Time for pros and cons listing! Woohoo!! Lists! Yay! Pachi pachi pachi~

Anyways.... I'll break it down over a few categories to make it easier for me to explain the whole thing...

Theme / Genre - ( 7 / 10 )

As a series on the genre of Adventure, Comedy, Ecchi yes Ecchi so there will be a great amount of fan service although I quite loath it to be honest despite the fact of a great number of such series is in my list - ehem -... Fantasy, Game, and supernatural? I would say they succeeded in carrying the theme well...

I'm not sure why they'd have supernatural there, but yeah... As a series withholding towards those genres... it has no doubt done well... its highly recommended if you are a fan of adventure-fantasy genre with some fan service and games,...



Story - ( 5 / 10 )

Well its fair, there's barely any reasoning to call it a "concrete story"... the whole series is basing on the fact that the two main characters are thrown into an alternate world where they must "fight" ( Play games, bet things etc ) to rise higher and battle Tet... the only way to do that is to abide by the 10 laws and win games against the other 16 "races"... I wouldn't put elves and girls with kemonomimi as a new ethnic group though but it does a well acceptable idea to class each of them by their strength in that world...

Back to the story... it goes by the most common settings you see in many series, where you need to fight new adversaries and climb up to the top or get stronger or train etc ( They don't do training and stuff in this series though... ) to get to where they need to be... fulfill dreams etc...

Agh I'm getting sidetracked again, well my point here is that this series goes by that train of plot style, defeat new adversary and meet a new one after, make allies from fallen adversaries and so on and so forth... but it does so in the manner of a more fun way than stale style of I need to train and get stronger to beat this person... xD I'm tired of that kind of series really... shounen-ish is not much of my cup of tea... and i need to stop watching shoujos before I start questioning my sexuality =o= which I doubt I will..mm

There's not much of background story for the characters... there's no meaningful story line as of yet but I doubt there will be, but there are hints of past for the two main characters... ( I'm glad they didn't put on a long ass sob story flash back ) the progress is kept simple and at a fast pace whilst concentrated on cheap gags and game battles...



Character ( 6 / 10 )

I like how that two makes a [ Blank ] is one and it couldn't operate as well separately... also the extra part where they literally can't separate from one another... I don't like the fact that their relationship sounded incestuous at times but its a fun thing to jab on sometimes... *sigh* =-=

They clearly made a distinction of Shiro and Sora in terms of their abilities and how they each can't defeat one another... as well as that they'd need each other to complete one another.. good lord get married already =o=

They sorta remind me another game freak "god" character Keima Katsuragi from Kami nomi zo shiru Sekai ( The world god only knows ) series... well very much easy to relate to but they are not entirely the same...I think at some point they mentioned the same tag line Keima used...

Also I like the fact that they are pretty much nonchalant about the fate of humanity and how they look down and understand the very weaknesses of humanity and actually use it as a weapon... literally...

Another main character... Stephanie... =-= you're just a Steph... and she doesn't really contribute much to the story line or plot progresses... she's usually there as a gag object... and as a "normal" human who would explain from her point of view what she sees in the other main characters...

I don't think I need to explain other characters because they are heavily overshadowed by the two main characters... that you don't really see much of other character's values despite the fact how overpowered they are in other fields....



Art ( 8 / 10 )

Beautifully designed world, and characters... but it has a distinct style of colour... just that it is somewhat too bright at times it hurts my eyes xD


Enjoyment ( 7 / 10 )

All and all, the series has its weaknesses but its main point would be the level of "roller coaster ride" of fun it dishes out... Its funny, overly exaggerated amount of dramatization in its animation and gags makes it just the right series for you to relax and laugh whilst not having too much of deep thoughts since they will provide a full explanation as the story progresses... Just like most shounen series... seriously... why is there so much fanservice in this series =o=



Overall ( 7 / 10 )

I think you can see the reasoning up there in enjoyment,... but this series is perfect for shounen lovers who wants a new stimuli instead of brawls and hands on action... sword fights... since this series does not concentrate on violence... As an anime series, I would say this would make a fine entertainment... and its in its league of its own... I wouldn't recommend it for anime lovers who strongly prefer concrete and wonderful story line or something entirely original...



P.S - :D the series in my list are scored completely bias nyahahah so... yeah
