Just bing watched this series in 5 day's. Yes 5 day's. In starting it was very slow, it takes slow approach with story telling but all things contribute to MC personal growth. You have to have patience with this series. But story telling is very detailed no question.

Animation improve as story goes on and I hope in future it improves more.

Harems elements is intresting in this series because the main Female lead make other power girls if they love mc she will accept them quite surprising coz she want's to save/help mc the more powerful force mc can get the better. But it's good not ... annoying.

There's a lot of useless yapping throughout the story that drag one scene to multiple episode but u can just fast forward 10s etc no big problem.

It's definitely worth watching .... It's a pity that I have to wait and watch 5 minutes episode with ongoing schedule let's see the original source is massive and still ongoing with 6.1k chapters. M currently caught up with 630 ongoing let's see if this series will get to the ending probably 1-2 decades ig 😅 and how good it will become.

Editing this review after watching season 3 . Fking donghua damm Good so first 1-2 season mid 6.8. then mfs it becomes 9.7. worth watching.

Visually Stunning, but Narratively Flawed
​Tomb of Fallen Gods (Shen Mu) is a mixed bag. As a reader of the original web novel, I found the donghua adaptation disappointing; it is not faithful to the book, with significant plot changes and several key characters removed entirely.
​However, for newcomers who haven't read the novel, it offers a decent viewing experience. The animation quality and music are solid highlights that make it enjoyable. On the downside, the protagonist often feels surprisingly useless despite ... his background as an "ancient entity," which can be frustrating to watch. Additionally, the subtitle quality is quite poor, which hinders the experience.
​It is a good "popcorn" show if you ignore the source material, but don't expect a masterpiece.

AFTER SEASON 3 = 9.7.

Tales of Herding Gods is a breath of fresh air in the cultivation genre. It features a truly unique plot that avoids the usual clichés. The story follows an orphan protagonist, and his mysterious origins create a constant sense of suspense. Who is he really? Where did he come from? Even as of January 4th and 64 episodes in, many of these mysteries remain unsolved, keeping the audience hooked.
After researching the web novel (which is massive, with about 1,800+ chapters), I found that the author, Zhai Zhu, crafts a very deliberate world. While the MC's parents and the "Disabled Village" elders play huge roles throughout ... the story and survive for a long time to fight in a massive final war, the death of the Patriarch of the Heavenly Saint Cult serves as a major, philosophical turning point for the series.
The animation quality is top-tier. As a Nian Qing (Yearly) release, this show is built for the long haul. With the current pacing of 3–4 chapters per episode, this donghua could easily run for at least 10 years. The pacing is fast, the subtitles are high quality, and it never feels like it's dragging.
For those who dislike harem tropes: while there are romantic interests (about three prominent female characters), the focus remains very tight. His main partner and primary "cultivation companion" remains the Princess (Ling Yuxiu), and the romance doesn't distract from the plot.
The next 30 episodes are set to be some of the most important in the series. If you are reading this after episode 100, let me know how the payoff was!
Final Verdict: 8.8/10 — Definitely worth watching.

I think I am first day person who is watching this series from day one Just finished 1st episode and for the first time in donghua history I am seeing this much gore, blood in donghua. And I can see the vision. Also it's from the same author who wrote Renegade immortal.

As. For the story it has very solid start, and story telling definitely improved from last generation of donghua and studios also put a lot of effort adopting it from web novel into Donghua. Not rushed at all i hope they maintain same phase throughout entire story and yaaa it's gonna be ... very long series aspect it to run atleast for 300+ episode [1354 total web novel chapters]

I Just recently picked this donghua. Without Reading it's synopsis. Going to finish this completely. First impressions is good starting is well maintained, but it could have been better if some things in starting explained more in details but ig they internally avoid those for later story. I can't complain about it. Starting is decent phasing is nice not too rushed not to slow

Animation is unique it's like fog hills of five elements. You can say they share similer Animation styles.

You can give it a try, Decent watch i will give it - 6.8 out of 10. My ratings are very ... strict. But it's good watch and refreshing. Also if you are new to donghua you will have hard time understanding the power system. It comes in Xianxia catagory, so if it's your first donghua then you will have hard time understanding the power system.

Its okey, at starting it was good then later on haram added that makes it annoing, i enjoyed first 50 episode , also first 50 episodes can be said its first major ark. then from there on it become quite rush . i guess they started to adoped 15-20 web novel chapter in one episode and ,many things feels rushed. in that way. well i enjoyed it. charater r decent written. not very deep, because of added harem 🫡. i cant feel tooo touched.

my rating r quite strict giving it 6 , if you have lots of free time you can watch it first 50 ... episode gonna be very good then later it feels rushed , but the animation improve as episode progress. so you ca give it a try.

I Just finished reading 20 chapter,, it's great to see another manhwa from studio Redice, with great art style,, I really have high Hopes for it, Plot going smoothly just like any other reincarnation manhwa, mc got killed and trying to save his friends and take revenge. Still it'd be great if mc Become a little badass/cold hearted like solo leveling and doom breaker, well that's for future to deside, right now it's in my ongoing like let's see how the story devlop in future.

Story aren't unique plot are very similar to any reincarnation manhwa but it's in developing state so i have high ... hop for it to develop some unique plot, and it will be good if write decided to add some thriller, into story.

The art style is pretty good and fit for story but it's annoying to see rough edges on eyes side, it will be good if art style arround eyes improved,, if will also increase popularity,

Well it has lot of potential if done well with little improvement,, then it probably become interesting to follow till the end,,
