Oho! This one is definitely worth the read. The feeling I got after finishing it.. 'satisfying' is the word.
Trying to come up with a unique style for an already abundant ‘reincarnation’ premise can be difficult. I believe authors try their best to create the best possible content for people to enjoy, so much so that their feelings may show in the results they produce. For this manhwa, I can actually feel the warmth and relaxed pace the author conveys in their work. It doesn’t feel rushed, and it’s easy to understand the flow of the story.
The story isn't as difficult to decipher or guess
...
what's to happen. It's simple yet the way the story is written was composed with much thought that it doesn't feel as boring.
The truth is if You enjoy reading something with more depth and detailed in writing, something complex, I'd say this isn't for you. The story and drama here are quite simple and modest, yet intriguing enough to keep going until the end. Which is exactly why I just felt the need to praise this work of art.
The characters are lovely and cute. The art-style needs much more work to reach a higher level of recognition, but still it's well drawn. There's not much else for me to say, if I were to talk about the plot, it'll be like any other reincarnation stories out there honestly.
I felt the need to write this review solely to express my praises for the Author. I believe if they work on more manhwas, they would definitely become someone note worthy.

How do I put this.. oh yeah. It takes every fiber in my body to contain the anger within me.
[The spoiler is at the last paragraph, I already put warning sign]
This Manhwa has 🔞 scenes from the main character which is Roselia, the Villain's Mother. It's nothing horrid. It happened (a couple times within the series actually) when Her relationship with her Husband was fixed. It's nice that they have seperate chapters to warn people in case they do not wish to read those scenes. Clean chapters, and raw chapters.
During the early chapters, I could make do with the poor script writing. The
...
plot is interesting enough, 'I became the Villain's Mother', so I endured my wits reading those inscruciating poor written dialogues.
It became more agonizing as I reached Season 2. I began to notice the patterns the author use to write their plot. Once in awhile would be fine, but the pattern would repeat every few chapters within Season 2. I won't describe the pattern, but should you choose to read this Manhwa, you will soon see it for yourself what I meant.
One of the most disappointing turn off events would be when the story fast forward to where the Heroine's child was all grown, a time lapse, at that point of the story the relationship between the Heroine and her Husband had been fixed. What I anticipated most from the story was that they would have a child together! Why would the Author tease us with such ideas but not make it a reality! This isn't just a selfish wish of mine, rather the storyline itself led to a promising premise where such possibility would have existed. To me that seemed like a failed opportunity on the Author's hand. [Eventually they did have a child together, but it takes a very long time in the story.]
I try not to get too disappointed, so I tried to accept it as is. It's fine, as long as I still had some enjoyment to the plot of the story. The patterns would often repeat, the only interesting parts are when the main characters face any conflict or issues because only these two elements are what makes variety to the plot. Other than that, I would say it can be boring most of the time.
What makes this Manhwa add fuel to my anger is the unjust, the bias, the hypocrisy that pairs with the poor script writing. The immaturity! Agh! I mean c'mon! They aren't children, why is the Author so hell-bent on making them act like it?! Not just person to person, but every character in the Story! From the Royalties to Nobles, much less Peasants. Even the main characters. It really shows the Author's lack of human understanding, much less writing abilities.
It has it's good point. Like how we get to see the relationship between the Heroine and her 'Villain Family'. It's genuinely nice to see all the misunderstanding and love blossom within the family. A happy life is always worth admiring. Making friends, and fixing the family's image amongst the nobles and citizens. Bringing prosperity and honor to the kingdom. These points within the story are worth getting into, but sometimes it's just not enough. So I can't say I don't recommend it, solely because of the good parts of this Manhwa. But I also can't say I like it, cause I don't quite like it that much. Thus the low rating. That's all I have to say, hope this helps.
[Spoiler]
Roselia is the Villain's Mother. The Villain is her Son, Ein. We basically see him grow up from a child into a fine man. He finally gets married during the last few chapters of the Manhwa. This Manhwa was supposed to focus on the Heroine right? Roselia's intimate moments would be enough.. but it felt weird to include Ein's 🔞 first time as well. That's just my opinion.

