A film filled with care and love for its cast and being a broken and real human being.
Me and my friend were watching this film, and had a fantastic time. There were times when we were caught off-guard, and even as tempo or events changed in theme and the movie progressed towards its crescendo it was an absolute thrill to watch.
Expect some nudity, that as far as I'm concerned was just a love-letter to breastfeeding, not an affront to those who can't or a claim that those who can't aren't good. There was SO MUCH LOVE in this film, for all the people represented
...
within it. The voice acting was on point, the music helped lull us into a mood that fit the movie's trajectory.
The animation was beautiful, full of grounded coloring and affectionate people, body language and facial expressions. And the colors of christmas were present in pretty much every shot.
I will throw in a warning regarding some themes that are pretty dark, like child abandonment and suicide, but there is at its core a message of love and caring. It never misses a beat in ultimately delivering its message that we should care about each-other, and allow each-other to be as we are.
And I'll throw in my cents regarding the stereotypes of his film.
I have seen mentions of this movie being transphobic, but I certainly can't imagine anyone walking out of watching this film with the impression that transwomen are "stupid and confused", or anything of the sort, to be anything other than an absolute idiot. If they come into this movie, and walk away with an impression that transwomen aren't humans, then we have not seen the same movie. It may lean into stereotypes, but the same is true for every character in this film. Despite that it manages to portray them as real and living, even in the skin of such a stereotype. The drunken father, the careless boyfriend, the hysterical woman, the transwoman wishing she could give birth and more are all stereotypical themes applied to the characters of this film but I look up to them. I certainly don't have the bravado and energy within me that they do at this point in their lives, as broken as they may be. Feel free to message me if you have any thoughts on this.
All in all, probably the best Christmas anime movie I've seen.

Though the writing was on point, I was really hoping for some high-quality dancing and I WILL SAY that the dancing is solid BUT, the animation representing it is not. I just couldn't compel myself to continue watching because every dancing scene had me trying to imagine what it would look like if it was actually good, imagining a real person dancing and while that was impressive, and I enojyed it to a degree, I couldn't really convince myself it was worth it.
Sound
The voice acting was good, the music as well. It truly just came to be that I didn't like the show on the
...
premise of the dancing animations since I was really hyped up about the possibilities if done right. Unfortunately for me, I'll have to wait until either I get past the current conundrum and give it another chance or another anime comes in to take its place.
Animation
A generally very compellingly animated show that's severely dragged down by the quality of its 3D rendered dancing scenes. To clarify, we're talking jittery physics, hair that comes off as moving unnaturally and a kind of "fluidity" to the movements that reminds me more of amateur motion capture than professional quality.
Story
This is one of the anime's core strengths. It truly shines in its storytelling. We get to follow a group of students, and especially the MC, navigate his anxieties and confidence while he learns more about himself and his circles. He's also not the only one that's given room to grow, even the conventional "oh here's the asshole" gets space to self-reflect and grow as people.
Summary
If you can get past the jittery animation in the dance scenes, this story will provide you with a grounded narrative and many other great qualities. To me though, the dancing was simply bad enough to drag the score down a long way. So I'm landing on "Mixed Feelings" because I know that there are people who can get past this, and for them I'm sure this show could be a real gem.

This show has floored me with this first season. I haven't seen a better horror, and I absolutely crave anime horror. I kept looking around for solid anime horror earlier this year but found only a few samples and none really hit me as hard as some of the stuff I've seen in the past (Shiki is another personal favorite). Then along comes Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu and I couldn't be happier that we're getting a second season.
Animation: 10/10
Story: 10/10
Music: 7/10
Acting: 10/10
I don't recall the music that well but that can happen for me with lots of shows, they generally have to be really melodic
...
for me to remember them. But not once has the music underwhelmed me in this show, I know that much. As a whole it's a 10/10 for me, few anime have walked the line between the deeply unsettling, violent and wholesome so effortlessly.

