best to give my honest and best review from a normal anime standpoint, so first and foremost would be how this anime has it's opening first episode seems like a pretty good hook although it dumps a lot of it's theme literally out the box on the first go on how there is a race being discriminated and the practice of racism is strong, and then we have Lena (Which we all know why she is in the show, aka don't worry i'm a big fan of her and more over her ship)
the first part i would like to discuss is the pacing anime feels off when we hit the first part of the anime during a couple of the first fight scenes, i really feel like if we had a bit of time on those accompanied with a couple of character introduction i think it would be substantially better since it would make swapping scenes much smoother, though i appreciate that they did not overuse CGI i really respect that.
The second is monologue scenes which i will particularly focus on information disclosure or lores and as well as lines were also good but i really feel like they could have added better dynamic development especially between Shin and Lena also their dynamics with supporting side characters. i have no comments on lines but i really liked that shin is not overly edgy and still have a human side to him, and in terms of lines i have no issues they were made perfectly and it does not feel like an AI made them for an anime script, and plus overall it is really faithful to that of the light novel which is a big plus for us Light novel readers, but then again this affected pacing which overall made the anime sometimes feels a bit off like what i stated before with pacing.
The third is Character and Character death, this part is really where i see something which could be improved, i've mentioned something about dynamics which i feel like it really needs work on as it provides context to the overall stuff, the current is already good but i feel like it could use a bit more spice to really livin it up. like for example Daiya's death i mean his death felt sad but it hadn't reach the climax where it could be seen as something symbolic especially his dynamics with Anju, i believe there is hidden potential in that subplot dynamics which could potentially impact the main plot whilst spice it up without affecting the main dynamic romance plot,
The fourth would be music (Not the openings but the insert song and ED Music), I have no comments here and am absolute in love with Hiroyuki sawano's work and Kohta Yamamoto's work, they're music blends so good with the scene although the usage in some scenes can be a bit overly dramatic or unrequired but that's the editor's work so that is on them since some music can seem unfitting for certain scenes, but going back to music i feel the music is super powerfu to enrich certain scenes, Avid is super good and as well as Voices of the chords is one of my all times favorites with it's dynamic deveopement, multiple layering and climaxing towards the end, in my opinion it is such a good insert track for a certain powerful scene in the anime's part 2, overall i love the song and another reason why Voices of the Chords is my favorite track from the anime other than "Underneath the sky", and "4in". Kohta yamamoto also has some really good tracks such as "Talk to You" which is my all time favorites.
The Fifth and last would be the Animation, i have strong feedback for this mainly because the studio A1 had accomplished something super pretty in my opinion with 2014's Aldnoah Zero, a mech anime with really eye catching visuals in my opinion, i feel like 86's animation in the future could be improved to be on par with it's mech predecesor especially when eighty six is a much newer anime which came out in 2021, small details such as lens flare, scene color correction to set the mood, the usage of color pallettes for certain emotions, sharpness and little details on characters face motions and animation could be set on par with a lot of mech predecesors.
lastly, sorry for making ya'll read this stuff, but when it comes to one of my most all time favorite anime i can't help but support and criticize it at the same time since i'm planning to explore this industry and thus i really have to be super thorough, but nonetheless i do really reccomend this anime for anyone looking for Mech animes to watch.

I'm currently following the series and haven't gotten into the Manga yet, will be soon but focusing on the anime i feel like this anime successfully make a unique selling point out of your standard pattern of romantic comedy anime, it manages to have a good understanding of character background story to enrich the plot developement and make everything fall into place, and in terms of pacing it also goes really well with the plot developement, will be looking forward to how this anime ends it's first season.
i think i would be following this anime since it does really spark an interest to ... Feb 7, 2026
I have no idea what this is, like i came into this anime not expecting it to be a huge hit on action or stuff, i had my expectations lowered in order for me to enjoy as it is. i have a lot of mixed stuff about this anime and truly i was expecting the episodes to have a lot more appeal, a lot of the lines feels really stale from my point of view, pacing is all over the place. and since the story revolves around the main character female and male lead i feel like cecillia hardly gets adequate screen time with the
