Dungeon Meshi (Anime) add
Dungeon Meshi is a rare gem that takes a familiar fantasy setting and transforms it into something endlessly creative, heartfelt, and unforgettable. What begins as a quirky premise—adventurers cooking and eating monsters to survive in a dungeon—quickly reveals itself as a richly layered story filled with humor, worldbuilding brilliance, and genuine emotional depth.

One of the series’ greatest strengths is its imagination. Every monster, dish, and ecosystem is thoughtfully designed, making the dungeon feel like a living, breathing world rather than a simple backdrop for combat. The way food, biology, and magic intertwine is clever and surprisingly grounded, turning each meal into a mini exploration of ...

Preliminary (49/? chp)
Yomi no Tsugai is a gripping, fast-rising manga that proves Hiromu Arakawa hasn’t lost her magic—she’s sharpened it. From the very first chapter, the series pulls you into a world where folklore, mystery, and raw human emotion collide, and once you’re in, it’s almost impossible to stop reading.

What makes Yomi no Tsugai so compelling is how effortlessly it balances action with intrigue. The concept of the “Tsugai”—paired supernatural beings bound by rules, contracts, and hidden truths—is endlessly fascinating, and Arakawa uses it to build a power system that feels fresh, dangerous, and deeply tied to character psychology. Every reveal raises new questions, and the story ...

Fool Night (Manga) add
Preliminary (102/? chp)
Stop reading reviews and start reading this incredible manga. The best new gen by a huge gap.The fist chapter will have you hooked. What really makes Fool Night stand out is its atmosphere. The art is expressive, perfectly matching the somber tone of the narrative. Each chapter feels intimate, focusing on ordinary people confronting extraordinary choices, and the manga excels at showing how systemic despair affects personal relationships and self-worth. Instead of preaching, it lets quiet moments and small decisions carry the weight.

Thoughtful, melancholic, and deeply human, Fool Night is a slow-burn series that lingers in your mind long after reading. It’s an excellent choice ...

Golden Time (Anime) add
Golden Time tries to present itself as a more mature college-age romance, but in practice it doubles down on the same flaws as high-school romcoms — just louder and messier.
The amnesia plot is the show’s biggest weakness. Instead of being used to explore identity meaningfully, it becomes a cheap reset button for drama. Conflicts are manufactured by memory loss rather than arising from believable character psychology, making emotional moments feel artificial.
Kouko, like Taiga, relies heavily on extreme behavior framed as endearing. Her possessiveness, emotional volatility, and boundary-crossing are rarely challenged by the narrative. Rather than growth, the story normalizes unhealthy attachment and calls it passion.
Character ...

Toradora! (Anime) add
Preliminary (21/25 eps)
Overrated.
This boring slop comeddy with some romance might be the worst series i have ever seen.Taiga is so annoying( i know she is a tsundere but there has to be a limit). The drama feels so forced and the character development is uneven.Same cycle over and over : mistunderstanding then yelling then emotional outburst and reset. Many episodes feel like filler dressed up as character moments but nothing actually happens.Late-series drama tries to retroactively justify everything with emotional overload rather than genuine development.I found it incredible that people actually liked it , it was a big surprise.I suppose that it is beacuse it was the fist ...

Azumanga Daioh is often praised as a classic slice-of-life comedy.
The humor is extremely repetitive. Most jokes rely on one-note character quirks that rarely evolve: Osaka is “random,” Tomo is “loud,” Sakaki is “quiet,” and Yukari is “abusive.” These traits are exaggerated endlessly with little variation, causing episodes to blur together and diminishing comedic impact over time.Tonally, the series lacks balance. Long stretches of low-energy jokes are occasionally interrupted by surreal humor, but without strong timing or escalation. When jokes miss, there’s little else to engage with emotionally or thematically.
Ultimately, Azumanga Daioh is more important as a genre pioneer than as a timeless work. Its ...

Mixed Feelings
Spoiler
On first watch, Violet Evergarden: The Movie feels emotionally perfect. The visuals, music, and romantic payoff hit hard, making it easy to call it peak.
On reflection, however, the film undermines the series’ core thesis. The TV series was about Violet achieving emotional independence — learning to live, love, and move forward without relying on orders or a single person. The movie reframes that growth as waiting for and reuniting with Gilbert, shifting her arc from autonomy to dependence. It doesn’t erase Violet’s growth — but it redefines it, and that redefinition costs the character some of her earned independence. As a result, the film elevates the ...

What to Say about this fantastic story. Visually, the anime (and manga) is stunning. The art direction is calm and melancholic, using light, weather, and landscapes to mirror Frieren’s inner world. The pacing is deliberate — each episode feels like a quiet poem, filled with moments of silence that say more than words ever could. The soundtrack enhances that reflective tone, carrying both nostalgia and warmth.

What makes Frieren stand out is its emotional subtlety. It’s not about spectacle; it’s about introspection. Every encounter with a new character or relic from the past deepens the theme of legacy — how people live on through the memories ...
