Preliminary (34/? chp)
The manga started off really strong, and I was excited for the entire first two volumes. Solid 9/10.

Then the pacing became erratic; it felt like huge chunks of the story were getting skipped. The art dwindled as well. Please note that all of this is only relative to the first few chapters. It became a decent to good isekai story after that. I have read 34 chapters so far, and overall, I would still rate it 7/10.

The story isn't unique, but pretty well done. The art style is okay overall. The characters lack depth, except for the main character. Read it for the isekai ...

Preliminary (75/? chp)
I've read 15 volumes as of now.

The title of the light novel is misleading, but in a good way. The protagonist is a pretty capable, loyal partner and a good advisor, not a lazy, do-nothing boyfriend.

The pace is steady in the beginning. It begins to crawl around volume 3, but gets back on track from volume 5 onwards. Each chapter gradually reveals the political web of the country, without overwhelming with world-building. The stakes keep evolving, and the leads' chemistry keeps the story interesting without being too slow or too fast.

When it comes to politics, two light novels shine: 'Ascendance of a Bookworm' and 'The ...

Refreshing for an isekai.

The MC is quite likable. He switches from a corpo-slave and a bookworm into a carefree and lazy personality, landing him somewhere in the middle. His efforts to juggle his academic life while seeking freedom and maintaining his (comedic) pride; all keep the story fresh.

Although it has many common isekai tropes, the story still feels refreshing as the protagonist is aware of them. He has his own thoughts about these tropes and either tries to trigger them or avoids them, which makes the story either more adventurous or humorous. He is not suddenly the strongest SSS-Ranker, and he has plenty of weaknesses ...

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (72/? chp)
The premise is unique, the early chapters are engaging—a goblin society with its own customs and challenges. However, as the plot progresses, the pacing becomes erratic. Significant developments occur abruptly, leaving little room for character growth or world-building. MC gathers 270 skills and swiftly rises to leadership. It makes the narrative feel more like a checklist of tropes than a cohesive story. The narrative feels derivative, with similarities to the Slime Isekai.

The artwork is commendable, and the female characters are well-drawn. The characters are expressive, and the backgrounds are detailed. The manga does well in its portrayal of goblin society. The exploration of their culture, ...

Preliminary (11/19 chp)
I randomly came across this manga and was only going to read the 1st chapter and then decide. No way I could stop after the first chapter.

There are no unnecessary fight scenes, but great dialogues, witty humor, and a complicated plot while keeping the current story simple and light. The characters are well-defined and deep. It does have a few cliche manga scenes that put me off in the beginning, but they are not over the top like in those romance mangas.

I read only 11 chapters when writing this review, and even the story is recommended up until now.
