"I'm not gay, but the male lead is kinda cute... and hot."
Quit joking around, this manga is perversely cute. The art, the interactions between the two leads, their expressions… it all just works. If you’re looking for something wholesome, cute (and yes, perverse), this one is a solid recommendation from me.
Content: 8/10 (or 7/10 depending on what you are looking for)
A cute (and perverse) couple doing cute (and perverse) things. From my point of view, this manga isn’t openly suggestive. Sure, you get a direct nipple shot of the male lead now and then, maybe a belly shot sprinkled in, but most of the “spice”
...
comes from dialogue and what it implies, leaving the rest to the reader’s imagination.
If you’re expecting drama, that’s where the one-point deduction comes in. There is almost no love drama at all. The side characters are all pretty "tame" and supportive of the main couple so far.
Style: 8/10
The female lead is gorgeous, everything looks good on her. But for god’s sake, did the author really have to make the male lead this cute too? Every time he gets flustered, embarrassed, or “violated” by the female lead, he becomes so vulnerable and… (I’m not gay!)
Personal Enjoyment: 10/10
This review comes after my third (or so) reread. I read it straight to the newest chapter at the time. The experience was so good that I’ll definitely come back to reread it again.
(Not because I forgot which chapter I stopped on last time, okay!!!)
(Also, RIP to the zombie guy in the haunted house act, the abyss must have glanced back at him really hard)

This is an overall wholesome piece without any drama or hard feelings. It has just the right amount of sweetness, not too much to make it feel “cringe,” but not too little to make it “boring.” It’s good as it is!
Content: 8/10
The story matches the vibe and direction of the manga really well. It’s good at what it sets out to do: no unnecessary drama, and the only relationship problem is resolved lightly through conversation. The ending did feel a bit rushed to me, and I would’ve liked at least one more volume, but it’s still great.
Style: 8/10
The art style is exactly what you’d want
...
from a wholesome romance manga. It doesn’t need to be top notch, just cute characters with enough care in each panel, which it delivers. The art quality also stayed consistent throughout.
Personal Enjoyment: 9/10
Shout-out to the “Fluffy Low-Stakes Romances” stack. This is another manga I stumbled upon right before bed, only to end up reading all the way through. My initial feelings after first chapter was around an 8, but it didn’t disappoint me at all and ended up feeling like a solid 9.

Age gap and maid-master relationship? Sign me up!
This is a solid romance manga, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for something cozy and wholesome. I initially considered giving it a 7 after the latest chapter, but since I really loved the characters, I settled on an 8! I just hope the author comes up with more good ideas after the hiatus.
Content: 8/10
The first half of the story was a solid 9 for me—it had a strong start with an exciting premise and plenty of potential to explore. The characters are mostly good people, willing to help the main character, and the story has
...
almost zero drama. This leads to the plot feeling very cliché, with every problem being solved in a single chapter in a way that you could’ve predicted before reading. However, since that’s not the main intention of the manga, it’s not a bad choice and doesn’t harm the overall experience. However, the manga falls into the mistake of rushing the later parts before the hiatus. While it did what needed to be done, the confession and the events after felt a little forced, and they could have shown more of the male lead’s side, as well as other characters.
That said, they still got together, and the confession part made me blush so hard I almost screamed out loud, so it’s still a good experience.
Style: 8/10
The manga has decent art with captivating character designs. The artist also focuses on many small details, such as clothes, tools, food, and especially the background. The background is particularly detailed, providing an excellent foundation for the atmosphere of the manga.
Personal enjoyment: 8/10
I was hooked from the first chapter and thought to myself that this is easily an 8, with some potential to be a 9. I definitely enjoyed reading it, but for me, it couldn't quite reach its potential, and I was actually intending to give it a solid 7.5. However, after a while, an 8 felt more fitting because my greedy self really love Lucille.

It’s a shame that this manga only has 2 volumes. This was the very first manga I wanted to buy the physical version of right after reading it, just because I was so hyped up. Yet, I was a little disappointed after finishing it because it ended too soon.
Since I haven’t seen many positive reviews about it here, I wrote this in the hopes that someone out there might also enjoy it.
To all those fellow wholesome romance readers—give this a try!
Content: 9/10
This is a slow-paced romance manga between two classmates, both dealing with past issues related to hair. Ironically, what connects them is the girl's
...
beautiful hair, and with every moment he spends fixing it, their relationship grows—slowly but surely. It really warms the reader’s heart. There’s no excessive drama, no rivals—just two people and their love story.
Style: 8/10
The art style of this manga is on the better side—the characters are very cute, and the hair is absolutely beautiful. You can tell the author spent a good amount of time on the hair, to the point where sometimes it looks a bit out of place compared to the overall art style.
Personal Enjoyment: 10/10
After the first chapter, I thought, "This manga is at least an 8 and could easily be a 9 for me." And I wasn’t wrong. But after finishing it, I was left feeling empty. So empty, in fact, that I ended up reading it two more times and then immediately went on Amazon to find the physical version lmao.

Hands down, my favorite manga.
If you ask for the epitome of gag manga, I’ll point straight to Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. This manga excels at what it does best—delivering consistent, well-timed comedy. Since it’s a gag manga, you don’t have to worry about following a complex plot; just pick it up and enjoy a good laugh every time. After all, the story thrives on its characters and their interactions.
That said, don’t expect romantic progression, or any progression. It exists purely for the sake of the jokes. Every now and then, we might get a tiny bit of development, but at the end of the day, it’s
...
all about the comedy.
Content (Story): 7/10
As mentioned above, the story exists purely for the sake of the jokes. It’s neither bad nor exceptional—just a straightforward, cliché setup you'd find in any typical romcom. It follows students enjoying their high school years and interacting with each other, serving as a simple yet effective backdrop for the comedy. This manga is all about the "now".
Content (Character): 10/10
Like many other reviews, I want to separate this part from the content because the characters are the true stars of the show. The story progresses mainly through their interactions, and it’s these dynamics that keep things engaging. While the characters may have basic foundations, what makes them so interesting is the way they act. Throughout the story, rather than feeling like you’re learning something new about them, it’s more like their personalities are building upon themselves. It’s a process of exploration rather than discovery, and that’s what makes it so compelling.
Style: 9/10
While the art style isn’t the most stunning, realistic, or breathtaking, it perfectly suits the manga’s tone. It follows a traditional romcom aesthetic with cute character designs, which complement the lighthearted and comedic nature of the story. I really like how the art style enhances the overall experience, making the humor land even better.
Personal Enjoyment: 10/10
I can’t count how many times I’ve read this manga and watched the anime since I first discovered it about 10 years ago. Whenever I feel stressed or can't find a good romcom, GKSN is always the go-to. What makes it such an excellent choice is that I don’t have to start from chapter 1 each time. I can pick up any chapter, whether forward or backward, and it’s still enjoyable. It’s the perfect comfort pick!
