Alien invasion. Alien assimilating with mankind. Communication. Fafner much better in terms of story and soundtracks. 00 better in terms of actions and animation.

Both deals with alien invasion and (near) destruction of mankind. Both are equally depressing but have a very solid plot and character developments. Soundtracks are great too.

Both revolve around music and romance. In the case of WA, the male protagonist is a wimp. In the case of MF, the male protagonist is less of a wimp. BUT the selling point for both series are in their music, both have very strong female singer/seiyu and will not disappoint you in that regards.

Both male protagonists share many similarities. They are surrounded by great looking, attractive females in a house where they don't have much say (one is a butler while the other is the youngest, not to mention adopted, of 6 siblings). Both anime originated from H-games (visual novel). Both have extremely similar storyline. Why do I keep saying both? Both female leads (I am referring to Kaname and Shinra) are GORGEOUS and look VERY VERY similar!

Seto no Hanayome is a MUCH better version of To-Love Ru. Both shows got similar theme, having the male protagonist get into a marriage that they know nothing about at first. Definitely will make you laugh like no tomorrow.
