This is a bad anime. It's honestly unclear how it even got such a high rating. Let's break it down. Spoilers are in
tags.
World setting
Basically, it’s a world at war, but characters kind of die and kind of don’t. None of it really matters, because the author only remembers this in the last few episodes and dumps a bunch of random nonsense like “two sides fought, one won, hooray.” The rules of the world don’t work, or work selectively. There’s an artifact that prevents healing and resurrection, but if someone dies from something else, suddenly resurrection works again. So what’s the point? Why don’t
...
characters just kill themselves and respawn? The author clearly didn’t think that far. The rules just shift depending on what the scene needs.
Main character
The MC is a loli who runs around in circles, makes scared faces, squeaks, and dreams of becoming stronger because she’s weak and doesn’t want to drink blood. Somehow survives through sheer luck. The high rating is probably thanks to this loli. Personally, there’s zero interest in that kind of character.
Comedy
Was lured in by the “comedy” tag, so let’s talk about how funny this is. To be fair, there was something resembling a joke in the first episode. The loli constantly gets scared and surprised, which maybe amuses certain viewers. But alongside that, there are scenes of brutal killings, finger-cutting for torture, beatings, humiliation, excessive bleeding, constant death threats, limbs being chopped off, bones being broken. Lines like “since you’re so fragile, I’ll torture you” as a man breaks a girl’s arm. Women get stabbed while tied up. Thankfully these scenes are short and skippable.
The genre tags feel like a joke. This anime should be tagged as war, horror, drama. Instead, we get "comedy" just because the loli makes faces.
Characters
The loli isn’t the worst among loli characters, but she’s not particularly special either. The rest of the cast is also pretty generic. At first it seemed like the villainess might be interesting — doing evil because she enjoys it. But no, turns out she’s just another tragic child with a load of personal trauma. Overall: boring, generic, and cowardly writing.
Plot
The initial hook is that the MC is weak and refuses to drink blood — so how will she manage? But halfway through, the author throws that premise out the window. Then comes a scene that kills the intrigue entirely.
She just starts drinking blood, turns into a super vampire, beats everyone, and conveniently forgets what happened.
So the show can keep pretending she’s weak for more scenes.
Some scenes are so poorly staged they become unintentionally funny — which doesn’t justify the "comedy" tag since they weren’t meant to be funny. Example: a girl is crucified, her hands nailed to a post. One hand comes free, yet she keeps hanging in the same pose. Probably because dangling from one arm would’ve looked ridiculous.
Another scene: a villain punches a girl in the face, sending her flying across the whole battlefield, only for her to land right next to another character. Might as well slap a "sports" tag on it. It was hilarious, but definitely not in the way it was intended.
In the second half, there’s another attempt at humor:
a new character claims to have accidentally defeated a crimson general with a stray fireball while walking by.
Maybe in a genuinely funny show, this could’ve worked. Here? Flat. The rest of the “jokes” aren’t even worth mentioning.
Fanservice
There’s fanservice, technically, but the characters look like naked mannequins. It’s just awkward and silly. “This kind of fanservice is not needed, comrades.”
Conclusion
To quote the show itself — in the first episode, when describing the world, the author says: “words can’t describe what nonsense this is.” Agreed. The whole anime boils down to: loli runs around, someone starts beating her,
she drinks blood, turns strong, wins instantly, then forgets everything
, rinse and repeat.
Still no idea how this has a rating of 7. Seems like it's mostly driven by niche preferences for loli characters, because everything else barely scrapes a 5.

This is like hentai but without the sex and with bad art. The whole anime is just the same thing over and over. A black elf girl shoves her boobs in the main character’s face, then someone suddenly jumps out from around the corner and boom, the scene is over. That’s it for 12 episodes straight. There’s literally no plot. I had to watch it at 3x speed or I would've gone insane.
Fanservice is boring. Maybe because there’s no context, or maybe because the female characters are drawn like childish doodles where you can’t even tell what gender they are. The only thing that’s somewhat
...
drawn is the boobs, and even those are bad.
Anything that could have made it remotely interesting, like it being set in another world, the presence of magic, or the fact that the girl is a black elf, doesn’t matter at all. It’s just background that has no impact on anything.
In the end, I have no idea why anyone would watch this. There’s no fun, no comedy, no visuals. The screenshots are misleading and any halfway decent AI could have generated better scenes and story than this.
Definitely not recommended. Total waste of time.

