Fragtime is a short and simple anime movie with deep characters. This film's main focus is its characters. If you are here for the supernatural elements or spectacular animation, you might have to lower your expectations, not saying that it's bad or anything. One main thing that kept this movie from reaching its full potential was its length: some parts felt a bit rushed, some could have been a bit longer to let us connected/followed the characters and story better. As a fan of the drama and Shoujo-Ai genres, it's a pretty good film to watch. Solid 7/10.
Here's my breakdown in details:
Story 6/10:
The story
...
is simple, a popular girl and a socially awkward girl with time-stopping ability. The main focus of the movie isn't the story. It only uses the supernatural element on a superficial level to move the story forward, without really diving into it.
Characters 8.5/10:
As mentioned in the aforementioned paragraphs, the movie excels in its characters. I liked the depth of the main cast, the drama works well thanks to that. Yes, on paper, the characters sound generic, however, it doesn't get boring as the story progress. I love seeing how it progressed.
Development 8.75/10:
Another strong suit is the development. Our characters don't stay the same from the start to finish. It felt so nice seeing how our characters turning into a different person at the end, showing that what they experience has changed how they used to be, in a good way.
Atmosphere 7/10:
Nothing special to be said about the atmosphere of the show, it's just decent. Typically of what you would expect from a high school theme. Though, the school element has quite a presence in the overall story build up.
Storytelling 5/10:
My biggest issue about the film is the storytelling elements. The film's length is only 1 hour so it's to expected giving its duration. There are pacing issues: some part of the story could have been fleshed out more, like Moritani's powers, or by giving more screen time to our main cast to show how their relationship progresses (GL element).
As for the OST, the music was nice though not too memorable. Nonetheless, it does its job of enhancing emotions of certain scenes in the movie
Animation 8/10:
A simple yet beautiful animation. The studio does well to animate the story, nice art style.
Personal Enjoyment 7/10:
A solid 7/10 not a bad show, just that it was simply too short for me to get attached to the characters. The story was moving rather too fast for my likings. Other than that, the movie was overall an enjoyable experience, love the development throughout the story and the drama elements is well executed.

Amazing. Simply Amazing. Emotional. Great Characters. Superb Animation. Good Music/OST. Overall, a 10 out of 10 movie.
If this is what you are looking for, then Maquia might be the answer for you. This movie will break and heal your heart.
Unfortunately, I did not get the chance to watch this in theater. Despite that, it does not change the fact that this is an absolute cinema of an anime.
Story 9.5/10:
Maquia has a quite interesting world building despite having similarities with typical fantasy anime. The premise and its ancient legends could’ve been explored a bit more. It is a shame that it was not. The same
...
could be said with other countries in its world. But that is not really the main point of the show, it is more about its characters.
Characters 10/10:
While the story might be simple, the emotional impact comes from its characters. In my opinion, the movie really shines when it comes to its characters, particularly our main characters: Maquia and Ariel. The film does an amazing job at showing their relationship right from the start to the end and connecting you to the cast. I love the portrayal of Maquia, specifically her personality, being a mother figure to Ariel. And seeing her progression really hits hard. Maquia’s motherly affection is heartwarming throughout.
The trait of Maquia is similar to Frieren so if you like Frieren you probably will like this. Although, their personality is like day and night.
Development 9.5/10:
Seeing our main cast change throughout the story was a joy to watch. How they fight through their struggles. Especially, Ariel growing up, watching his interactions with Maquia changes. So as the side characters in the series, despite not getting much screen time, the show still shows that they are not static characters.
Atmosphere 10/10:
The second strongest element in this film for me is the atmosphere. The movie manages to make me feel immerse into the world like I am with the character. Part of it is due to the excellent soundtrack in the movie.
Storytelling 8.75/10:
On the other hand, this section is the weakest in the movie. It has a bit of a pacing issue. Some part of the movie felt a bit too quick. When there is a time skip, the movie does not tell you directly. You have to figure it out by looking at the changing details. Nevertheless, the overall storytelling is decent: not too slow or too rushed except for some portions.
Animation 10/10:
Movie level animation is most of the time guarantee to be top quality. And this is no exception for Maquia. The staff at the P.A. Works does an amazing job in animating this movie. It is not as spectacular as those big studios: MAPPA, Ufotable, of course. However, the details in the animation is still top quality. There are some CGI scenes here and there, but not many. The CGI itself does not look bad.
