I would love for there to be a sequel since I feel like there is so much left to uncover. The characters are their own people, with unique personalities that don't seem copy-pasted and all the emotional moments actually have weight because of this. When there is a serious scene/conflict between multiple characters, it comes naturally and not because it is some plot point envisioned by the storyteller. The characters actually develop throughout the story, and even if the MC is (for all intents and purposes) OP, there's a limiter like Mob Psycho 100 where he doesn't want to cross that else the darkness will ... consume him.

The manga started out strong with the character introductions and every character was likeable and realistic. However, character design can only take the story so far if the actual plot points don't hold water. Since the last two chapters, the story has kind of come to a crawl with nothing meaningful actually happening. For reference, the rating after reading the first two chapters was 8, because I loved the premise and wanted to see how this would unfold. But as the story is progressing, the characters, which initially attracted me, seem really hollow and one-dimensional with bog-standard reactions to everything. Furthermore, there isn't really any ... conflict in the story at this point in time to evolve them past this state.

I'll keep reading since I am invested in the characters enough to see what happens next, but if the characters weren't likeable at first glance, the story wouldn't be enough for me to keep reading.

Story: A fluffy romance story with honest characters which deals with recovery from domestic violence. I like how the main couple is honest and understand each-other with supportive side-characters. Age-gap romance stories usually use the tag to lure people and when they finally become a couple, the whole premise is thrown away in favour of a more generic romance drama/comedy. However, this is different, the story has remained nuanced on the age-gap thing so far and seeing how the story is being followed up, I hope for it to remain so.

Art: Generic. Good. But, generic. The emotions are portrayed well but the panels are discontinuous ... at times with movement and lead to a jarring experience.

Character: If every romance manga had such characters, there would be no story. They're straightforward, honest in the right amount, and interesting enough for the reader to get invested in. I didn't get annoyed at any of them, even the antagonist. They don't bore you with lengthy dialogues but say enough to give themselves a personality.

Enjoyment: Loved the manga. Nothing more to say.

Overall: I have only positive things to say about the manga as a whole. I'll recommend this to anyone looking for a romantic comedy/drama and with good leads and an interesting story. It might come off as generic sometimes when it tries to incorporate certain tropes, but is an interesting read overall. I personally wasn't able to put it down until I got to the latest update, and I'm (almost) certain that I'll be following this till the end.

This was a good story destroyed by the author's personal feelings about his manga getting cancelled and the later chapters were spent venting about his personal issues through the characters of this manga rather than following the original storyline and doing the things natural for the characters he had built.

The female lead was, from the beginning, a little easygoing and misunderstanding certain things; but it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that I had hopes for the male lead but these were shattered when his innocent persona led to downright annoying misunderstandings and spoiler alert, there is no feeling of resolve at the end of ... the manga. It is left at an open ending and the situation of both the leads have substantially worsened compared to how they were at the start.

TL;DR: The story becomes totally unrelated to the characters in the later chapters due to the author's personal gripe about this manga being axed and so he dedicated the final chapters to portray his resentment while dumping the original plot and rushing a poor ending. I recommend you don't waste your time by reading this.

This is a surprisingly wholesome story of two college students getting drunk and ending up in a situation which leads to their subsequent marriage. Spoiler: It is not pregnancy.

There are misunderstandings but nothing in the level that would make the story a annoying or a pain to read. The misunderstandings are innocent and the kindness of both the male and female protagonists make it such that there is no escalation and that those are resolved peacefully. In short, the characters don't disappoint.

The only minor nitpick would be an accidental grope in a later chapter but it is nothing major and is played as a joke. ... Another spoiler: The story has no traces of NTR and the characters are wholeheartedly devoted to each-other. There is no room for doubt about that.

This may drive people away due to the incestuous title. Trust me it is anything but. This is the story of the girl and the boy from different families bonded by the marriage of their parents.

Unfortunately, both of their parents die shortly after. The rest of the story is about how the two kids support each-other through the years. Revealing any more about the story might be spoiling it so I'll end here with some vague words.