The animation in this anime is decent, but that's probably its only real strength. Everything else is pretty disappointing. Watching an adult woman behave like a child pretending to be a pirate is just awkward. In a world where monarchs can execute even their own people, the main character suddenly decides to turn everyone against her just for fun. There's hardly any logic behind her actions.
The plot is hard to take seriously. It's disjointed, and many scenes feel absurd and poorly directed. The character's behavior is usually explained by some kind of magic she supposedly can't control, and the entire story leans on that. It
...
feels like the author wanted to do something original and tried to stick to a plan, but the plan clearly doesn't work.
The whole point of the anime seems to be showing off a bunch of nicely drawn tall guys. It's basically visual fan service for teenage girls, and the plot is just as shallow. Sure, the sheer randomness of what’s happening might spark some curiosity about what wild thing will happen next. But in the end, it's clear that the carrot on the stick just isn’t worth it.

A decent, watchable anime. What stands out is that the magical girls don’t hide their nature, which brings a refreshing twist. The stories are simple and light, not stressful but also not boring. At the center is a magical girl who grows closer to the "villain", the latter shows interest as well, though the misunderstanding scenes sometimes feel a bit cheap. It would have been nice to see the boldness J.C. Staff used to show in their classic works. But this has a kids' rating, with cute girls goofing around, and surprisingly, the cuteness doesn’t get tiresome and is actually quite pleasant to watch. There
...
are no dramatic moments, everything is neat and well-made. A key point is that the anime fully delivers on what you expect from it, which is rare. All in all, if you’re interested, give it a try, it's a pleasant, relaxing anime that’s made for kids but won’t hurt adults either.

This is a good, solid, and easygoing anime. It feels like it’s made for kids, but adults won’t get bored either. It’s easy to watch and chill with, especially if you’re not expecting some deep storyline. Though there is a story, it’s simple, almost unnoticeable, but it ends on a happy note. Just the way it should.
The art is on point. The characters are likable, the scenes are well-made, and the visuals show real care. You can tell the money was spent wisely. There’s really nothing major to complain about. It works perfectly as light, enjoyable entertainment. For kids, it’s great. For adults, it’s a
...
nice way to relax, either alone or with the family. No one’s going to be bored.
It’s not a blockbuster or anything groundbreaking, but it’s solid entertainment. Definitely recommend it, just like the first season. In fact, I’d say the second one might even be a little better, the silly main character doesn’t mess up as much this time, which is a nice bonus.

Overall, this is a good anime, though I was hoping for something a bit different. The author swapped roles: the “good” characters are portrayed as outright crazy villains, while the actual villains come off as kind and sympathetic. This approach feels a bit too simplistic. Still, the characters are likable, especially the main heroine, who is interesting and evokes sympathy. That said, I would’ve liked to see her act more evil, since she’s supposed to be a villainess after all.
The animation is solid and the soundtrack is great, both visually and musically, everything is on point, which adds positively to the overall experience.
The Demon King
...
inspires sympathy, he’s constantly being pushed around by pretty much everyone. It adds to the comedy, but at some point he just starts to seem pathetic. There are things to criticize, of course, but the lack of heavy drama actually works in the anime’s favor, since it’s meant to be a comedy. It stays lively and engaging almost all the way through.
The ending, though, is where it falls apart. The author clearly tried to do “something unexpected,” but it ended up feeling random and at times confusing. I found myself thinking that even a boring, predictable ending would’ve been better than this.
All in all, it’s worth watching. Arguably one of the better isekai comedies out there. A rare example of a “passable but solid” anime that stands out among the rest.

Season 3 felt noticeably weaker than the second, though still watchable. Up until around episode 9, the show maintains a decent pace and most of the problems get resolved, although the main character seems to completely forget about his motivation to avenge Shizu. After that, things start to get really strange.
There's a particularly odd moment when the protagonist is told about slave traders operating near the city. His reaction is basically, “Oh, they have slaves, that’s terrible… but I don’t really care,” which feels completely out of character. Up until this point, he was always portrayed as compassionate and willing to help people. This sudden
...
indifference comes across as jarring and inconsistent.
From that point on, the plot starts to lose direction. It stalls and feels like it’s going in circles. Scenes become awkward, the writing clunky. The slave traders come up again a few episodes later, and the main character acts like he’s just remembered the whole situation, but once again does absolutely nothing. Then, out of nowhere, the villain ends up saving the slaves, leaving viewers completely confused about what’s even going on anymore. Each episode just turns into a slice-of-life segment like “let’s build this” or “let’s start that.”
If they had ended the main story around episode 9 and released the rest as separate OVAs, it would’ve made a lot more sense. As it stands, it feels like the creators simply decided the story was over halfway through the season and just filled time afterward.
What’s especially frustrating is that there are still unresolved plotlines with real potential, like the girl in stasis or the unfinished revenge arc for Shizu. But the show refuses to explore them. It seems like the writers have no interest in moving these stories forward.
In the end, this season is weaker than the second but better than the first. Still, it's hard to recommend. I had to skip through a lot of the second half. Some scenes and story arcs feel lazily thrown together. If you’re only in it for the worldbuilding and laid-back daily life segments, it might still be worth watching. But if you’re expecting actual plot development, it’s likely to disappoint.

