Hey Jake,
I am a bit late in responding. I have been immensely busy. Life is in a chaos (good and productive but unstable, needing more order). Hopefully, January should be the last of the month with stability coming along, I believe, but yes.
As you yourself said, this year has been weak in the way of anime. It has been the same for me. My completed list was 1000 and by the end it did not even reach 1030.
I have been re watching BNHA with my wife, but its going slow and my schedule doesnt help maintain a routine.
New things that happened were that I started gaming again, a little. Played Elden Ring, Serious Sam, Spec Ops and loved all 3 of them. Spec Ops is a masterpiece and so is elden ring in sorts. Elden Ring dlc is left but time has not been merciful.
I have also watched a bunch of films. Good ones. I keep track on letterboxed which is good. Its like MAL for movies. YOu should try it if u dont know about it, if u do, do share me your account. Would be nice to see each other's films activity.

One PUnch Man s3 was .... the memes told me all. I can totally understand where you are coming from. I too loved S2 more because of the story and garou's character but alas, they butchered S3. I wonder why did they even make it. At least I read the manga and I am satisfied one good form exists.
I also re continued ONE PIECE. On ep 1010.

I finished Fragrant flower blooms ... anime and it was beautiful. Simple and nice. Missed that anime vibe in so long. Witch Watch is also good.
I have plans to try 17-26. I had read the manga long ago and honestly I loved the brazen outspoken way of the one-shots. They felt very creative and different to me. Its my type of shit I would say. I hope the anime delivered justice. I will get back to it once I watch it.

I have an exam in an hour so I am about to leave.

I failed my army interview so there goes my hopes and chances for early full time job. Sticking to university and part time stuff for the year(s) to come. Summer vacations are coming so I'm hoping to fix myself a good routine and catch up on missimg action.

Your experience of flatting reminds me of hostels. I have had that experience for 4 years and that too in shitty areas. I think I can understand your frustrations and thy are totally valid. My idea of a flat was more like an apartment but smaller. Thought it would have an independent kitchen atleast.

But hey, congratulations on your new home. Sounds like a real cozy place.
I know you said you want to keep it that way (being the only one) but I hope you find people who makes you want to change that view of yours and you too can get to enjoy the bliss of good human relationships at a family level.

I finished Re zero S3 as well. I get your complaints. I personally had issues with the way Subaru figured Regulus's power. Felt very, convenient. But given his importance to the lore, his whole character as a delusionist, and his tinkering with involvement with Emilia's past, I think it was due. Especially since he was a major archbishop. The dragon blood leg seemed like a .... problem ye. But im not thinking about it for now. It was weird how the whole season passed without subaru dying in the most important of times.

Dunegeon Meshi seemed good but my wife did not like it. She is not a fan of slice of life so ye, been dragged because of her.

Moonrise is a show I have been having my eyes on since years due to wit studio. Im glad its living up to the hype. I think the author for moonrise is the same as that of FMAB. so ye, probabaly thats why !!

Yes. 1k meant finishing 1000 completed. When I was new to MAL, it was a very rare thing, but I guess with time, it became a not so special thing.

I finally started re zero again. Im going in with S1.

I have been re watching films and playing games on my old console for nostalgia and it pays well.

Life has changed drastically, but I remembered to get back to you. I would not want to lose my only pen-friend.
A lot has happened on my end irl, but for the greater gist of it, life has been going in a direction.

I joined the 1k club. I was 990+ in december and only joined 1k recently hahaha. Time for anime has been short as well.
But I have been re watching many shows so my re watch count is slowly but steadily going up. We are currenty watching AOT so that is another re watch for me.

Im also planning to start watching various movies with my spouse since she has almost no exposure to the film media. Im planning on introducing her to the superhero universe bit by bit since they are culturally important to know.

as far as oshi no ko ending goes, I think I was spoiled and if that is true and what I assume for the ending to be, then ye, I guess it was not bad.

I loved the dues ex machina part of slime S2 alot, because I was heavily and emotionally invested and I wanted that to happen. But well, Im glad you got back to liking it, Slime is one of my fav isekais and its good shot, I hope we get more seasons. I have yet to watch S3 tho. Too occupied.