Hear ye, hear ye, fellow wanderers in the wondrous world of animation! Gather 'round the glow of your screens as I proclaim the advent of an anime so divine, it could make the angels blush! As it is whimsically written in the Book of Revelations of Anime 13:37, "And behold, three maidens of unparalleled beauty did adorn themselves in the garments of gallant gentlemen, and their charm did cause the hearts of the unaware to flutter like leaves in a tempest."
Let us delve into this holy narrative where the lines between tradition and innovation blur like watercolor on canvas. In the sacred Scrolls of Seductive
...
Shenanigans 4:20, it is declared, "Blessed are the cross-dressers, for they shall confound the wise and delight the open-hearted." Our heroines, dazzling and bold, take on the guise of dashing men, turning heads and twisting fates with every flirtatious grin.
Witness the delightful disarray of the three young men, as prophesied in the Epistles of Enticing Encounters 2:22, "And the young men shall be perplexed, their cheeks aflame, as the maidens in disguise weave webs of irresistible allure." The girls, masters of playful mischief, engage in a dance of courtship that is as enchanting as it is unconventional.
Their relationships unfold with the grace of a thousand blooming roses, each petal a moment of tantalizing tension. According to the Parables of Passionate Pursuits 5:55, "Love shall wear many masks, but the heart sees true; let not the cloak deceive you, but let it draw you nearer." Every episode is a testament to this truth, as the bonds between our characters deepen amidst a flurry of winks and whispered words.
The artistry of this anime is a celestial tapestry, woven with threads of vibrant hues and daring designs. As the Genesis of Graphic Delights 7:11 proclaims, "In the beginning, there was style, and the style was good; it danced upon the eyes and stirred the soul to song." The cross-dressed elegance of the heroines is rendered with such finesse that it transcends mere aesthetics, becoming a bold statement that resonates with the very core of our being.
Let us not forget the teachings from the Canticles of Charismatic Cross-Dressing 3:16, "Verily I say unto thee, there is no greater joy than a maiden who walks with the swagger of a swashbuckler and the smile of a sly fox." The girls' audacious advances and the boys' endearing bewilderment create a harmony that is both humorous and heartwarming.
In the grand tradition of animated epics, this series stands as a beacon of originality and exuberance. As it is enthusiastically etched in the Chronicles of Cult Classics 9:99, "Go forth and spread the gospel of this glorious creation; let no screen be left unilluminated by its splendor."
So, my fellow adventurers in anime, I urge you to join me on this spirited crusade! Embrace the hotness, the flirtatious banter, the cross-dressed charm that this extraordinary show offers in abundance. May the Doctrine of Delightful Disguises guide your viewing, and may your enthusiasm be as boundless as the creativity that birthed this masterpiece.
Amen, hallelujah, and may your streaming queues be ever blessed!

This is a breath of fresh air.
I'm 9 episodes in. I don't generally have the energy to write a whole review. But I'll provide my summary points.
Positives:
+ A focus on collaboration and the value of integrity.
+ Not overtly powerful objects or magic (thus far).
+ Interesting approach to magical device design, much more interesting than 99% of other fantasy shows regardless of whether it's isekai or not.
+ A sensible approach on what it means to start off as friends and move towards romance with boundaries in place.
+ Consistent animation quality.
...
+ A very respectful tone in general.
+ The business of being a magical device inventor is given a respectable level of consideration.
+ A lot of focus on inventing, design considerations and the business side of things.
Negatives:
- Average animation style.
- The dialogue can feel stale at times.
- More focus on romance than I'd hoped, though not as much as one might fear.
Mix:
+- Interesting enough to make you wish for an anime where they go even more in-depth on magical devices.
+- Though there's definitely a lot of magical device design and talk, some might wish for even more magical devices. I personally prefer it the wayit is, perhaps going more in-depth on each device but it's a tricky line to walk. Some might like it, some might not.

This is without a doubt the most interesting world-building I've seen since Made in Abyss, though the latter definitely wins by a mile and the competition is extremely lackluster when it comes to fantasy. But, it is interesting. I usually never really find the worlds in fantasy anime all too interesting, they're all the same copy-paste worlds where mostly the characters or rules for magic differ. In comparison, this one keeps introducing new elements and how the world works in a way that is leagues beyond your conventional anime fantasy.
The voice acting is solid, the music is pretty neat, the art is a step above
...
many anime this season and the animation is solid but nothing too special (very clean though).
If you're looking for a fantasy story set in a world that's different from the rest, with a tone of mystery to it due to the unknown, I definitely recommend tuning in to see where this story goes.