The second season turned out to be better than the first. This is surprising, because by the end of the first season, it felt like the author had run out of ideas. However, instead of dragging the plot pointlessly, he essentially restarted the story with fresh elements. The series changed noticeably, becoming more dramatic and at the same time more engaging. This approach clearly suits the author better.
To create the right atmosphere, the author accepted a number of narrative liberties and made some logical inconsistencies. All of this was done to set up a tense military drama at the beginning, which in turn shifted the
...
direction of the plot. Despite some drawn-out dialogues, the show remains interesting to watch. If you skip some of the conversations selectively, what you get is a dynamic story that balances serious and light-hearted moments quite well. At times, it even feels like the best episodes of Naruto.
Of course, not everything is perfect. But the characters feel alive and likable, which makes you want to keep following their journeys. One thing worth mentioning is how easily the dramatic elements are presented. The author knows how to keep the viewer’s attention without making things feel overly heavy. The plot and world-building are impressive. You can tell the author put real care and effort into the details.
Among the flaws, the main one that stands out is the protagonist's excessive kindness. Sometimes it would be nice to see him act more decisively toward his enemies and not forgive so easily.
Overall, this is a solid and well made story. The ending may be open, but it still feels satisfying. I can recommend this anime, although it might not be for everyone. To enjoy it fully, you need to be able to watch thoughtfully and occasionally use the fast forward button. I definitely don’t regret watching it and look forward to the next season with interest.

Like many anime, this one starts off fairly well, I’d even say the first scene is actually good. But the following scenes are bland and forgettable, and by the halfway point it becomes clear what this show really is. There’s a scene where the protagonists completely ignore a girl who has been enslaved, someone they could easily help, but they don’t even acknowledge her. It looks incredibly strange. Even stranger, in the following episodes they walk around with the very slaver who captured and sold that girl, and as it turns out, he knew the men who bought her planned to kill her. Yet our
...
so-called heroes ignore this completely.
At this point, something becomes clear that wasn’t obvious at first: the protagonists have lost all compassion and any sense of decency. After that, any sympathy for them vanishes, and that’s not even the worst part.
As the show continues, it shifts tone and becomes increasingly nonsensical and illogical. For example, there’s a scene where a person is tied up and struggling to escape, but seconds later easily breaks the ropes, like it’s supposed to be a joke. This kind of thing happens multiple times. The characters often act like something important didn’t just happen, even if it occurred literally a moment ago. Watching all this is extremely frustrating, as if the creator stopped caring entirely.
I also want to add that the way slavery is portrayed here is not just unpleasant, but outright unacceptable. There are actual laws that prohibit depicting slavery in this kind of way. It’s literally illegal in some places. But since it’s "just anime", it somehow slipped under the radar, even though it’s available on the Western platform Crunchyroll. It’s also surprising that this aired on TV Tokyo, since they used to have higher standards.
In short, I fully support those laws and believe that anime promoting indifference to serious issues like slavery is harmful. The fact that lot's of people on this site seems to have ignored this only proves my point. I don’t want this kind of apathy, as we clearly see on this platform, becoming the norm in our culture.

Pretty meh, yet another isekai. Basically no story: just a guy who’s apparently the strongest in the anime, effortlessly beating enemies that keep jumping at him. For some reason, it constantly felt like I was watching random Naruto episodes, but wrapped in a fantasy setting.
The best way to describe this anime: it’s like it was written by a 15-year-old Naruto fan who doesn’t really know how to write yet, but somehow got serious funding. There’s essentially no real story, the jokes are questionable (none of them made me laugh personally). There’s a bit of drama and mostly good-natured characters, though I didn’t particularly like any
...
of them. It kind of feels like a parody anime, like the author thought, “What if I make the protagonist a young boy who’s also the strongest,” and then just randomly tossed in isekai, magic, and monster battles.
Overall, there’s not much to say. Everything is very simple and clichéd, average animation, average characters. It’s not bad, but it doesn’t stand out either. It is not worth recommending, but it is not horrible.
Oh, and there’s one really unpleasant bit of censorship: they show lots of breasts, but with no nipples, which looks extremely off-putting. Honestly, I think it would’ve been better not to show them at all than to show them like that.