Personal Enjoyment 10/10:
All right, I will admit it, I cried. I am bound to cry if the characters were this enjoyable to watch, and seeing the stuff at the end after what I have seen. That is just good directing. Nothing beats motherly love, it really hits you in the feels. Not to mention the ending song, beautifully sung. This will be in one of my few 10s and potentially my 3x3.

I’m not that big of a fan of mecha anime. However, I can say that 86 manages to be surprisingly good. Enjoyed it more than expected, particularly the drama elements. While it’s a little bit slow for me at the start, the ending paid off. With a compelling plot and world-building, 86 Part 2, the continuation of the story that was left off from Part 1, expands the world of the series with a different style of storytelling by focusing on just one side of the characters. It continues with the same set of characters with some new additional side characters and stories. The animation
...
still holds up to A-1’s standards‒–beautifully animated. Do mind that there’s some CGI if you’re not a fan of it, but it’s not too easy to notice and it’s done pretty well.
Story 8/10:
Part 2 continues the story of our main characters, and expands upon the worldbuilding aspect, giving more depth to the story. Seeing the perspective of other surviving countries besides San Magnolia. Though, only one country has been mainly shown. That being said, the story does follow the same formula as Part 1, minus the racism part. Where our main heroine fights off a character who turns into a monster. Unlike the first cour where we were shown 2 sides of the character, this time we are more focused on Shin’s perspective of things. Less of the republic side has been displayed compared to the first part, resulting in characters being absent.
Character 8.5/10:
From my perspective, 86 excel in the character department; the emotional payoff from the characters in this season is phenomenal, especially in the few episodes of the show. While the new characters that were introduced don't give the same feels as the previous part does, they do have depth and some developments. The same set of characters was as good as they were. This cour made me care for the characters more than Part 1.
Development 7.5/10:
Characters in this show change throughout the season, not just a static character. At first, I was somewhat annoyed by the new kid character that was introduced in the season. Later, I didn't mind her at all. Even the side characters have development in this show. Moving on to the main cast, Lena, really enjoyed her development and changes in her character, probably my favorite character in the story .Shin’s development is portrayed in subtle but noticeable ways. The rest of the main 86 crew, not a lot of drastic changes, but compared to Part 1 they definitely have changed.
Atmosphere 8/10:
The show does a pretty good job setting up the atmosphere and stakes of the situation. Specifically during the large-scale offensive part. OST played a pretty big role in this department thanks to the masterpiece composed by Hiroyuki Sawano; Avid is such a good song, especially the ep 22 version. You can feel the sense of despair and hope in the most dire/intense moments.
Storytelling 7/10:
As aforementioned, the storytelling in this cour is different from the first part, where the story focuses on more of Shin’s side, which, in my opinion, I don’t mind, but would’ve loved to see more of the republic’s side. Nevertheless, the storytelling is still pretty good and keeps the audience engaged. The pacing is decent. It’s on par with the first part.
Animation 8.5/10:
A-1 has done a pretty good job bringing the series to life. While there is some CGI, which is not a problem for me at all, the fight scenes involving the mecha are still pretty cool to watch. Nothing to say other than it’s very good.
Personal Enjoyment 8/10:
I didn’t watch the show during the initial hype, so I didn’t get why there’s so much fuss going on around the show. While the start of the show is quite slow for me to be engaged with the story, as the plot progresses I become more and more invested in the series. As that investment really did pay off in the finale of the series. Seeing how it started and ended, you can really feel the emotions the series is building upon. If you love the drama genre, like I do, make sure to check it out!

Solo Leveling, some might say, the quintessential of power fantasy. It might be basic and a bit cliché, but it sure is entertaining. If you’re looking for an anime to watch for the action with strong MC who solos everything, this is probably what you want to watch. Cool fight scenes and pretty good animation, everything you could ever ask for in an action power fantasy anime.
Story 7/10:
While the story might not have done anything extraordinary (yet), it does the world building quite well. Would love to see what the story has to offer in future seasons (If season 3 gets announced). Most of the
...
season is just Sung Jin-Woo stepping up at the direst moments, which gets somewhat repetitive. Still, the fight scenes are as entertaining as ever.