Its been long Jake san.
Im sorry I have been busy. I have been more preoccupied with my MS than I was when I was on job. Its tough but its fun because of the healthy challenges that are pushing me forward.
Im also getting married soon and have been busy in the preparations for that. Yes!! I finally was able to win the war on my end to have her family bend to our will of letting the girl be free and be married to me. Its a long and troublesome story and there still is a lot of problems associated with it but things are looking good so this month and the next one are gonna be even more packed.
Hence my disappearance. My anime watching has been reduced to a micro level. I started FLCL a few days ago, and Im loving it. Even though its just 6 eps, im going slow due to routine.

For manga, in bits I read a shoujo manga called tsuiraku JK to Haijin. Its probably gonna become on of my favorite shoujo mangas tbh. You may not like it though since its a teacher student romance and I think you are sensitive to those themes regarding the age aspect etc.

I read you said re zero S3 is going to be 50+ eps in cours. I doubt that. ( I REALLY WISH THOUGH ) but I am not watching S3. Im waiting for it to finish so I can binge. The weekly stuff in my current routine will just ruin the fun.

Nega Posi anglar had a decent first ep but it did not motivate me to watch it further after the second and third ep. Might have to take that one slow.
All the other shows you mentioned are ones im hyped about and im glad you are liking them cause it means i may like them too.

As for bleach, I dropped it. I just felt irritated by it. Its probably my bias. The manga arc was terrible and the anime is correcting it and the anime has some of the best direction of all time so that is great. Its just, I LOATHE the whole thousand year arc premise. From the get go it felt like the most uncontrolled wild and useless premise. The insane lack of power scaling ruined it even more when captains are gettings their asses kicked by mobs and ichigo comes to save the day. I get the main character bias but the disrespect to the rest of the soul society just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Especially with how the 0 squad was handled.

Good to know that you will be liking the one piece remake arc. I for one am going to skip, I am yet to even catch up on egg head island arc. But given the fan you are for one piece, it would have been a shame had you skipped it so im glad you are liking it.

As for the gay thing, when i first read the message, I was about to mention that you probably are mistaken and are super imposing some concepts but glad you realized it and all that. .....

As for uzumaki. I heard the first ep was phenomenol. But the rest of it was crap. I have yet to watch it myself so cannot really form an opinion as of yet.

For spice and wolf, I was waiting for post marriage time so i can watch with my wife (along with all the other shows, hence why i was aiming at shows i thought only i would like, the elitist kinda ) so ye, Will be watching that with her later on. But im glad they worked it up and made it good. I hope i enjoy it because i did not like the original very much due to the pace.

Hahahaha, its without question that today's cartoons cannot compete against the gold standard you mentioned. Btw, I used to dislike Teen Titans Go myself (given the og were so cool) but then, there came a phase where GO actually grew up on me. I enjoyed it after that.

the 365 days anime and amagami sisters were shows i saw popping up on crunchyroll and seeing their description, i knew they were for me so yup, will definitley be looking forward to them

as for .... blue box, its a show i was waiting for way long. Before an anime was even in sights, i had hopes it would come one day. SO ye, highly anticipating it because i heard its super good.

And giji was a short manga, some 80 chapters that too of only 8 eps, so while a few parts were skipped, it wasnt the anime fault. The pacing was somewhat similar in the manga too i would say. Unlike horimiya, it was different because the author went with an approach similar to a 4 koma anime / manga.

I would recommend you finish it, because dropping at 8 ep seems like kind of a waste.

Kinda shame the uncle became such a focal point of the show for you that it ruined the experience.

Its been a long while, almost a month. I left my job and started uni again. Doing my MS. Its too tough and has sucked away all my free time. Life feels more hectic then when it was doing a job.

Giji was fun. A bit different from what I imagined but it was very natural. The script writing was very good but the execution of the overall vibe was poor. I understand budget issues but still, it felt like a waste of such an amazing potential. I still enjoyed the show but because of my bias, i had higher hopes.

as for isekau suicide squad. Guess ima pass on it for the time being. Not really in the mood to watch DC villains do predictable stuff in an isekai.
but im happy wit studio has been getting various projects, kinda like a revival.

Also, i dont recognize any of the cartoons you mentioned. Im assuming thet are the newer generation cartoon. Kinda not interested in them.