Alright, straight up. This is a show for someone who enjoys a completely ridiculous premise and/or someone who feel a devious horndog inside of them when they fantasize being transformed into a dog and invited as such to very intimate situations with your previous crush. It could also be fine with someone who's looking for a little of the outrageous.
If someone actually hates this show that's for them to do, but I can't really stand behind that. This show had genuinely funny moments much because of its absolutely ridiculous nature. If you have friends with whom you enjoy watching really weird shows and don't mind
...
those shows getting horny, this may be an absolute blast. I wouldn't know though, I watched it by myself in one sitting.
Animation
The animation is standard, nothing too poor or too bad. For those who enjoy ecchi, there are some very well-done naughty angles here, and lots of panties. Not many bulges for those looking for that though, probably for the better considering we have a dog protagonist.
Music
Ambient. It was okay but nothing that sticks with you.
Voice acting
Well done, they did a great job capturing much of the sheer... DAMN of this show. There are a lot of horny moans here, so you may want to watch it with your headphones on if you have people nearby.
Story
It's a simple premise but very well executed. Know that if you're going to watch this you should expect the following narrative concepts: being horny, being a dog, comedy. Kinda. It's not a whole universe of emotions to explore, and they fit plenty of fetishes in here.
Summary
Some people call this the spawn of hell, to me that's like a catchphrase and I'm genuinely unsure of how many that actually consider it to be as such. I hope to get another season, this was a blast.

So I'm five episodes in, the the power balance is out of this world. I'll try to keep this short. Basically, if you're up for fairly ridiculous premise as far as the protagonist's goals and powers go you may be in for a blast. I can see why this may not be everyone's cup of tea but as someone who have no never reads light novels and has only touched three mangas in my life, this show is entertaining me plenty.
The comedy is there, and as long as it doesn't let go of it (which it hasn't thus far 5 episodes in) and keeps the
...
action interesting I'm in for the long-haul. Apparently if you've read the manga this show is a miss, but if you don't have any specific expectations except for a power show-off with comedy sprayed on top I think you'll find a good ride here.

Intro
Welcome to asshole company! If you're in the mood to watch assholes bicker and fight while flirting with your sense of debauchery and indecency... have a seat! I'm sure we can find a perfect place for you here. As a company we will make you into a true, an authentic and all powerful grunt. Spread our message, display utterly inhumane working conditions and then laugh at the depression induced by real-life working conditions!
Maybe not, I'm not quite sure where this show lands in its philosophy to be honest. It seems to be less about what's right and wrong and more about just dipshitting its way
...
through a story about a guy who wants to get so fucking rich he can sleep and neet all of his life on the topfloor of a luxury apartment complex. It's kinda marvelous, sometimes underwhelming, but overall very entertaining. Just let go of any sense of logic or realism and revel in fan service and power fantasies alongside a good dose of capitalistic satire.
Visual auditory experience
As far as animation goes it's reliable and of pretty high quality. To anyone familiar with the style of Konosuba you'll be right at home here, you have some decently ugly and pretty faces and the bodies to go along with them. The music is pretty forgetable, but the overall voice acting and audio production is high quality. It's all at the level where you'll thoroughly enjoy the show if you're in line with the themes. But... but I did stop an episode once and it showed me some rather rough environmental details. That only speaks for one frame though, another time when I stopped the show it was a more detailed background image with clear details. Ultimately, that's not something I care too much about when I'm watching the show so it doesn't affect my score much.
Story & Characters
Mm... honestly, I don't have much energy left. But the characters int he show are entertaining, the only ones that have any real sense of originality are the main character and the human hero, both obsessed with their ideal working scenarios. The crew is somewhat quirky and intelligible, and the obligatory trap is in plain sight.
Overall
Overall show is pretty good thus far, I don't think it'll linger in my memory for that long but it's definitely a solid time killer.

This review is from Episode 1 to and including Episode 4.
I'll summarize the art and sound into one segment. The visuals are solid, and the audio is great. The animation itself could be smoother, but it's already good and shows plenty of character.
As for characters and story, this is where I don't know if the show lives up to my expectations. I was personally hoping for a muhc more down to earth takeon skateboarding, but instead we have the usual power struggle against some superhuman at the top of a skateboard world, fully equipped with an evil sounding voice and a headquarters. Because of how
...
over the top this antagonist is, and the rest of the cast aren't too far off, I can't get as into the flow of the show as I would have liked. For those who are looking to enjoy some cool skateboarding, perhaps with some more natural character development, I'd recommend you go elsewhere. But, if you're on the lookout for some characters that are easy to get a feel for and enjoy a light ride with... you've found the right place.
As far as enjoyment goes, I don't think this show is a must-see for skateboarding fans. The way it presents skateboarding isn't very intriguing. I would have hoped for a much more nerdy journey, but instead it feels like skateboarding is the setting while the story is something else.
Basically, if you're into the idea of something easy to digest with a skateboarding theme, and don't mind some extravagant characters, check it out. But if you're looking for something more serious with seriously neat animation on different skateboarding moves you're better off waiting for another skateboarding anime... in ten years or so. Anyways, I don't see the anime diverging from the style described in thsi review in future episodes.
