To be honest I got addicted to this anime from a trailer I saw. And I am proud to admit I don't regret buying the boxset.

Initial D Is set in Mount Akina during the mid 90's. The basic outline of the story follows Takumi Fuikawa and his delve into the drift race scene. After a while of thinking driving was just driving he begins to enjoy racing and begins to get excited by the rush. This is one series that I particularly enjoyed.