This anime is basically an epitome of what true love looks like. The story might be fictional, but the emotions are raw and real. And true love does exist in this real world we love in.
I find this anime cruel for teasing us with such a lovely promise of a wishful thinking. To experience love and grow old with someone, as such, would be a blessing.. a privilege.
I experience the warmth of love that comes from family and close friends. The older I get, the less I have hope on finding love like This. But I guess that's fine.. I'm already full of
...
love for life.
This anime will make you think about the choices in life, about what could have been, what should have been. About the things we wish we could change, about the inevitable things that comes our way. Some things can't be helped. Some things still have time to do. Either way, this anime does make me think about some aspects of my life. And as sorrow as I look, with a smile on my face, baffled at myself. "That's just life", I say. And we're all just surviving aren't we.
I can't seem to make up my mind on how I feel about this anime, because I do recommend it. Just that, as much as I enjoyed it, it also hurts. Both in a good and bad way.. perhaps. I don't know.. But enjoy, and have a nice day~

As someone who enjoys singing, this anime was a delight! It really tickled my funny bone. The humour really lighten my mood and is a great distraction from the negativity of life.
Sad to see it only has 5 episodes, but honestly I can see why it must end at 5. Any more beyond that would turn into a romance novel.
And morally speaking, that would be a disaster. It felt odd to see an impressionable boy having to deal with all those difficult feelings, but i'm glad he managed to compose himself. Somehow all the frustration we see the boy experiencing, is something we
...
can all relate to at some point during our lives.
A touch of chaos to this supposedly lighthearted anime.. Makes people think. And the thoughts on it are pleasing to contemplate about. At least for me.
If you wanna see grown men singing badly to cure your small ache, I recommend this one. To those who enjoys music, and those enjoy midnight thoughts. Take care~

I can't take this anime seriously with Sugita Tomokazu as the VA for our main Hero, paired with Hayami Saori VA of the Heroine. Two seasoned voice actors, when I close my eyes I imagine Gintoki from Gintama and Ayaka from Genshin Impact. Just imagining them in the studio rehearsing and reading their lines, I feel like the Heroine must be having a hard time dealing with the Hero's silliness. But in a good way.. or so.
It's just something I find funny. But you wanna know what's not funny though? Sugita-san being casted as the Hero in this series. It was something I had a
...
hard time accepting at first, I was really perplexed at how his voice was match with his Character's design. It just didn't sit right to me. Eventually I learned to accept it as each episode pass by. Sorta like an acquired taste I guess.
Upon a lot of thought, perhaps the Hero's silliness was a good match for the distressed Heroine. We all love a good tragic background story. Especially one where the Heroine escapes that past life. A Hero that does not take advantage of her situation, a savior that is decent. Most of the time we find an anime where the chance of a Savior being decent is 50-50. I'm glad Sugita-san is on the right side of this. This anime overall, is good. Fuwa Fuwa vibes.
Which is exactly why it may be boring for some viewers. Everything is just so calm, so lighthearted. Even with some battles scenes and a little bit of drama. It's an anime about the relationship between the Hero and Heroine. As the Hero help guide the Heroine in learning how to take control of her life, to gain confidence, to love herself more. This part, I enjoyed it. I'm happy for our Heroine, we get to see her grow overtime. As well as the loner Hero who soon finds himself being surrounded by company, isn't so bad after all.
Both of their lives, that once was dull, lonely, tragic, is now filled with colours and laughter. The side characters are a quite a bunch. Very colourful, very mouthful. I'm quite happy that there aren't any indecent plots in this series. As I mentioned, very fuwa fuwa vibes. Lighthearted, soft, happy, funny. A little bit of sob story from their past but that's about it.
Which is exactly why although I enjoyed it, I didn't quite love it. So I'll give it a 7. But--!
The last scene from the last episode reminded us again about the current issue that the Heroine was facing. This reminder didn't specifically rilled me up, (eh?), but it is true I have high expectations for the next season. Season 1 was kinda dull, good, but it was dull. But I'm sure season 2 is where the drama will kick in and that's when I'll be excitedly watching with both hands on my ramen bowl slurping them noodles excitedly.
My most common rating on animes I enjoyed is always 8, but I just can't seem to give this one an 8. So in anticipation for a Season 2, I'm hoping for them to drop all the drama onto us, the revenge of the Demon Lord Allen upon those who wronged his beloved Charlotte, hopefully their romantic development increases as well! (Though usually with animes like these, the romance development usually takes a century old to happen so I don't really have high hopes).
That's all from me~! Hope my review helps in whether or not you'll watch this anime!~
Take care~

