As I grew up my brother would always talk about how much of an “advocate of gender equality” he was and I never really understood where he got that from but I always thought it was funny, little did I know he got it from the show I will be reviewing today which is Konosuba. Konosuba by far is the funniest anime I’ve ever watched by far, as a new anime fan I quickly realized that comedy wasn’t really the sweet spot of anime shows, but Konosuba proved me wrong as it is incredibly funny. The characters genuinely might be the best part of this

anime, Kazuma, Aqua, Darkness, and Megumin might be the best main cast of characters I’ve ever seen and they complement each other perfectly. Each character has something special and unique about them and that’s what makes this show so goated. The setting in this show is great as well, I love how they made it feel like you were in “1800s castle times with dragons to fight” kinda aura to this show and I love it.
Now here’s my issues. I can’t lie for me this anime was definitely a little bit of a gooner anime and I know it’s for comedic purposes but sometimes it was a little weird I can’t lie (episode 9 especially). The plot in this anime…. well there isn’t really one, I’m a big plot guy and to be honest the plot genuinely doesn’t matter at all, but the missions they go on are fun to watch at times. Overall if you just want something fun and chill to watch and to get a good laugh this anime is perfect for you! But if you want gore, action, and plot I definitely wouldn’t recommend this one.

I genuinely don’t understand the hype in this anime at all. All I have to say is Mid. Mid. And more Mid, Tokyo Ghoul is an anime about Ghouls vs Humans and it sounds cool but in reality there ain’t much to see in this anime. I’ll get this out of the way first this show might have the worst MC I've ever seen, Kaneki is absolute **** nothing is cool about him he’s unconfident, weak, and just overall a boring character, I don’t understand why he just didn’t expect his reality when tragedy struck him instead he spent the whole show trying to be
...
“different” and stick to his morals, just to absolutely fold in the last 10 minutes of the season, it just makes no sense to me. Touka is the best and really the only memorable character in this show for me, and even she’s just ok at best. The action carries this show and the plot is decent as well, I like how this anime portrays the Ghouls as the good guys over humanity, but overall this anime is just straight mid and the guy in the purple shirt is just straight up weird, especially in the episode where he was just grooming Keneki. The soundtrack has no bangers at all Op and Ed are mid, it’s just MID. The power system is decent it’s just a little funky in my opinion. The art is pretty good as well. Overall if you just want some action and an ok plot you may like this show (maybe) but I just don’t understand how this anime is so popular I don’t know maybe my takes are just bad on average.

Would you care to give death a try? I’m sure you wouldn’t, but if you were a character in Hell Girl you wouldn’t have much of a choice. Hell girl is a 26 ep anime that is episodic basically until the very end. The characters? Well there ain’t much to say about them as you’ll see so many and none of them really matter at all I promise you won’t get attached to any character in this show, the only memorable character in the show is Ai Emna (Hell girl herself) and she really isn’t anything special either I don’t even remember the names of
...
her companions either to be honest. I can’t lie this show is repetitive as hell like to the point where it can get annoying sometimes and there really isn’t any plot at all. Now I know you must be thinking I’m an absolute hater of this show, so here’s some of things I liked about the show. The concept of Hell Girl is actually very interested and it kept me invested the whole time, basically if someone got wronged by someone else they could call on Hell Girl and she would avenge there grievance and send the bad person to hell sounds great right? Well the only problem is if you call on her and you untie the thread on the doll she gave you, you then would enter in a covenant with her and once your grievance is gone your soul will be banished to hell once you die. It was really cool to watch how some characters would either fold to the struggles of there life or somehow get convinced that payback is never worth your soul no matter how much you may hate someone or wish on there death. Each episode shows how different people are struggling in there daily life whether it be living up to expectations, or bullying, or losing a loved one because of someone else, and it is interesting to see how each character reacts to there situations. Overall if you are looking for character development, epic plot twists, and action this show just ain’t for you. Hell Girl takes a ton of patience to get through, this one of those shows you will know by episode 4 if you will like it or drop it.

This may be one of my hotter takes as an anime fan but Higurashi season 1 is my favorite and one of the most enjoyable anime’s I’ve ever watched.
Every episode hit for me and I got hooked very quickly watching this show. I love that they gave each character their own arc, and the aesthetic in this show may be the best thing about it, Higurashi takes place in a small town called hinimizawa and this just adds to the great horror aspect, and the cicada noises in the background of this anime for some reason add such a great vibe to the
...
overall aesthetic of this show. There are some great scenes in this anime that will send chills down your spine, and don’t even get me started about the soundtrack of this anime, it is my favorite soundtrack by far, and the music fits the theme and scenes of this anime perfectly.
I personally love the characters in this, but I could see why people say that is probably one of the weaker parts of this show and the plot may seem repetitive in season 1 so if your the type that needs immediate plot and an insane character cast right away this show may not be for you, but if your a horror fan like me this anime hits in all the right spots and you will not regret watching this masterpiece and this anime will always hold a special place in my heart as it is the first anime I ever watched.
