From the very first episode it showed greatness and at least for me it delivered.

With a wide range of different and interesting characters, great visuals and a pretty solid plot, it was one of the best anime in 2016.

The cast are all historical figures and asides the main plot of "kill all the bad guys" they have a deeper one which wasn't revealed that well in the first season. It plays along like a typical shonen anime with fights and progressing the story but it feels so much more alive, especially with the exagerrated characters. Now the one downside for some people is the comedy ... aspect of the anime and that there is too much of it, breaking the enjoyement, but it didn't annoy me at all.

An outstanding part that just left me in awe was the strategy behind the battles. And I'm not talking about deep military strategy but more of the intense fights where, in a normal anime, you'd expect swords to clash until someone wins but here they use different methods, anything at all to win. My first surprise was when the guy threw his sword in a fight just to knee another guy in the face, it was pure bliss and at that moment I knew I was in it for the long run.

I have not played the game and I'm not counting the game. This review is based solely about the anime, which is a complete piece of crap.

They introduce characters left and right. At first it seems to start fine, the plot developement is stupid but you can still comprehend it but then it just keeps building up, relentlessly feeding you information about useless crap that it never utilises or introduces characters that are killed off in next episode.

I have a feeling that they just wanted to cram everything into the anime hoping that it would be better for the fans to relate to but to ... the people who knew nothing about the series, it was a complete mess.

It has 42 characters, 42. Oh my god, and it tries to make the viewer know every one of them but fails miserably. Asides from the characters the plot is similarly F-d since it doesn't do anything. As mentioned beforehand, it has so many characters so it just spends most of the time introducing them and not actually advancing the overall story which doesn't even exist that much.

If you want the story then you can watch the first and last episode and be done with it, nothing substantial happens inbetween.

I see no actual reason why people might enjoy this anime. It is a spinoff of "strike witches" but doesn't bring anything to the table whatsoever.

It focuses on a completely new group of witches but everything from character developemend to world developement is plain out idiotic. Now I have to make it clear that it doesn't focus on advancing the plot at all, since it focuses more on the slice of life part here which is made ridiculously clear since they are supposed to be in the front lines battling alien enemies and all of the front lines is managed by 7 girls that mostly, ... don't even battle, but instead have "fun".

So if it's not about the story and it's about character developement, how does that hold up? Well, short answer is, it doesn't. They have choices where you can pick a good candidate for a fight or a complete klutz and they choose the worse person because they are the main character. They have moments where they literally state something concrete and then in the next episode, disregard it completely.

I have no problem with anime that is absurd but once it stops following its own logic, it has failed.

For me the second season was a real breath of fresh air since after the fail that was the second half of the first season, it really picked itself up and did something interesting.

Bringing up a whole new world with some pretty epic fights was a good idea. The new villains on the other hand were pretty bad, like laughably bad.

Again it couldn't really span one arc through the season but made 3 separate story lines here. Amazingly I loved the last one the most because it was kinda heart touching and seemed sincere if that makes any since. None of them were as ... bad as the first seasons second half though.

If you enjoyed the first season then you will definitely love the second one also and if you left the first one with mixed feelings then I still recommend checking this one out.

No, I am not a FANBOY of SAO, neither do I HATE it to death because it is full of tropes and makes Kirito out to look like god amongst men.

I enjoyed it, kinda. At least the idea of it. The first episode was well made, too well. It brought everybody into it's lush world, introducing all the possibilities. It looked like an anime about video games that didn't suck and it didn't, at least for the first half when it mostly did what was expected from it.

The second half on the other hand was a big downfall. It literally copied the first half without ... remorse, doing the exact same things without nothing new and unexpected. It just brought in more fetishes and fanservice witch is why most of the people probably got turned off from the series.

The thing with the first season is that it left me with very mixed feelings since it was good, it did something incredible and brought a really good VR game anime to the world while messing it up in the second half.

I was SURPRISED at how well it was executed. I was expecting it to be totally overhyped and not even close to being good but it was.

The style was constistent and everything was well animated, especially the skating part. They really managed to capture the essence of figureskating. While it all seems amazing, I have to mention that there are some derp moments here and there since it does require a lot of animation effort so later episodes featuring skating have characters looking like stickfigures at points.

Story wise it is good. It is unexpected and tries something a bit more original. It kept me pretty ... much on my toes the whole ride since it didn't go the average shonen route where you just train and get stronger and then win at life. It was all about the struggle and it is greatly appreciated.

I left the anime with a feeling of satisfaction. Not saying it wasn't without fault but it was overall enjoyable.

Deemably the worst anime in existence. BUT IS IT? Well, no. Mars of Destruction isn't the worst anime but it is incredibly bad. Thankfully it is more of the, it's so bad it's good, anime.

The animation is dreadful, it's complete garbage but that can be ignored.
The music is...well, it's good technically, because they haven't composed any music at all, they just use classical music that everybody already loves, but they fuck it up because they use it in the anime like some school kids use music in their first video projects. There are no transitions between the pieces and it can cut from a very ... happy song to a sad one instantly, just making the viewer confused and angry.

The plot is laughable, literally. It is one of the most basic plots with a really big twist at the end that is unseeable, but only because it is that stupid.
Overall it seems like a very young person made this with very minimal budget.

Such a low score? But why? Well, because it is objectively bad.

Now from the very start, from the opening, you understand that there isn't much to expect from the anime since even the opening is so bland, even the title looks like it was made in wordary. Very Bad.

The stlye as in the animation is at first glance good looking, but once you get past the first episode, dear lord it gets derpy. At points, people just look straight out of 7 years old drawing books, their faces are mangled and some scenes are plain ugly.

And don't get me started with the core of the ... anime, the plot. It is a complete mess. If you have only seen the first episode, then yeah, you don't know how bad it is since it seems coherent but it is TREMENDOUSLY MISLEADING. After the first episode, it's like a sudden drop in quality, pretty much hitting rock bottom. The questions start coming about everything ranging from who they are, why are they doing that to where they got their powers from. And those aren't even small questions, they are story related ones, that have a big impact.

I think this one scene summarises it all. You have a dragon flying in the sky. Why? What? Nobody knows, it is never explained and you never see it again.

Oh damn, I've watched it through like 4 times already and it doesn't get old. Somehow the animation stills holds up even after 6 years and the soundtrack, oh my god the soundtrack. It's one of the first anime where I actually googled the soundtrack because it fit so well with the feel of the anime.

Overall the characters are like balls to the walls extreme, nothing is normal, nothing is as you'd expect, even the world where they are in doesn't have any consistency. I know it can be a bit of a turnoff for some people but when executed right, I freaking love it.

And ... in the 5 episodes that it has, it never get's boring, there is just so much action everywhere, it's like a testosterone fuelled action flick.

Orange is an extremely well made slice of life anime since it doesn't focus that much on petty squabbles of highschoolers but instead on something deeper.

Now this isn't really a spoiler since it's shown in the first episode but there are two parts to the anime, the present and the future and they sent letters from the future back to the present to change it. This is where the anime shines. It shows us developed characters and the outcomes and then tries to change the present while not actually going out of it's way and maintaining the core personalities so even if a letter ... tells them to do something, if it's too outrageous, it's not going to happen.

Overally I liked the visuals and the sounds, mostly just the story made it for me since it seemed really unique and I haven't seen anything like that before. I'm also not that big of a fan of slice of life so this really was a big surprise for me in a good way.