[Me before finishing the anime]
As of writing this, Netflix hasn't release all the episodes yet. I'm taking a break after episode 8.
I can't stop laughing! Not because it's funny! But the opposite. The unfunny is tickling my funny bone. I can't with this anime. What the actual fudge is going on. Though to be fair, one of my favorite part from this is the Grampa character, he thought that death's army was living under his roof. His historical plea to meet his wife from above.. that got me. I feel you Grampa, I also feel like dying having to watch this show.
Just when I thought
...
a serious scene was coming up, another weirdo shows up! Like! AGHHHHHH. My spirit, it's turning me into a dried raisin.
Watching this anime feels like you're on edge worrying the FBI is gonna knock down your door and handcuff you. Of all the bad stuff I've done with my life, this anime in my watched list on Netflix is gonna be the crucial incriminating evidence that would send me behind bars for years.
It's just that bad. After they introduced that Sketchy Teacher character, I've learned to prepare myself for the next big weirdo that shows up. Gawd is it awful.
GAWD I need to cleanse my image of vampires pronto. Need to rewatch The Vampire Dies In No Time again for therapy after this is over. Wish me well on my recovery.
Let me clarify: it's gawd awful, but bearable to watch. Though you'll feel like your soul is slowly withering away. Weirdly enough. It's entertaining to watch, whenever the vampire has a 'surge' of 'love' for the boy, it definitely makes you turn your head away, leaving you with cringe and despair. This anime is all about a weirdo obsessed with virgins. That's it. All about virgins.
It's morally foul btw. You should be able to tell so just by reading this anime's description. That's enough to know what you'll get yourself into.
[Me after finishing the anime]
.. To be Continued ..

(start of synopsis, maybe)
FINALLY. An anime where they point out the sussyness of the so called 'Saint' powers. The usual plot of any typical anime, game, novel, etc, always makes out the 'Holy Saint' to be one that is powerful, extraordinary, and overly charming. 'Charm' itself is a psychological tool those with high emotional intelligence use. To manipulate, to control. Sincerity itself may be pure, but love and hate lives side by side. Only the person themselves can determine if their so called 'charm' is genuine or not.
And I love that that's what the Villainess's problem is with the Saint. The Villainess and The Saint.
...
Both show a front that is sincere but only one is acceptable by sociatal standards. Having ideals for a better future is great, but preaching alone will do nothing. To take initiative, that takes such a great character.
What makes this anime a great watch is the fact rather than making the Saint the bad guy, this anime shows that to be in the shoes of one with high expectations can really mess a person's mind. The immaturity of their actions, without proper guide, the Saint is just a lost child, confused, scared, and alone. Due to the fear she has, without conscious her behavior impacts the lives around her. Even when she was worshiped, the loneliness never left for there is doubt.
That's where the Villainess comes in. Guiding her, teaching her, learning about the powers of the Saint. All while finding solutions for other issues that come along her way. She hides her caringness under the guise as favors that would benefit her. Her sillyness of trying to be the Villainess that goes down in history, might not be so bad afterall.
(end of synopsis)
I had problems with the early episodes of the anime. The major one being, she was 7! 12! when prince ikemen over there started really paying extra attention to her like um.. ok.. this is awkward.. I can at least understand the mental capacity they had for one another, and the fact the attraction is pure love for each others personality. And given the timeline and culture, I guess it's passable. Eventually, but especially in the last episode, Prince Ikemen really proved his love, and for me that gave me my blessings for them.
(but I condemn this in real life, no excuses)
Although the plot is as typical and similar as any other animes out there, I digress. I'm a simple person who enjoys even repetitive plots, as long as there is good writing that is worth my attention. This one was very enjoyable. The Villainess is very cool and her designs are very cute! Her companions are as lovely. In fact, as a Villainess we can't expect her to have too many companions that would be on her side, but I'm so glad they at least made one of her brothers who was on her side from early on. That honestly was a very nice touch.
We didn't get to learn much about other characters, there were some who definitely piqued my curiosity. For example characters that we know are charmed by the Saint, but some looked like they weren't charmed. It was never clarified. Like some of the Saint's Ikemens groupie.
The ending definitely left on a cliffhanger, I REALLY hope there will be more seasons. But if it takes too long I might as well start on the Manga soon!
Anyways! That's all I have to say. I really didn't expect this is how my review would turn out. Cause on the early episodes I was hellbent on calling out the Prince Ikemen's behavior lol. But after the last episode, I came in here asap and just started writing how I feel. And I feel such admiration for Alice-sama. May her Villainess route reach a happy ending that is deserved.
Take Care~ ☀️

