something to be appreciated, there is
...
no large climax but just a tale of two friends separated by one another through distance and time. It is similar to Your Name and I would not be surprised if that film had drawn some sort of inspiration from it. In the end, I have very little opinion over this film. It is like a plain biscuit with a few specks of salt sprinkled over it. Simple, classic and elegant.

Oh boy, it's time to give this a review. Now where do I even begin?
Firstly, I would like to say that the art in this anime was amazing. Granted this came out in 2016, a time where anime of the Your Name level of quality was possible. However, it was not really common outside of films. Erased had a great quality of animation, the colours used were able to convey the emotions of the scene they were in. The animation was fluid at certain parts such as the truck accident during the first episode. The weird Doctor Strange kind of mirror dimension thing was great
...
during the segments where Satoru was experiencing revival. It looked kind of familiar to when the phantoms from Noragami are killed. This level of quality was consistent throughout the show with little to no degradation. The whole series played out in this kind of windowed cinema view which I had no problems with. This kind of thing really help to emphasized the serious nature of the show and was able to keep the story pretty linear between the episodes. The sound quality was also good and I had no problems with it. I liked the opening which was what made me watch it as I discovered this anime in the comments section of Re:Re.
The characters were interesting to say the least. Satoru was a good protagonist, a man driven to do good in order to fix his regret over not doing anything in the past despite being a nobody in the present day. I liked the children too, Hinazuki and Kenya had sense of refinement and maturity to them which is not that unrealistic for 11 year olds as they kind of start to have proper thoughts by that age. The adults were great too. Sachiko, Yashiro and Sawada were portrayed as competent adults in the story and I had grown to be fond for that aspect of them, thinking they would be responsible for serving justice. Cough Cough.
However, the story is the thing that gets me about this show. Everything was great until episode 10. For some reason, the ending was rushed so bad that it nearly made me hate this show. It felt sloppy and the story ends with Satoru being in a certain state of time and physical condition which felt ridiculous to me because the reason was that something stopped working. I expected him to just dig up some shit with Sawada and just sue the shit out of the killer but woops, that did not happen. A lot of people complained about the romance, but I never really felt that it was that important to the flow of the story, but rather something that served to complement it and helped iron out the interactions between Hinazuki and Satoru. Big F for getting cucked though. What vexes me was the relationship between Satoru and the killer. The last episode tried to be all dramatic and depict some kind of cheap, fake, third rate Batman and Joker criminal vs hero kind of I can't live without you cat and mouse relationship. It just seemed to overly dramaticized the climax which already kind of sucked given the nature of the circumstances it was set in. So overall, bad ending and climaxing part. Great introduction and middle detective stuff though
To conclude, Erased was not a bad anime. It was close to being the best anime that I had watch. But alas no anime can exist without any flaws and Erased got nerfed so hard by it's ending. Overall, I think i would rate this a 10/12 given how good the episodes were and how shit the ending was. So that comes out to about 85% which I'll just round down to an 8/10. Would I recommend this? Maybe. But I'd tell the person watching it to drop it after episode 10.

I found this anime to be quite good. I loved the art, the colours are vibrant and the shapes are sharp. The overall plot of the anime was interesting to say the least. I had not watched anything quite like it, especially in the slice of life/romance genre this anime appears to be of. The main plot of the anime was to be able to get Menma to heaven by fulfilling a certain wish. The initial focus was on Jintan's romantic feelings for Menma with his desire to discover and fulfil her wish but it slowly shifted towards the internal conflicts and feelings of each

of the 5 characters. Personally, I welcome this shift as it really dug deep into the core of each character and it provided an opportunity for the show to cover them and express them as much as they could. The last few episodes were a great way to end the anime with a farewell to Menma and the reunion of old and once broken friendships. It made me shed a tear and I could relate to the struggles of the characters as well. Other than that, the opening and ending were great. The ending was what made me pick up this show in the first place. My only problem with the show was that it had several tiny plot holes here and there and like why couldn't Menma or Jintan just be honest from the start and revealed there was a ghost in the first place. That part kind of bugged me and half of the episodes could have just been skipped altogether. Overall, despite those plot holes, I found the story to be quite well integrated and meaningful so it will have to fall just short of a masterpiece :')

This anime is possibly the funniest anime I have ever watched. Each episode is split into a few skits where we follow their characters as they go about doing wacky things in their pastimers club. It was so funny that every skit had me laughing, it had my kids laughing, it had my grandkids laughing. It was just the best. The humor isn't corny or intelligent but simply bathroom jokes taken to the extreme and that is what I love about it. You do not really have to cringe or try very hard to understand what is going on and because of this, everyone is

sure to enjoy it. Unless you aren't really into this kind of thing. As for the characters, they're pretty interesting with each of the main cast having their distinct personality and quirks. In particular, I really enjoyed Hina Kino's voice acting of Hanako, her ability to just convey the emotions of her as well as that perfect scream was spectacular. I would definitely rate the sound and voice acting a 10. The only thing I have to nitpick is the art as many bright colours were used and there was not much contrast between objects within the show, this made it kind of difficult to discern certain things and some details were lost. Overall, this is hands down the best comedy anime I have every watched, good jokes, good sound and quite a enjoyable watch in general.

I happened to chance on this anime as I was browsing through a anime opening playlist on YouTube. What caught my attention was the fortnite dance they did and so I decided to watch it. In my opinion, I'd say its kind of an average comedic anime. The humor is mainly targeted towards adults with the central theme of a office rat race 9-5 kind of lifestyle. I do not know to what extent it is representative of the Japanese working culture. The characters were pretty decent, I liked lizard the most out of them. I liked the cuts in the middle which featured the

characters doing whack things using rotoscope. Frankly, I wished I could have seen more of that during the episodes. Overall, the comedy felt average to me but I would say it's mostly because I'm not really in the target audience.
