I am so glad to live another day to experience the continuation of this brilliant world, despite how the author is showing disinterest in continuing its legacy with their novel count, amount of content and world building they originally had in mind. It has been obvious how the characters are being dealt with in Season 4 that the end is near. Although, as we all know, the direction of the series as a whole wasn't so great since around Season 2, which I don't think the author themselves have said anything to improve or complain about it as far as I know since Overlord III,
...
which is really sad that such a wonderful novel doesn't get as much love as some Isekai's out there since the beginning, the improvements do show since Season 4 but this is nothing but the ramblings of a Light Novel worshipper. It is but a front to advertise the light novel, and we all know deep within our hearts that the ending of Overlord for all the dedicated fans throughout all these years will sink to the bottom of the pits of despair and pray for another Overlord to fill the gaps in our hearts.
(No spoilers and honestly not a great review, although you should have realised that at this point)
This arc has given me another wonderful scenario that we experienced with Momon, the Darkness Knight, alongside the Kingdom's Adamantite Party, but instead of the Corrupt Kingdom, it's the Sacred Kingdom this time with different company, and the people of focus will experience a God that they will fear, worship or despise. This movie really accumulated the aspects we love about this story, Misunderstandings, Comedy, Bold & Glazing Beyond Belief, because they don't know what's going on, but it works, and the thing I love about this is that the author knows how to make that work.
They bring a new perspective to the world, facing new races, cultures, religious and political views. All in the centre of a new Kingdom that has its own history and heroes, the Sacred Kingdom problem, which took part in the middle of Overlord IV, kinda weird but ok.
Overlord fans love this series, Web Novel, Light Novel, Manga or Anime. No matter what happens, we stand on front for all but the glory of Nazarick and Ainz Ooal Gown.
Again, with you, we shall wait for the next season to this world, ultimately waiting for the beginning of the end.
Thank you so much for spending your time reading this.

REJOICE! For you have or will be experiencing, indulging and caressing ABSOLUTE CINEMA.
The fact it is ending soon is the most vital sign of the upcoming judgement day to the absolute state of our modern society, and it saddens me, NO! It's not only me! HOW SELFISH OF ME TO EVEN GIVE THAT A THOUGHT? HOW UNSIGHTLY TO HAVE SUCH A NARROW SOLO PERCEPTION OF THIS WHOLE SITUATION!? Please, forgive me.
This masterpiece of a world has been cursed, just as Berserk animation was. Although the improvements over the god aweful animation we bled our eyes to view were something in Seasons 2-3, at least they
...
tried here. And I am ever grateful. To be fair, it's not easy to capture the magnificent stature and elegance that is Overlord. Can't really blame them entirely although a flame rages in my heart.
Am I biased? That is hard to say. Am I brainwashed? possibly. My score and glaze over Overlord stem mostly from the light novels and my ever raging inferno over what the Anime has presented. But again, I can't do anything about it. Wish I could. Is it unreasonable? yes. Is this Anime bad then? Yes and no. Won't go into detail as I am rubbish at that.
The story moves, but skips of character development and backstories are just hard to accept. Especially the crazy time skip to volume 14. Understandable for the sake of the movie and having it all in one setting. Overlord fans know that this adaptation's direction is hurtful. For anybody who picked up the books and felt the amount of hard work that went into them, and how much they weighed would understand this pain. To me, it's a mockery. This is peak world building, and I am not over exaggerating.
And, it's really obvious with how the story later on progresses that lord Maruyama Kugane is trying to end the story. A vital group of characters and curiosities shoved to far away places that we know are safe and there but out of reach to perceive by our own. It's such an easy and quick way to put them out of the hurdles of how they will cause problems to the path which will end this series.
I wish we were in the moment more.
Lord Maruyama Kugane, please give us a gentle death. It's so difficult, we know you are tired and need rest. Please, somebody, become our reason to live. Pick up the Overlord's mantle, and just give us what we know is made for us. Everybody has that ONE THING, and THAT ONE THING that they don't expect and when they realize it, they cling to it. Overlord IS THE ONLY THING, that I can be confident, with zero hesitation that it was made for me. I'm not the only one.
Is the soundtrack impressive? Does it captivate? For me yes but generally, if you listen to it... as a fan of Kevin Penkin, Masayoshi, Yoko Kanno, etc... This is weird. It's the nostalgia? I don't know. the warmth? I can't describe it. Probably biased or brainwashed, could be both, however, that is possible.
I'm just tired, I have been tweaking throughout this review. I am but one of the souls that will have to wander, when this all ends. To you, the reader, who knows about this grand world and what opportunities it has and will lose, or to you the reader who has no idea and is trying to give it a try, or even you, the person who doesn't understand how I even have passion to the point of trying to support the artist's creativity to keep on writing or just have them know that we are here and love their world, have a great day.
Thank you so much for reading.
Farewell.
