Somewhat engaging but overall cliche' and unimaginative.
Firstly, the title. Yes, while it's at most a nitpick it still irks me. It's called "7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy!" at least translated in English. The only aspect of the title that even remotely describes the series is "7th Time Loop". I get it's just marketing but, the protagonist is in no way a villainess.
There were some reviews calling it "best villainess anime" or "best villainess protagonist", which even if she was a really well written character (she most definitely isn't), it is entirely inaccurate as the anime
...
does not follow the Otome game/novel plot in any way, nor does she resemble or is put in a situation where she could ever be called a villainess. Honestly, not much of fan of the entire genre, mostly because the villainess is usually just the standard heroine masquerading as a villain, or even just for some reason (actually it's usually the other girl who is supposed to be the heroine of the Otome game, the irony I know) misrepresented in the plot as the 'bad guy'. I suppose that is the only thing resembling a villainess plot in the story is the beginning where her engagement is annulled by the purposefully 2d and cartoonish prince. It's unintendedly a parody of the genre at this point.
Nevertheless, the actual plot is I think interesting, or at least had the potential to be. Obviously the time loop thing has been done before, yet I still enjoy the idea. However, all the time travel is used for in the anime is a device to justify the female lead's increasingly boring character.
Her personality is the stock-standard, as far as heroine's go. Again, I've seen reviews acting as if she is in any way well-written or even unique, which if you even just dip your toes into the genre you would seen find is utter nonsense. Her appeal, I believe was intended to be her cool factor (which I didn't think she had much of anyway), however even that is lost halfway through the show. I would enjoy a character who was actually cool, but she just isn't. She is perfect, much too perfect. She knows how to do everything and is fawned over by every male character in the show. That is standard harem bullshit that is very prevalent within the romance genre, both shoujo and shounen. It is also something I could ignore if she had at least one interesting flaw or viewpoint, but again, she doesn't. The ML I did enjoy more, at least at first. His opening scene was pretty bad-ass. However, as the show goes on, he just starts to fall into the usual shoujo-man archetype. He is presented as being dangerous, but he is ever only shown to be overly nice. And every flaw that he apparently has is ever only stated by others, such as his cruelty in war and ect. Actually, he himself is his biggest critic (I release it is done on purpose to show his lack of self-esteem, but seriously, what anime character doesn't have low-self esteem?) I cannot remember the exact words but he says something like, "I've even killed those dear to me", which okay? When is that ever shown? (besides his father, who he obviously did not view as dear to him) There is not a hint of moral-ambiguity presented in his character (besides the opening scene, which yes was pretty cool).
Lastly, the romance. I do like the genre a lot, that's why I chose to watch it, however it left me mostly disappointed. All the FL does is push her own idea of who the ML is onto him. It makes it come off as ungenuine. Instead of asking "why do you feel this way about yourself?", she just says something akin to "No, you're not like that." I find it demeaning and rather boring. That's it. The idea of the brooding man and woman who helps him to love himself is one that has been done thousands of times across the genre, however it isn't executed well to any degree. There is just no heart in it, and I think that is the most important thing in a romance.

This only has nine chapters out, as the time I'm reading it, so it's sort of hard to rate, but I think it has potential. It's had some pretty cute moments, and so far hasn't had any annoying drama.
It sort of has similar vibes as The Dangers in My Heart (though if you haven't somehow read or watched that, then most certainly do that first)
The premise is something I've seen a couple times, most notably to me was in, Fujiyama-san wa Shishunki. The main characters have potential, they aren't terribly cliche, but I think they need a little more. Though I'm not expecting it to
...
be amazing, it is quite cute.
(I'm pretty lenient when it comes to scores)

I put this at mixed feelings not because I think that it is poorly written, but because it's a bit strange- for a romance manga. If you seen the author's other works, most notably "The Girl I like Forgot Her Glasses", and you liked that and wanted something like it, then stop and go read something else. This is very different from that, I'm not sure if the author usually writes in this way, because, I only saw the anime for the first title (haven't gotten around to finishing the manga). However, the character writing in this actually surprised me. In a lot of romances
...
the characters can be a bit stagnant at times. I think for a cute romance it isn't a necessity have really deep characters, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much the two main characters grow in this, especially the ML. That said, overall the story had a more "realistic" tone. I don't usually like when stories try to be as realistic as possible, because it is often at the expense of the story, yet I think the character writing and dynamic between the two leads saved it a bit for me. As a warning, I will say the ending made me feel a bit conflicted- a tad bittersweet. But it didn't go the full mile of making a needlessly sad ending and I felt left their relationship at a promising note. Meaning I don't think that their was a "goodbye" mentality, if you get what I mean.

This is a very horny manga, but I think it is worth reading. Don't except a wholesome romance (though I do love wholesome romances) . There is a decent amount of drama. Most of the drama isn't bad, however it can be annoying at times. That said I really enjoyed the manga, and I think the two main characters are quite unique. There is also actual progress, although the manga isn't finished yet. To elaborate when I say horny, I don't mean that it is simply an ecchi- rather the main character is just a little bit perverted; however I honestly enjoyed that part of
...
her character. The dude is a hard-ass, but I think that makes him more unique and funny to watch.
If this is your one of your first romances (don't know how it would be, as it is somewhat obscure) I would recommend reading others first, as this is not what you usually get.

Never before have I genuinely regretted reading a manga- that is until I read this.
If you feel down and want to read a romance manga, look else well. There are cute romances that will light up your day- I recommend reading those instead of this abomination of a story.
I think entertainment is supposed to be in a way an escape from reality. Though most stories provide nuance on life, I would say this is a manga that only manages to tell you that everything in your life is worthless. The theme provides anything but nuance. It is not the worst written thing I have
...
ever read- far from it; however this manga truly disgusted me and because of that I cannot recommend this to anyone because I am not an evil sadist.

So I have read other works by this author (well, I suppose only one other manga); so I expected a specific style. They most certainly have a darker style of writing so you should expect that with this manga.
That said, this is absolutely great. Though I suppose be warned, it is highly depressing. If you want something wholesome, or just don't like reading sad things, I suggest maybe not reading it (though I really think you should). I enjoyed the entire manga thoroughly. I think it is very well-written, despite it's somewhat devious premise. The characters are developed and entertaining, and the story as a
...
whole I think is very worth your time. It has a nice theme and is overall something you can binge in a day.

This manga has some annoying drama. If you haven't read that many shoujo, don't read this. I have read many romance manga and this thing still annoyed me. That said, I honestly enjoyed a lot of it, and towards the end, I thought it tackled some interesting subjects. The main girl, to be honest I thought was sort of funny, yet someone generic. However, I actually liked her a lot more towards the end of the manga (literally the last couple of chapters). That said, the main male character, I would say had the opposite effect on me. I think he was an interesting character
...
and I can't say he was exactly poorly written, I just don't think the ending portrayed him to be that great of a person. All in all it was a fun read, though I honestly think you have to be somewhat of a masochist to finish it, as the last couple of chapters have some insane drama.
