I watched the first of the two OVAs quite a while ago. I don't remember it very well, so this review will focus mostly on the second one. Now, I’m not easily disgusted—and by "disgusted," I mean literally vomiting. Out of all the scenes in this train wreck, the one that made me wish I were illiterate—just so I wouldn't have to read the subtitles—was the condensed milk scene. To be precise, it’s the part where the protagonist asks the studio what semen tastes like, wondering if it’s as good as they say in *eroge*. One of the women tells her it tastes like condensed
...
milk because they’re both white. I realize that on paper, it was probably meant to be a funny scene, but it had the opposite effect—or rather, something even worse. The scat scene in Episode 5 of the *Euphoria* anime (around the 14- or 15-minute mark) actually made me throw up less—and not because I hadn't eaten much, but because I more or less knew what to expect: something so unrealistic that, even if it’s gross, you end up laughing at it. With this abomination—this thing that looks like it crawled out of a hippo's dysentery-ridden ass—the situation was completely different. It was a scene that was, all things considered, realistic and plausible; and what truly disgusted me was the thought that maybe—or rather, probably—this has happened, is happening, and will happen. And don't get me started on the protagonist's sister: just how depraved do you have to be to ask your younger sister—who’s in high school and is a *loli*—to voice-act in *eroge*? I mean, I don't think even the worst incestuous families in Alabama are that messed up.

So, don't ask me why, but before reading it, I thought *Metamorphosis* was about tentacle porn; then, unfortunately, it turned out to be a load of crap. I really wish it had just been about tentacle porn. I’m someone who gets emotional quite easily—I won't deny crying over moments in manga, anime, and the like that didn't really call for the reader or viewer to get emotional—but this was different. You know that feeling where you're so anxious you can't even sweat anymore? It was like that with *Metamorphosis*, only with sadness instead of anxiety and tears instead of sweat. Calling it "sadness" is actually
...
an understatement: what I felt after finishing the work was a mix of horrible emotions. I wasn't just moved; I was genuinely pissed off. I wanted to know more about the author, how he came up with the idea, and I still don't know what to think about the fact that, for ShindoL, it wasn't even that big a deal. I don't think it's right to call it a "traumatic" read; it's more like a mark. It’s not a scar—it’s a fucking indelible tattoo, maybe in a spot you don't look at all the time, like, I don't know, your armpit or your balls, or whatever. It’s something that gets to you. You can't just read it and move on. Afterward—even if just a little—something inside you has to change, or at least you have to think, "That could have been me." It’s something that simply makes you reflect. I was pretty depressed for a few days after reading it, and even now, if I think about it, that mix of nasty emotions comes back; yet, for that very reason, I want to give *Metamorphosis* credit. A well-written work—regardless of genre, themes, or anything else—is one that evokes strong emotions, whether positive or negative, and *Metamorphosis* succeeds perfectly at that. I don't know if this was truly just an ordinary work for ShindoL, but if that really was the case, he deserves our utmost respect for managing to create something so impactful without even attaching much significance to it himself. I’m not going to say things like "I recommend this to those with a strong heart and stomach." I recommend it to everyone; it might come as an unpleasant surprise to some, and some might be more deeply affected than others, but I believe it is a work that everyone should read with close attention.

Okay, even though it might look like pure "goon material"—and, well, it is—it’s still enjoyable. Sure, the characters are basically archetypes that don't really try to break the mold, but at the end of the day, it does what it’s supposed to: get a few laughs out of you and maybe make you "goon" a bit (not really my thing, but fair enough). The story is pretty simple too, but that doesn't make it any less fun; a lot of the appeal comes down to the art style. Even setting the animation aside, the characters look great. Their designs aren't anything groundbreaking, but they’re cute,
...
and the overall style and color choices really work. That said, there is one thing that totally kills the mood for me. I mean, the characters have pretty big heads—which makes sense relative to the rest of their bodies—but there are moments where the heads are drawn a bit smaller, and it looks so weird that you can't help but cringe a little.

It's horrible to watch this shit. So, rape already disgusts me, which is a bad start, considering it's in the anime's title, but the worst thing about this stuff is the realism. I'm not talking about the animation, which is actually pretty awful, I'm talking about how it made me lose hope in the human race, or rather, in the male human race. I mean, the plot would be interesting, but it's not developed at all. It's just a pretext to show hentai scenes everywhere. There was a single character who actively opposed the legalization of rape, and then sacrifices himself to save his sister
...
and prevent her from being raped too, which is beyond noble. If anything, which in reality is pointless, since the sister was more than happy, or rather, drugged. The worst part, in fact, I think was how the women were essentially portrayed as sperm addicts who simply needed the first injection to convince them. Horrible, how you can even see police officers committing indecent acts on fucking schoolgirls because they were dissatisfied with life. But still, it was most likely actually done by a group of poor virgins who felt offended because no one wanted to fuck them. The final scene, however, is probably the most disgusting part of the anime. You see all the women you've ever seen, practically dehumanized, totally addicted to sex, and above all, pregnant. This last one may seem like a trivial detail, but it isn't. The premise is literally that rape is being legalized due to the declining birth rate. And okay, so far so good. But then, if someone is already pregnant, it shouldn't make sense. Also because, right at the beginning of the anime, we're told that pregnant women, little girls, or people who in general couldn't procreate were exempt from this law. I don't recommend watching it, not even to the worst of perverts, not even to the most Gooner of Gooners, not even to people who have actually raped someone. It's such a piece of shit that it even made me feel guilty for watching it. Please, whether you're a man or a woman, don't watch it! I beg you!

So, I watched this because that Overflow mid-season was pretty good in terms of animation, and all in all, even though the plot was pretty banal, and there was a pseudo-rape in the second episode, it was decent. This just sucks. I mean, the protagonist is a total jerk, not even John Wayne Gacy with kids. The girls, they too, were nymphomaniacs. There was just one, whose name I don't even remember, but it's the blonde one, the oppaized tomboy, who seemed different. She seemed to actually be saying to the teacher, because yes, the guy is their teacher, "bro, goddammit, I'm reporting you." She
...
even beats him up with words and punches, but in reality, she falls too, because of this idiot, who all things considered, doesn't even have that big a dick. Compared to many other hentai protagonists, the censorship covering up this guy's dick was minimal. Memes aside, and seriously, I genuinely felt uncomfortable watching it. While I take other hentai with a pinch of salt and watch it, laughing, this was horrible. And honestly, I only finished it because I'm a masochist. Don't even bother watching it. If you really want it, the studio has made slightly nicer stuff, like Guilty Hole.

I've never seen anything like this. The worst part of my experience with this piece of shit is that it was one of my first anime when I was little. For goodness sake, I didn't really watch any of these great things at first: The Seven Deadly Sins, Blood C, and even then, let's forget about that. However, after rewatching it about 5 years after my first viewing, I realized it was actually even worse than I remembered. I mean, holy shit, let me move the plot forward a little without having to peck at this bitch's tits every 2 seconds. I mean, I watch
...
ecchi, my favorite anime is ecchi, albeit a light one, but still, this is at the sugar-coated level. I mean, I don't know if the people who animated it were jerking off while watching it, but I think so. An average Pornhub video is better developed, because at least it doesn't pass itself off as something that's porn. Don't watch it and tell it as a horror story to children, like Krampus or something like that.