How should I put this. Some people will enjoy it, some will not. To 'Recommended' is to have expectations that a series will sell well. Although I enjoyed this anime a lot, with a heavy heart I must rate this as 'mixed feelings' because I believe it will not be as popular as other high rating animes within the romance genre. Again, personally I ENJOYED it!
Based on the online reviews, I can see a lot of controversies regarding this anime, especially on the 'romance' and 'morals' aspects of it. So in my opinion, if you were to dive into this piece of artwork, you must
...
enter with open eyes and prepare yourself as what you will be watching is not the typical heartwarming shouju romance. Treat it as pure entertainment, with bits of darkness that includes unethical morals. After all, this is fiction. In no way should a person believe any of the acts within the anime is permissible nor encouraged.
So please, I'll commit toaster bath if I see kids making thirst traps of these characters on TikTok cause I SWEAR TO GOD 💢
Why did I enjoy it?:
First of all, the Artstyle caught my attention. I was awed as I studied the artwork within the anime. It is indeed unique. It felt very familiar to me as it felt like I was reading Manwha (Korean Comic). The art is very similar! The intensity and dramatic effects depicted in the anime are common in Manwha, or at least the majority of what I have read. I think the Author's choice was brilliant! That's why the whole insanity, immensity, Yakuza intensity, paired with the art choice was brilliant.
Although.. would I consider this as 'dark anime'? Honestly, it's not that dark. The moral dilemmas are horrible nonetheless. But the violence is quite mediocre. To had introduced this as romance was probably a mistake, but then again it is centered around romance so can't really change the tags. If they had introduced this anime as Psychological Studies, would the anime garnered different opinions instead?
The chemistry or supposedly traditional drama surrounding yakuza culture is always an interesting topic to venture into. Especially for foreign viewers. We can't quite pinpoint which is reality and which is fiction. Perhaps the lack of understanding is exactly the cause of heat within the community.
The anime Characters? Personalities? Character Development? I'll quote above: Insanity, Immensity, Yakuza Intensity. As we ponder whether the male lead, who is not quite there in his head, is capable of love or is it infatuation? And the female lead who holds many mysteries (which I feel like I could guess the plot twists). The world of the Yakuza; Violence, Power, Obsession.
If you have similar taste in anime like mine, I really recommend it! But if you have a weak stomach, no need to give yourself an ulser. Anyways, take care and stay safe~!

If I could share my home screen picture widgets and keyboard wallpaper, that itself would have summed up on how I feel about Uramichi Oniisan. Uramichi-san, Marry Me.
Basically an anime about the daily life of a working class adult, but with a touch of realism (instead of the goofy comedy trope). You wake up, got to work, eat, go home. 5 times a week excluding weekends except the typical involuntary UNPAID overtime when the boss calls you up asking, which the answer will always be Yes, that he needs help.
"Ah for the company, it is our duty as a hard working employee to make
...
sure the company prosper in good will!" as we exclaimed with our coworkers knowing the boss is listening in the background, while inside we are screaming wishing death to reap our souls.
(is this a review or am I just complaining about life?)
Well if you are a working civilian with similar habits as the characters, you will definitely enjoy the anime. Like hey, we all need a comfort show that can represent our frustrations towards work-life, this is it.
All-while the struggles to mask a smile while lying to our feelings. In order to not only please those we are working with but also the kids we are responsible to work with for the day. Dealing with stubborn co-workers or those who gossip behind our backs. The characters are amazing to put up such a front in the workplace.
Amazing? "We're just being professional, there's nothing to gloat about. It's all for survival in order to live in this society that cares more about representation rather than our feelings." is what Uramichi taught me :D And more about the true harsh reality of life is what he teaches the kids he works with. Although Uramichi is depressing most of the time, he admits the kids can be a shinning star in his mist. The rest of the characters he works with are as interesting, although sometimes they can be a bother, Uramichi is as caring as can be when dealing with them.
That's all from me. By the way the guy is RIPPED kyaaaaaaaa XD
"this guy is nothing more than a boring man that has nothing going on in his life except his obsession with working out 24/7" -Uramichi's coworkers last words

OhMyGah the last episode had me in tears! If the manga has a continuation for what will happen next then I am definitely buying it! Even when I was watching this anime, I was certain there were many chapters left out that I would probably had enjoy.
Not often I fangirl this hard for a ship! Although the anime is quite simple with common plots like many other animes out there, perhaps what captured my heart is it's calm and relaxed atmosphere. Perhaps I needed a break from all the intense drama, romance, battles, etc genre.
If you're looking for something calm and relaxing then definitely check
...
this out. The battles, the drama, etc, doesn't consume a lot of energy. Fine for a chill evening.
