Knowing Prince of Tennis, you can already expect the unrealistic games of tennis. However, this show has decidedly tried to one up itself from all the previous moves they've made before and it's too over the top.
What makes this show truly bad is it ignores years worth of Echizen's character progression for the sake of this tournament. The main focus of the original show was to show Echizen's growth as a tennis player and later his ambition to beat Tezuka. And when he finally does he becomes the new "Ace" However, this show continues this "rivarly" and ignores the previous progression.
