Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari (Anime) add

the original Tenchi series was one of my first introductions to anime - and when I saw this War on Geminar series I thought it was going to be another series aligned with that storyline - however instead of our titular good boy Tenchi navigating the misadventures of his wild gang of overpowered lady pals we have an isekai'd version named Tenshi who is stuck in another world surrounded by a host of very powerful and capable pretty ladies. We have robot armor fights , we have a harem , we have a fantasy world , we have a big school , and central ... to it all we have Tenshi - probably the best boy ever who has mastered everything and impresses everyone at every opportunity. Self insert at will to feel good about yourself.

I really enjoyed this series because it has some decent animation - the characters are great and most of all it made me laugh a lot - like a lot. This series really doesn't take itself too serious - the pervy jokes and bits of almost-nudity are done tastefully enough to dodge the ecchi tag while also making absolute fun of itself as it happens .... I won't spoil the jokes you just have to watch the show to see what I mean ( " those guys really did do whatever they wanted " ) ...

of all the harem isekai out there this one stuck with me for some reason - I remember pretty much all the characters and what happened to them. Most important of all this show made me smile and laugh a lot. I smiled at the way it has no problem making fun of itself and how well it does that , I laughed at the ridiculous stuff that happens, I snorted milk out my nose the second Mexiah appeared naked in the cage - and pretty much every other scene she was in. I have watched this series at least five times - it's become one of those comfort shows I put on when I'm not really glued to the screen and just wanna hear something I like going on in the background. Despite watching this series multiple times I still have no idea how or why Tenshi is in/on this world and I kinda get the feeling that a season two would explain a lot that was left out - that or I really need to pay more attention to those last few episodes.

this series has much more t-n-a in it than the original Tenchi does so be forewarned - there are some episodes where the entire premise is based on adult themes and they carry over so if your kid loves the og Tenchi this may not be the show for them - yet. Let them get a little older and more perverted - then it'll be perfect.

I recommend this one - as an anime fan it made me laugh a lot because it made jokes about the whole genre and I like that kinda stuff.

Mixed Feelings

This is a passable second monitor popcorn ecchi for when you're stuck at home sick for three days type of anime , and that's exactly how I wound up watching it. I watched this show to get some gainaxing up on the monitor while trapped inside with a cold - and it failed. If you like boobs and especially if you like static drawings of boobs then this is your anime - but if you like awesome animation with ridiculous amounts of jiggle and sway then this is probably not your anime because as cute as the story idea is and as copious as the ... boobery is the animation in this series is pretty low tier .. in other words this anime about boobs didn't even really animate the boobs , or much else. I feel like I am talking about boobs too much but I did just complete this series and frankly that's pretty much the one and only take-away from watching this - static images of massive boobs in bathwater , or static images of a super kitten knight nestling in cleavage , or static images of boobs bigger than the torsos they are attached to , or static images of a super kitten knight smushed between more than two boobs.To be fair the camera does pan across some of these static images at times. I watched it all the way through because I had a cold and was playing 2077 at the same time ... the characters and ideas were not horrible - they could have been good but wound up not really that good. I did laugh a lot - sometimes at the jokes - sometimes at the animation - sometimes at myself for putting the next episode on. I enjoyed the story although like most of this low tier ecchi stuff I wish it had been animated better - there were a lot of moments where the animation falls very very short of good. I can't really get down on this show too hard because it is exactly what I expected from some D tier boob service anime plop - you will get exactly what you came for and a little bit less. I'm kind of surprised that I made it all the way through as I often drop shows with animation on this level and go watch something else but I stuck this one out for some reason ... no I didn't stick around to see if she bangs the cat at the end. I couldn't help but notice that the character Beelzebuth was drawn significantly better than the rest of the cast - perhaps someone on the production team really liked that one character. There are much worse fan service animes out there .. this one is only gets a 'good' from me because I liked the story idea and it made me laugh when I had a cold. I wouldn't really go out on a limb and recommend this one to anyone - you could spend a lifetime watching better shows than this one. I think I wrote this review just to record the fact that I actually finished the series. Pretty sure that episode 13 would have been catentacle porn.

I have been watching anime since the mid 80’s and am no stranger to wild adult themes , nudity and sexual content but this show just hit me in all the wrong places. There is no way anyone who has ever enjoyed the company of another living being of any kind could debase the entire idea this hard.