The plot has the pacing of a coming-of-age story but surprisingly has the thrill level of a slice-of-life. Give it a shot and it might just captivate you.

"Heartbreaking, captivating, bittersweet..."

To put into words, the manga depicts the bittersweet story of families, told through the younglings, their romance and relationships. At times, things turn really sad but it is so much contrasted by the characters' resolve that you are captivated to keep on reading for their sake, to find out how they deal with it.

The story tackles the psychological topics of mental illness, volatile relationships, sisterly relations, family and student life. The reactions of the characters to the situations are intriguing to follow while also preserving reality as much as possible.

The manga goes through the lengths of love to heartbreak, the happiness of ... birth to despair of separation, and to the sorrow of death to tell the interweaving story of how hope can shape the lives of people who have lost everything to keep on living.

Brother tries to bring back his non-blood-related sister with him so that he can support her, but she does not want to be a burden on him so she repeatedly goes back to the uncle's house who is a drunkard (the aunt is a good person though) drowned in debt for his drinking habits and tries to sell the sister to clear his debts.

This is my impression from the scanlated chapters (3, in English).

The story could make for a very intriguing one where siblings defy odds and surpass all the barriers that people around them pose, but no, the author had to make it into ... some cliche story. Mind me, there's nothing wrong with being cliche. The problem lies within that it tries to follow a bad cliche to attract attention of viewers but falls flat on its back when the epilogue to every major arc is brought up.

I would have liked it if the sister wasn't so defying of her brother and tried to support him at least. I feel bad for the brother who worked his ass off to save so much only to have his sister disrespect his efforts. The storyline makes the brother only a muscle-brained maniac that will fight for his sister and a sister that refuses to acknowledge her brother's efforts. Plus the subtle non-blood-related sibling love trope, which is very poorly incorporated into the story and doesn't blend well with the overall premise.

I don't know what the author was thinking after the outrage that led to the prequel being axed (or that he stopped it himself, who knows), he tried to introduce another character into this sequel and steered clear of adults and controversial plotlines.

As a reader of the prequel, I'd be thrilled to read this if not for the dampening chemistry between the main protagonists of the previous story. As a matter of fact, what actually made Koneko Hiroimashita unique was the chemistry between the male protagonist and the elementary (?) kid, which became more of a symbiotic relationship than just being a babysitting one. This ... sequel totally ditched all potential developments between the previous protagonists in favour of familiarizing a new character, which is not to say the story is bad but it loses its uniqueness. As a result, readers who stumble upon this story with no knowledge of the prequel wouldn't find this enjoyable.

It'd have been better as an NTR hentai and I could fap and easily get it over with. The story and characters which started with such a decent and wholesome premise took little time to go downhill further and further. The only thing that improved was the art and the coloured panels. Around chapter 136, it made me so restless that I stopped waiting for the translations and read the raws directly. And here's my short comment on everything that happened:

It is cheating and NTR, fully, no excuses, no over-estimation. With a premise where characters are in a relationship and things go awry, it's okay ... to hope for developments to happen with side characters but when they are married, it is totally unforgivable. I don't know if that sensei is just too trusting of Asami or has a really bad understanding of reality, but he is too forgiving for situations that'd lead to dire consequences in real life. I know this is fiction and doesn't really need to emulate real life scenaries, but when things take such a sharp turn that it even passes the supernatural, it is to be pointed out for simply being unaccecptable. Asami is also no less than retarded. It is during the middle section of the manga that you will find yourself unable to root for or relate to anyone. However, I still continued reading hoped that they'd change. But no, retardation can not be cured, and especially foolish couple who have nothing to do with each-other but overly kind to everyone else is just too much to cope with and nothing is to be solved. They are just to be forgotten while they are still in the darkness.

TL;DR: Wife is faithful to husband but retarded as hell so much that she can't reject other's advances to the point of almost having sex with them. The husband is an indecisive man suffering with sudden strokes of depression due to his wife's actions, but still trusts his wife too much. Both are, however, good people as the author wants to portray.

Just divorce already!

P.S.: There is, technically, still a 'happy' ending.
