Both shows are Romantic Comedies involving Two Main Characters trying to fall in love. Both Kaguya-Sama and Alya involve a Who-Will-Confess First/Fall-for-the-Other-Person type of plot. Nevertheless, both anime feature Student Councils and Plots revolving around typical High-School shenanigans. Both shows are pretty great Romantic Comedies.
