At first, this anime might seem a little “sus” or maybe just unusual for some people, but once you get into it, it’s actually a really fun and lovely watch. The story follows a man who seeks happiness through his robot, who cooks meals for him. Watching their everyday life is genuinely heartwarming, and the robot’s flat-yet-sweet reactions end up being really funny and charming.
I’ll admit, the introduction of Mamoru-kun felt a little bothersome at first, since all I really wanted to see was the sweetness of this unique couple. But eventually, I let it slide and accepted his role in the story, it didn’t
...
ruin the experience for me.
As for the visuals, the animation is pretty well done. It’s not one of those cheap, flat, boring productions you see in average isekai shows. While it’s not jaw-droppingly outstanding or groundbreaking, it definitely sits comfortably in the “good quality” category.
Overall, it’s a relaxing, chill, and sweet story—perfect if you just want something light and heartwarming to enjoy.

I’ve loved this manga ever since Volume 1 came out, and honestly, I REALLY, really loved it. The soft rom-com chemistry between a robot and an average worker felt so chill and soothing to read, a perfect comfort series for me. I even rated it 10/10 on my list.
The story begins with a desperate man who just wants someone to be with. He ends up buying a “cooking rice robot” (basically a household robot). The setup feels natural, almost like how things might actually go down if this happened in real life. Of course, as time goes on, the robot starts to gain sentience, it
...
is a sci-fi story, after all. The tone is a nice blend of psychological rom-com with a touch of comedy, which was exactly what drew me in.
But then, something changed. The direction of the story started to shift. What was once a sweet rom-com marriage story slowly turned into an inter-species sci-fi drama. I get that the author wanted to expand the world and explore new ideas, but for me, it just didn’t feel right. All the build-up from zero to a wholesome relationship got overshadowed, and it lost the magic that made me fall in love with it.
It especially hit me when I read the side story in Volume 3, “My Roommate Has No Bones.” At first, I thought, “Oh, this is probably just a fun little ‘what if’ story, right? Not part of the main universe.” But nope, I was wrong. That alien character actually comes back in Volume 4, and suddenly we’re introduced to more non-robot characters. I was like, "wait, what? I thought this manga was about the sweet everyday life of a robot and a human! Why are we suddenly dealing with martians, ghosts, and even new humans who outright hate robots?" (One character literally calls Mina a piece of scrap.) From there, the story shifted into heavy drama, and honestly… I just couldn’t keep going. I REALLY fed up of this, I dropped it around chapter 30. For me, it was over.
So, for anyone planning to read this manga, here’s my recommendation:
- Read up to Volume 3 (and skip the side story).
- Volume 4 is fine until around Chapter 25, but stop there.
After that, switch to the anime, it focuses much more on the rom-com side of things, and I honestly appreciate the anime adaptation more than the manga itself.

in all honesty, this shit is so good, 10/10, about the chacacter, plot, and all, you may be found some people complaining about weird grooming, but pay them no mind, if you read most of asian works, you probably found this type of work anywhere, and all i can say is that theyre just bunch of dumbsass westerner judging works on their perspective, or maybe more typical? "ethnocentrism", search that and you will find that attributes is oftenly found in "visitor" or westerner, fuckass americans, 10/10 works
Story? Unique, really enjoy it, artstyle? very emotional, especially kishitani arc, character? top notch, not some emotionless NPC, character
...
reaction? duh, they even make detailed version of the reaction, most likely will be enjoy by others, 10/10

seeason 1 is fine, BUT season 2 is the downfall, im fine at first with the whole heavenly demon gods thingy arc until they finish the floor (it took them a whole 20 or more ch to complete ONLY 1 tower which i find absurd), then heres the main problem, the main shit that makes it feel goes nowhere, the thing that marks this manhwa downfall, the arc that REALLY SICKENING the whole life of me making me regret continuing this series, the FCKIN ROMANCE ARC, LIKE WTH IS THIS? IT TOOKS MORE THAN 30 FCKIN CHAPTER (OR EVEN MORE) TO COMPLETE THIS WHOLE ASS
...
ARC, shits is just to repetitive at this point, the direction and flow for the plot is just going entirely different from the previous season and arc, in a bad term... its just goes absolutely nowhere and i disgust with it, fckin waste of time, really tired seeing this raviel here, raviel that, nigga, im dropping this manhwa, never again will i continue reading this.
and one more thing, it feels like the author forcing this romance genre out of nowhere, sure the MC is just averange guy who never dates before, but it doesnt mean it tooks a whole long ass arc to fill them, its like. The plot of the manhwa is already about averange hunter things you could find nowadays, but this nigga author just forcing this romance genre without considering its relevancy with hunter genre, which i found is too much for this kind of romance level. Its just not fitting.
at first, i will give it around 8/10 since its actually interesting at first, but now, its just 4/10, thats it.