Characters 8/10:
Solo Leveling does have an interesting cast and design. In terms of writing and depth, there is a lack of character depth in characters other than our main MC, Sung Jin-Woo. Some characters might be introduced. Later, after their arc ends, they just become irrelevant. (From what I’ve heard, the Manhwa explores characters and the world better). Only a couple of characters are focused on in the show.
la
Development 6/10:
Compared to season 1, Jin-Woo’s character doesn’t go through a drastic change. What I like about Jin-Woo is at least they didn’t write the MC as a cold person who lacks emotion. In season 2, Jin-Woo is the guy who emits main character energy —even the cast admits it— and saves everyone in the process. That is just who he is.
Atmosphere 9/10:
The atmosphere in the show is quite good. Part of it can be contributed by the OST, which is composed by Hiroyuki Sawano. The atmosphere adds to the scenes: in emotional scenes, you feel with the characters; in intense scenes, you can feel the stakes, how dire the situation is.
Storytelling 9/10:
The story knows that you are here for “Actions and Fight Scenes”, and it gives you just that. Each arc is quite short, but quite well-paced, not too rushed or dragged out. Every single moment in the series has something to do with the story, rarely a filler/ unnecessary scene. A lot of people love to talk about the cliffhanger in the show, which is devious. It makes you want to watch the next episode immediately, hooking you into the series.
Animation 10/10:
A-1 standard, as expected, adapted the anime quite well. Fight scenes are better animated than season 1. Not really nitpicking the animation quality that much.
Personal Enjoyment 8/10:
As mentioned earlier, the show is entertaining, but I would love to see characters other than Jin-Woo. I feel like if more depth could be added to those characters, exploring these characters might add to the story, making us want to see them on screen. If you’re watching it solely for the fight then this is definitely the show you want to watch.

Bloom Into You (also known as Yagate Kimi ni Naru) explores the complexities of love and self-discovery. Though, if you are not into drama, this shows might not suit your liking. Despite being flawed, this show manages to make me love it a lot.
I've never watched any GL anime before, so it's like a breath of fresh air, trying a new genre. I thought the show looks interesting so I gave it a try.
TL;DR below
Story: 8/10
I started watching Bloom Into You expecting it to be a typical romance story, but it turned out to be a breath of fresh air, especially in the Romance-Drama genre.
...
Koito Yuu, a girl who long to experience romantic feelings but has never felt them before. Nanami Touko, a girl who appears perfect in everyway, but doesn't want anyone to love her. The drama element is polished, avoiding overuse or unnecessary tension, or relying on clichés to create tension. The pacing is pretty good, with every scene contributing to the story and development, not rushing nor feel slow-paced. Monologues are often used to express the characters' inner thoughts, enhancing their emotional depth.
Character: 9.5/10
I quickly became invested in the characters, especially the dynamic between Touko and Yuu. Their interactions are cute, and even in emotional scenes, you can feel the depth of their relationship. Other side characters, like Maki and Sayaka, are also good as well. Though, they might not have a lot of screen time.
Development: 9/10
As the episodes progressed, characters, especially Yuu, developed gradually. Her characters undergo subtle changes, little by little. As she began to questions herself about her feelings more and more. Everything feels natural, as time goes on, the character changes. I really enjoyed seeing the developments unfold and seeing how character's relationship strengthen.
Atmosphere: 9/10
The atmosphere in the show is pretty on point. The cute scenes are very adorable. Dramatic scene are also emotional. The music plays a significant role in setting and enhancing the emotions of the scene.
Storytelling: 9/10
As mentioned before, the story is well-paced. It does a good job in showing character progression and their journey. The monologues help adding character's depths.
Animation: 10/10
TROYCA does an amazing job bringing this show to life. They even add some anime original scenes, making it fun to watch. The lighting also helps adding emotions to scenes as well. While it might not have the best animation quality or art style, the studio and staff really did a good job making the show come to life.
Personal Enjoyment: 10/10
Heavily biased, I won't denied it; there are noticeable flaws about the series. Even I'm surprised that this show makes me love it so much. There's something very charming about the show for me that I can't explain it into words. The OP and ED is amazing as well, so as the inserted song, OST: such a vibe.
TL;DR
Bloom into you is a really good series with good cast: dynamic between characters and development. Decent storytelling and atmosphere. Though, if you are not into drama, this shows might not suit your liking. The animation/art style might not be top-tier, but the animation studio has done a good job animating the show, bringing it to life.
